Removing that old one was a nail biter for sure. I said “thread locker” before you, but kept my fingers crossed! 😂 Plastic - who’d a thunk? Then screwing around with that new one as well! Glad you got it in there and working correctly. Couple of things - I would have restarted very briefly to eyeball and make sure the new one sealed completely before putting the intake back on. Was the connector actually a weatherpak style? Couldn’t see on my phone. I would have applied lithium grease to ensure longer good electrical connection myself. Also would have used lithium grease on the push fit grommet, connection to the throttle body as well as hose. I use a lot of lithium grease, but everything is so much easier to take apart the next time! 😉🔧👍
Good job. Surprising how accessible it was. That doesn't seem to be the case most times.
@@sc047 accessibility was a major factor in why I decided to repair it myself. Thanks for watching Greg!
Glad you got it fixed. Hope you have a nice Christmas and Happy New Year!
@@MrGoosePit thank you!

@@Rein_Ciarfella thanks for the input. I can definitely go back and lithium grease things up!
It’s funny how they went from a v8 4.7 to a v6 3.6
@@stevenlengyel9701 I wouldn't have bought it if it had anything less than a 4.7. I would prefer the 5.7 but the price was right.
