I have Falken Wildpeak AT3s on my 200 series and have done 82,000ks on them with much of those ks towing 3T and still have 9mm of tread on them. I will buy them again.
Nice review. That is why I always run one tire line - BFG K02 - on all my Land Cruisers since the early 1990s. Not saying they are the best tire. They just provide me solid and consistent service for my purposes for 30 years. Glad you have had similar experience with the Falkens.
Agreed. In Calgary I have K02 on 2 vehicles, and a set of at3w on the 3rd. Id say they’re about the same in performance. The k02s looks much nicer from the side imo
After running 4 sets of KO2’s on two different vehicles; then switching to Falken AT3W’s, there’s no comparison IMO. The Wildpeak’s outperform the KO2’s on snow and ice. They also lasted much longer. Better ROI. I’m done testing tires and will stick with Falken on all my vehicles. Should mention I have had 3 sets of Wildpeak’s on two vehicles. Currently running 35’s on my truck.

Thanks for this review Andrew. It’s great getting your opinion on such an important piece of equipment. Please continue with these reviews when you have such positive experiences.
I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my 2017 Discovery and I drive A LOT! The first year I owned the car I put about 22,000 miles on it. I LOVE the tires. I've been in snow up deeper snow, mud, rock, sand, river crossing, long long highway trip on pavement and they track sooo sooo well. I will most likely get them again.
I’ve been running the at3w for a couple years now. Almost 50,000 miles in the south east US. We have deep mud and slick river rock on our trails. I’ve been buried up to the frame in my 2 door Jeep jk and have been able to claw my way out. I plan on switching to the mud terrain next set. They have been an amazing tire. 50k on them with tons of life left.
I have been running the Wildpeak AT3s on my Amarok for a couple of years now. They have performed absolutely great 👍 both in rocks, gravel, rain and snow ❄️ the only situation where they struggled for grip was on pavement with packed ice - but to be fair only a studded tyre will perform well in that situation..
As an outback Australian traveller all my life, I think 4wd tyres are much better these days. 30 years ago, we were fixing punctures every trip. These days we can take a group of 10 vehicles on a desert trip and nobody gets a puncture.
Great review Andrew - was tossing up between Toyo AT3 and Falken AT3W and, after watching your video and also the comments from other Falken owners, I will now be ordering a set of AT3W's - Thanks
Running Falken AT3w's, (285/70/17's), on my 2000 4Runner and I've had zero issues for 30K miles. Did several trails on the Alpine loop in Colorado and was astounded at their grip, (at 20psi), and crawled over every obstacle without a problem. They have been excellent in the rain, snow and ice. I have not had them in deep mud, but they are fine in moderately muddy situations. I have a fairly steep hill to get to my house and I don't even need 4wd in packed snow and patchy ice to climb it. I will be buying Falken's when this set wears out, but they still have 50% tread depth....might be a while.
I've been using the wild peak all-terrain's on my Pajero for the last four years I can safely say they're one of the best tires money can buy I get a lot of compliments on watt tires those are they look great where I live it's very bitchy and Sandy and they perform excellent
I have used the complete opposite end of falken’s product range, their extremely performance track tires. The common theme with the brand is that they a catering towards the “enthusiast”. I have heard of stores of tires that had manufacturing defects but falken always made the situation right. I am looking forward to getting new sets of their a/t tires for my 4Runner and Chevy 2500 to replace oem equipment that is just sub par. Keep up the great videos, I hope falken reaches out to you, from the reps I have met an track events they are wonderful people to work with.✌️
I haven’t experimented with Falken’s yet. I’ve been using Toyo, open country AT2 or AT3 for the last three sets, and have nothing but good things to say about those. Previous to that there was some coopers, firestones, BFG and Goodyear. The Toyos and the coopers are the only tire I’ve never had a flat with and up on Canada’s roughest overland route, the Dempster highway, which can be any number of things depending what time of year you drive it, the Toyos held up stupendously. They also held up on the rough tracks of Vancouver island, which our made with blast rock. I’m very interested in Falken tires after this video though, but I’d still want to stick with Allterrains because of the snow conditions we have in Canada. I express your concerns with wet road driving with mud terrain tires, but would like to add that they suffer in snow and ice too. Even some of the ones which proclaim they’re good for mud and snow.
Have to agree. I've been running at3w on my pathfinder since I got in 2019. Best single purchase so far. I've only lost traction once, and that was on a steep hill with rain, 2 wheel drive fully loaded. Road noise, no issue at all. Punctures not once yet, 40,000km everything but snow and sand. And the look good
Thank you. A very thoughtful, and well delivered review I choose to trust! I’ve come to discover with extensive online searches and actual real-life conversations, this is a tire brand to purchase next. I’ve been a loyal BFG guy for decades now. (Dang! Decades…?) However, this specific video of yours solidified my decision to make the change! True Outback and beyond!! I’m from Northern California, but have been exploring my state’s deserts, mountains, beaches, and areas way further eastward. Thank you again!
I dunno if its just me, but your reviews and content is getting better and better (like fine wine). Loved the “after you pack the heart medicine- tyres!” Im in a bit of limbo. Bought a hilux to try the 2.8/auto before i buy a 70…. Now im in a hard place. Dont like independent front ends, not sure if i want to buy the mud tyres etc and go all out setting up the hilux for the canning…. I think i will wait for you to lead the way with your 2.8 troopie build and go from there 👍👍👍
Happy to hear this review. Did lots of research before purchasing Wildpeak AT’s for my daughters Renegade. She does not go off-road but we wanted something good in snow. They track nicely and are pretty quiet. Happy so far.
If she doesn't go offroad and you want something decent and safe for winter driving, why not fit winter tires? Winter tires from reknown manufacturers are magnitudes better in winter conditions than any allterrain you can find. As a european the fixation on all terrain tires for onroad use throughout the year is a mystery to me. (they are worse than summer tires for half a year on road and are worse than winter tires the other half of the year, and aren't much better than running winter tires during summer on road.)
I chose falken over bfg once I read about the large difference in wetweather performance Maybe next time or in a few years I’ll get a used set as spares if I ever go on a big wheeling trip just to see if there’s a difference but I’m very happy with the falkens so far And my first priority with the tyres was safety and I wanted an all terrain
Love these tires, I've got them on my 08 wrangler and they have performed perfectly for me, about to put some 35's on it after a lift, but will be using the falken M/T's no question. It's not my daily driver so I can sacrifice fuel economy.
Thanks for the thoughtful review. My Jeep Rubicon JL Unlimited came with Falken MTs on it. Yes, pavement wet grip / ice grip is not the greatest. But this vehicle lives on a Wisconsin farm and spends a lot of its life in low range, with diffs locked: off road, sand, dirt, rock, mud, deep snow, over logs, the tires are pretty unstoppable. Zero punctures, so my plug/compressor kit sits in the back, virginal, unused, but ready. Wear? Can’t tell yet … got about 35k miles on ‘em and I’d say they’re good for another 20-30k. (but likely won’t) consider replacing them with ATs when the time comes, just for on-road noise reduction … I’ve rented several Jeeps with ATs in western U.S. - in e.g. Death Valley, and they’re MUCH quieter on paved road than are the MTs. But then again, I’ve never gotten stuck while on pavement; I’ll trade on-road quiet to get off road traction most any day!
Good to know. Thanks for sharing your insights. Listing your trips taken on the Falkens has reminded me of those trips and now I'm going to have to go back and watch them all again 😀
I agree with you that tires are the most important aspect of overland driving. Not to mention that it's a long-term commitment that one must live with for a few years. My Yokohama MT G003 has been like that for the last four years and 16000km over every kind of terrain possible except for snow.
Hi Andrew. I remember when you was looking for new set of tires after you finish your sponsor ship with bfg. And some people recommend falken including my self. And I happy that you really like them, because I like them too and they are for me one of the best ones. 👍👍
Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in LT285/70R17 C came OEM on my Jeep JTR. Loved em. When I went to 35 x 12.5 R17 E I went with em again. Once again love em. From pavement to beach sand to mountain mud and rocks, they’ve been great. And they have been very good in the snow in the mountains. They actually deserve the 3PMSF rating. Prefer the load range E- bit stronger and I don’t mind more of a “truck” ride. I may never buy a different tire again. Lol
5 years and 95k with at3ws in west aus with variety of highway lots of gravel lots of sand and rocks, never been stuck never had a puncture and still have about 15-20k left in them. 2wd traction isnt the best in the wet or on gravel as they grow old but other than that they are an amazing tyre which ill happily purchase again
I chose these over the BFG's, I've had them on my 100 series Landcruiser for 2 years now and I'm very happy with them, would consider getting a set of the AT's if needed.
On my second set of Wild Peak A/T3 285/75R16.Currently have 25000 + klm on them ,rotated at every service 5000 klm and have only lost 2 mm of tread from 14 mm brand new. Combination of bitumen, gravel and off road around central queensland and the gulf. The AT3 have handled everything I wouldn't even consider changing to the MT. The first set had done 65000 + when removed and probably had another 15000 klms in them going on the wear rate.
Totally agree. My previous Toyo A/T tyres hopeless on the asphalt in the wet. Actually deadly. Fitted Falken A/T great tyres and excellent in wet. They also wear better. Will buy again.
Couldn't agree more with you Andrew. Been running these tyres in the Kimberleys for 5 years now on the 200 series, only tyre that can handle it. Blown away by their durability, lack of road noise, robustness, and like you it's the 1 thing I've stopped worrying about on every trip. There just perfect.
Good pitch for the tyres, well tiptoed through the cons ,good luck with the impending sponsorship. Just in the nick of time as well for the whole fleet. Love your work. Cheers 🍻
i have a set of 255/80r17 at3w on my 2021 colorado zr2. i had a set of 265/70r17 on my old 2008 vw touareg v6 base. very good on both. the zr2 loves the snow with these tires. and rocks. for the mud i have a set of 34x10/17 interco super swampers. bad on the road and loud. just amazing in the mud and california sierra rocks.
Love my wildpeak at3w in the 31x10.5r15. Done some mud, gravel, sand and beach. Towing the camper and really only had struggles for grip in very muddy steep hills. Without the camper I got up though. Thanks Andrew for the content mb
Brilliant! This is why I love you and your show “I haven’t had to worry about tyres” - that says it all, my next set of tyres is now sorted. I think your even more fussy than me when it comes to kit :-)
Happy with my Falken AT3W’s on my 200 series (33”), 5 years 55k km. Had one stake last year off road at Cashmere Downs on the north side of Lake Barlee, fitted a single plug, then climbed Mt Forrest and Mt Elvire and it is still going. Also changed out my factory-fitted spare for the same Falken tyre several years ago, but I haven’t had to take a wheel off the vehicle in anger. Touch wood… May try the MTs, but AT seems to be fine for my needs.
I am on my second set of wildpeak AT3W I cannot recommend them enough for an all terrain. This set has 88K klms and still going strong. I am devastated that they do import an 18" Lt in the size I need for my new 4x4 that arrives next month.
Just bought a set of 5 of these 35 inch bad boys for my 2002 Lexus LX470. First impression: very aggressive look, softer ride (compared to BFG AT same size), zero vibrations. Price of 5 including mounting: €1966,- which is crazy expensive. Update after 5k: fuel consumption is up by 20% which is way more then expected. Tyre noise is much louder then expected when compared to Grabber X3 I had before. These tyres are really rough and rugged. Biggest drawback: they are extremely heavy. Like 10lb PER TYRE compared to the BFG AT’s in same spec. Don’t underestimate the extra strain on your suspension. UPDATE: I sold the Falken MT’s and switched to pizza-cutters: 235/80/17 Yohokohama X-AT
I have Falken Wildpeak MT on my Land rover in Arizona. I drive on a lot of rocky trails, and I have lost a lot of rubber chunks. I do like how quiet they are for a MT tire. They have gotten me through some "deep" mud with no problems. About a foot deep with rocks underneath. I just don't like the large chunks of tread missing.
I’ve got too many tires and not enough Jeeps! Testing the falken at3w right now but I have a set of newer ko2’s out in the shed. The wife’s Jeep has km1’s and a set of Yokohama geolandars.
I have the AT3W on my JT Rubicon and they have been pretty decent on some of our longer more severe trips but the issue I have is their weight. They are very heavy for their size and considering most Overlander’s end up installing larger tires that only adds to the degradation of the vehicles braking and street performance. My next set of tires will have a higher profile (70 to 76 series) and will go from a C load rating to an E rating. There are several manufacturers that will fit the bill AND still come in lighter…food for thought. Cheers Andrew
Interesting, My tyres are 245/75r16 cooper st maxx's and my p38 hasn't had any issues with traction loss on wet roads (or anywhere else for that matter) but has some chunks out of it over the past few years of ownership including a good amount of Tassie mud/rocks. As I understand it a softer compound reduces the wear life of the tyre but allows more effective grip. Which given (as you mentioned) I, like others, look forward to the purchase of new tyres seems like a win win for me
I have the AT3s on a Prado 18", very happy with them. Quieter and more wet grip then the BFs on road and probably the same or better off road, and have favorable reviews on snow. It is also a daily driver. Going to try some Mickey T A/Ts on 17" rims we have for more difficult offroad trips soon, also heard good things from people I trust.
I’ve been running the falken wildpeak mt on a 79 Landcruiser single cab for the last 3 years, got about 40,000 km so far. Great in the mud , no punctures and will get at least 60,000 out of them
It's serious videos Andrew does like this one that surprises me he joked around on the CSR. I know an excellent tyre too but I'm not going to say which brand.
I had the AT3Ws on my last Jeep and the Wildpeak MTs on my current Jeep. At some point I'll go back to AT3Ws because I just don't need the MTs and the AT3Ws lend themselves well to on road driving. I've also found them to be extremely impressive in rain and snow. I also have a Rivian R1T pickup. It has the 34" Pirelli Scorpion ATs but they haven't been nearly as impressive. Fortunately Falken makes a tire that fits my Rivian. I'll be getting those at some point.
I’ve also had good results with the AT3W and the MT in 285/70r17. AT3W is really good in snow and ice. MT are great in gravel. Both are much heavier than other options in larger sizes though. But if they made some tall skinny tires, I’d get them again. Set on the new Micky Thomson Baja Boss AT 255/85r17 now. 35” and skinny! Also really like the Toyo atiii 35x11.5r17.
I've run two sets of at3w and can't fault them. Like your set I may have had one puncture but for roughly 70k km and going into the local tip numerous times (probably 3 or 4 trailer punctures) and the general abuse I dish out they just work well. Wet grip is something I've found to be quite good and they also seem to perform admirably in the mud for being an all terrain. I'm going to run another brand for the next set but only to see what the competition has to offer.
unless you have contacts the general public is not aware of you might have a difficult time finding the falken MT in south Afrika. But if you do would you be so kind and tell us where you did happen to find them? thanks for the video, its always nice to watch your content.
i have only used wildpeak a/t tyres for the last 4-5years, i dont have a single complaint in in mud they are great, extremely quiet they seem to last for ever and i haven't had a single puncture or issue with them
Are you testing the 255/85 r16? I have them in bfg km2 and cannot be happier with them, won't use another size unless I can't get them. I know they're hard to get, but we must buy them in order to make them popular.
@@pelzyy Im not sure if youre talking about the AT3s. But the MTs definitely come in 255 85 16 as i bought a pair recently. Performing great so far and not too loud!
@@jamiethomas8975 you learn something new everyday, I didn't realise that Jamie. Where are you based because I haven't been able to come across them in Australia
I run Wilpeaks on my Ranger. On my Land Cruiser I run the Mikey T Baja Boss. Both good tyres but if you have the money go for the Baja Boss's. I run Toyo open country on the Range Rover. Good AT but not a heavy duty tire.
Just be careful when purchasing and buy the light truck at3 tyre. The LT are stronger and come out with deeper tred from factory. I stuffed up and got the standard at3 and got 30k from them before they were warn out and also had 3 punctures in that time. I looked after them as well with rotations, alignments, pressures etc. My friend has the LT ones, although noisy, he has had no punctures and he's at 60k on them now with plenty of tred left
@ASPW....A little while ago you mentioned that you like the 255/85/16 tyre, but didn't like the options in Australia. I also remember you saying you might have an idea or something happening....any news on that size tyre? I really like the tall skinny tyre idea. Would be even better to have these Falkens in that size.
Thanks for the review Andrew Some queries... 1. Which of the two sets (wide vs narrow) performed best in the environment. 2. How would you compare the BFG with the Falken (excluding the price though over here it's not that bigger difference. FYI Falken tyres are available here in SA. though it seems to be more focused on the AT than the MT. cheers.
You should look into Mickey Thompson BAJA BOSS A/T in 255/85R17. I think you will like them. They are made by Cooper and it's the only tire available in that size.
👍. Thanks for the update & honesty. Much appreciated. Why wouldn’t u mention the other tyre brands that had flats on the run? It’s not as tho your giving them a bad wrap, they got a flat…. There could be a 100 reasons y.. as we all know what’s written on the box / label isn’t exactly what we pay for or even get…. & now that the prices of everything going up & becoming quite ridiculous. It’s good to know in this case the other brands & where they a mt or at tyre? One of the reasons I listen to advice from people like u. Who use their gear in the real world & not just from a table or armchair. Hope your next trip goes better then the last. Oh by the way. How did that issue with Toyota warranty go? Hope they covered it like they should!
I have respect for his point of view but it has very little to do with conditions here in New York State. It was - 10 farenheit /- 23.3 centigrade here this morning. We haven't had much snow here so far this winter but a few hundred miles away at the East end of the Grat Lakes the lake effect snow has set new records. I know from personal experience that I will always choose an AT over a MT for moderate Offroading and on road driving when ever snow and cold temperatures are a part of life for half the year. Most 4WD's do more snow plowing than Offroading in my area. Now a days I have two sets of wheels. Since I do almost no Offroading now, one set is shod with snow tires I purchased last year and the other with my old snow tires that I'm running for one maybe two more summers then it's Michelin Defender LTX LT Allseason tires for summers from their on out.
I used to have BFG AT:s on my Hummer H3 here in Finland. Now I have Falken MT:s. Comparison of the two: BFG:s have better steering feel, a LOT better. Falkens have almost no at all. But, on wet cold asphalt, Falkens, even as MT:s, have astronomically better grip than the BFG AT:s. Perhaps Falkens have softer rubber compound or something, but that just is so. My friend bought BFG AT:s, and after first fall rains, asked me what tyre pressures I use, as he almost crashed his Land Cruiser, felt like ice. I told him that "wellcome to the club"... In the winter, MT:s are almost useless, AT:s are not as good as real winter tyres, studded or not. Falken MT:s are not for novices in the winter, as the almost complete lack of steering feel makes them dangerous. AT:s also have better grip on any kind of snow. But off roading in Finnish forests with tree stumps everywhere, moss with mud and tree roots underneath, the Falkens are just brilliant. The biggest surprice was the noise level, new Falkens were just as noisy or silent as the BFG AT:s. And, here in Finland, the BFG:s are about a third or more more expensive. I would have bought Falken AT:s because I do not use special winter tyres in the winter, but just then they were not readily available. So, great off road, good grip on wet Finnish asphalt that is coarse because of studded winter tyres here (still better than the BFG AT:s), dangerously bad steering feel, great looks, three ply walls, better ride than the BFG:s, and when parked, they get worse "set" than usual, but it goes away when they warm up. Will buy again. Best tyres yet. I have 48 years of driving experience, my other vehicles now are Blazer -79 with lockers ( I made into a Hummer H1 lookalike), couple of Volvo V70:s for my son's family to use, a Taunus -82 (Cortina 5) with 5L V8 I swapped in to replace the 1.6, a VW kit car Bonito, couple of bikes, and a T 55 tank, 2-4 L/1 km ... :D
I fear you don't have enough ks/miles on them to give a long-term review. You've had numerous sets, diluting the distance on each set. So many tires do great for the first little while. It's after 15,000miles/24.000kms where the true value shows.
I wish they sold 255/85 R16 of this tyres in Australia…
So do I.
I use that size with the Toyo MT. I love it.
The perfect tyre size, have it in the toyo
And they do make that tire in that size

A very thoughtful, and well delivered review I choose to trust!
I’ve come to discover with extensive online searches and actual real-life conversations, this is a tire brand to purchase next.
I’ve been a loyal BFG guy for decades now.
(Dang! Decades…?)
However, this specific video of yours solidified my decision to make the change!
Andrew thank you for this report ! I have found it very helpful and informative !
I chose falken over bfg once I read about the large difference in wetweather performance
Maybe next time or in a few years I’ll get a used set as spares if I ever go on a big wheeling trip just to see if there’s a difference but I’m very happy with the falkens so far
And my first priority with the tyres was safety and I wanted an all terrain
Got mine last November (Jimny). Glad to watch your honest feedback!
Hi I have the Falken wildpeak 285/75 r16 and are one of the best tyres I have had on all my 4 wheel drives
10,000 km so far on our Hilux overlander in South Africa Andrew, purchased based on your advice/experience. Thanks Andrew (Lee a Patreon)
I've tossed them on almost every adventure vehicle I've owned since 2018. Love them.
My Falken AT3 tires have been great for me
I chose these over the BFG's, I've had them on my 100 series Landcruiser for 2 years now and I'm very happy with them, would consider getting a set of the AT's if needed.
Thank you, Andrew. When the time comes I will follow your advice for a trouble free tyre experience.
Love my 255 80 R17 falken AT3W. They have been great on the road, snow sand and rocks. Very popular tire in the US
Couldn't agree more with you Andrew. Been running these tyres in the Kimberleys for 5 years now on the 200 series, only tyre that can handle it. Blown away by their durability, lack of road noise, robustness, and like you it's the 1 thing I've stopped worrying about on every trip. There just perfect.
MTs or ATs?
Think they've done about 50,000km now and plenty to go
Love Falken tires . Very reliable and safe.
You crack me up, I put my heart medicine second, my heart has had an overhaul and pretty good.
I am on my second set of wildpeak AT3W I cannot recommend them enough for an all terrain. This set has 88K klms and still going strong. I am devastated that they do import an 18" Lt in the size I need for my new 4x4 that arrives next month.
Coincidentally, I just put the 2nd consecutive set of Falken Wildpeaks on my Jeep today. They’re fantastic tires.
UPDATE: I sold the Falken MT’s and switched to pizza-cutters: 235/80/17 Yohokohama X-AT
Pizza cutter 🤔
I have Falken Wildpeak MT on my Land rover in Arizona. I drive on a lot of rocky trails, and I have lost a lot of rubber chunks. I do like how quiet they are for a MT tire. They have gotten me through some "deep" mud with no problems. About a foot deep with rocks underneath. I just don't like the large chunks of tread missing.
I’ve got too many tires and not enough Jeeps! Testing the falken at3w right now but I have a set of newer ko2’s out in the shed. The wife’s Jeep has km1’s and a set of Yokohama geolandars.
How excellent your content is. 👏 Tires, at cinematic level!!!!
Interesting,
My tyres are 245/75r16 cooper st maxx's and my p38 hasn't had any issues with traction loss on wet roads (or anywhere else for that matter) but has some chunks out of it over the past few years of ownership including a good amount of Tassie mud/rocks.
As I understand it a softer compound reduces the wear life of the tyre but allows more effective grip.
Which given (as you mentioned) I, like others, look forward to the purchase of new tyres seems like a win win for me
The best MT tire with the thickest sidewall out of them all. All MT’s are the best for standing water on hard pack or paved roads. No hydroplaning!!
Great in the mud , no punctures and will get at least 60,000 out of them
Any balancing issues mate.
I've been happy with my Maxxis Razr MT's now for two years. I've ran them all through the California deserts. 🏜️
Where did he say he had a puncture?
good timing for me I don't care much about tyre brands but I think I'm sold on these but probably the A/T version
unless you have contacts the general public is not aware of you might have a difficult time finding the falken MT in south Afrika. But if you do would you be so kind and tell us where you did happen to find them?
thanks for the video, its always nice to watch your content.
i have only used wildpeak a/t tyres for the last 4-5years, i dont have a single complaint in in mud they are great, extremely quiet they seem to last for ever and i haven't had a single puncture or issue with them
I’m having endless balancing issues with my KO2s and the tyre shop has recommended I change to Falkens.
Thank you Andrew for the review.
Thank you for the review. I greatly appreciate you sharing.
Interesting. i would ask about the traditional BF. They say it is stronger but a direct comparison...?
Hi Ian, what about the toughness of the Wildtrack all terrain tyres? Thanks
Are you testing the 255/85 r16? I have them in bfg km2 and cannot be happier with them, won't use another size unless I can't get them. I know they're hard to get, but we must buy them in order to make them popular.
I don't think falken offer a 255/85R16
I am about to try the Yokohama G003 in that size
Best size there is, for the 70 series at least
@@pelzyy Im not sure if youre talking about the AT3s. But the MTs definitely come in 255 85 16 as i bought a pair recently. Performing great so far and not too loud!
@@jamiethomas8975 you learn something new everyday, I didn't realise that Jamie. Where are you based because I haven't been able to come across them in Australia
@@pelzyy I meant to add that I'm in USA. Not sure about Australia but those size MT are out there. Good luck!
Always thought you were a bfg man Glad to hear the falkens are a good tyre …. Thankyou for the info
Thanks for the review Andrew
Some queries...
1. Which of the two sets (wide vs narrow) performed best in the environment.
2. How would you compare the BFG with the Falken (excluding the price though over here it's not that bigger difference.
FYI
Falken tyres are available here in SA. though it seems to be more focused on the AT than the MT.
cheers.
In Europe we have the AT3 wa wildpeak, absolutely a magnificent Tyre for all circumstances
Couldn’t recommend the AT3W more been a great set of tyres, made in Japan quality
Can’t wait for you to test them on the Africa vehicle in Tankwa region !
I have the Falken MTs and never had a puncture and I go off road and off track a lot. I just wish they made the size I wanted, 285/75 r17
Tire Rack USA only sells the WildPeak M/T it in one size. LT285/70R17
Awesome review.Thanks for sharing
If you want a mud tyre to grip wet asphalt and be quiet. You need the maxxis razr mt
I fear you don't have enough ks/miles on them to give a long-term review. You've had numerous sets, diluting the distance on each set. So many tires do great for the first little while. It's after 15,000miles/24.000kms where the true value shows.
I still feel more confident with a second spare when on lengthy and or very remote areas.
Falken Wildpeak AT4W coming out with 255 85r16. Hopefully you will get them also.
I asked. We won't be getting them.
@@4xoverland Oh no! Hopefully if high demand things will change.
I really really would like to know the other brands of tyres that didn’t held up as well.
Can you do a review on the new bf Goodrich ko2 all terrain??
Hi mate just wondering what brand of jacket your wearing in Ur vid thanks
