Well, yes, and no...it's still not the 'apples and banana' type of anime. In fact, the focus is almost never below the waist on anyone. The show could have barbie nudity and be unchanged.

the conditions are that if alvin wins they change the channel's name and pic to Alvin culinary universe, if babish does then alvin has to make food wars noises while trying out a really bad dish
It would basically be Yukihira vs Mimasaka. Alvin tries to create new recipes that the poor, huddled masses can enjoy, and Andrew copies and improves other people's recipes.

Its not really surprising that food from food wars works out well. A chef by the name of Yuki Morisaki provides food wars with its recipes since chapter 5. She's also the author of the official food wars recipe book which features some 27 dishes that came out in the series.

it was changed because it became more than Babish, it's a group now and while he's the orchestrator the name change reflects that it's not just him.

I have to say, Food Wars has some of the most exotic food that doesn't come off as pretentious and genuinely sounds and looks delicious. Alvin does this series justice for certain.

How have I never watched Alvin before. The way he talks is fantastic.
I feel bad that Andrew couldn't eat this because of the banana! That being said, can the chutney be made without banana? Because otherwise it looks really amazing.
i'm more than positive it can! the banana really brings just a very small amount of sweetness to the chutney, but im sure it won't break the dish to not use it!

I honestly love what you're doing with the channel Andrew. The bringing in of so many creators brings just the right amount of variety without losing yourself. Very impressive! Love always!

Mr. Zhou's voice over is delightful, whimsical, and calming. The cooking and voice over seem sincere, which is lovely. This is a wonderful video.

This man is the refreshing breeze from babish I never knew I needed. Not that I needed one, but the change of pace makes me love the babish culinary universe that much more.
This looks amazing! Also, Alvin's voice is so soothing...I could literally listen him talking about filtering water, and be content.
That omurice technique is ingenious. Much simpler than the japanese chef's technique.
But it also doesn't achieve the same thing. It doesn't seal the filling inside completely, which is part of the charm of omurice.
The eggs have quite a few styles in omurice
French omelette style is not necessary 😂😂

I absolutely love this series, and Alvin has come into his own persona very quickly! Love it.
There's endless content just from Food Wars alone and I love it :) Nice to see the foods on there brought to life because sometimes they seem too over the top to be real (and maybe some are). Thank you for this series and thank you for making this dish!

Been watching the series Restaurant to Another World and while the foods there are simpler than in Food Wars (and most are traditional yōshoku) I think it'd be a great one to explore!

You can find recipes for this with measurements. Not all of them are the same. I dont mind that personally. I often combine recipes for the same dish anyways.

If you're finely dicing the mango..... Then what's the point in dirtying a separate bowl to make the flesh come out in one piece? 🤔
Isn't omurice supposed to have the omelette on top of the rice? And then you slice open the omelette and a custardy interior spills out over the rice? This omelette looked a lot firmer than what I've seen in other preparations.
Also, I'm used to seeing wine added to the arborio early in the cooking process and then reduced off before the stock is added. I suppose there's enough going on here that you wouldn't notice the difference.
