As a former C6 owner, here’s what I found worked really well: - Corsa catback. Sounds great, no drone, perfect fitment - Koni FSD shocks. Really good if you’re going for a daily driver setup. Rode and handled better than stock. DRM Bilsteins are good if you live in an area with smooth rodes, but I found them too soft - Radio with CarPlay. It looks like the car already has some kind of aftermarket radio, but I’m sure there are nicer ones available - Vitesse throttle controller. A weird one, but the C6’s electronic throttle response is so bad that it actually does wonders for the overall feel of the car - Morimoto headlights and taillights. These came out after I had my car, but they make the C6 look ten years newer. I prefer the C7-style front lights.
I daily drive a C6 GS and agree with all of this lol. I’m torn between those two exact shocks, decided against coilovers. I did the morimoto tails but kept the factory headlights upgraded to led. Bit about the throttle response is 100% spot on.
Great suggestions. My C6 LS3 car was tuned and had pretty sharp throttle response and I loved it. My C7 on the other hand was not as sharp and it made a big difference in drivability.
Wow, do I agree with you there! I bought a C6 with just 23k the year before the C7 came out. It had Borla's on it. Serious Drone! Had dealership pull 'em off at purchase. Bought C7 the next year. Kept C6. Then found a 2008 C6Z06 with just 6k miles, with Corsa. Terrific sound!!

One of the issues they had was the harness being too long and causing pinching, which is what happened to me. It felt like I was shoving a rats nest of wiring into the tail light mounting area when I first put them in, which was a major red flag/ So I for me, I got some clones on amazon for the fracture of the price, took them apart. Soooo looking forward to this series!
God loves C6s
I just turned 40 and I like chrome wheels now 😂
A nice short shifter is a nice upgrade.
Am I the only one that digs “THE OLD-MAN” spec???
Matt please also share the links to the shops where you will be buying replacement parts so that we can buy them as well! Thank you! Vlad
What happened to the car they did last time ? Did someone cool get it or a contest chaser ?
Hey, I'll tell you something 😎 cool about liking "old man spec" being 75 and alive ad in good health, ya I'll drive a car for you. You know how to get a hold of me. MAD RESPECT FROM EAST LONG BEACH 💯
Those wheels are nice if they weren't chrome. They're basically stock Work CR Kai's. The chrome would work if this had a drift style look to it like an RX7 on VSKF's
C6 the ❤
I like the "old man spec", honestly.
I missed you guys making videos in the format this feels like home
Mgw shifter! It’s so amazingly high quality
The LS3 is the one that is preferred.
That color is known as “OMR” Old Man Red. Everytime you see one that’s stock it’s always a boomer. No exceptions
My corvette is best corvette. RARE.
This video is what I like about tst. I have not like the past few video series because it felt like 40 year Olds acting like 20 year Olds. Matt and I are the same age and I like when he acts like who he is,a mature OG content creator.
Can’t wait to see what you guys do with it! Would totally enter, but Florida is not allowed.
Good luck with the project gents. You are in LA, had you not noticed that Hoonigan and Throtle did an ‘06 Z06 with 14k on the odometer…?
But those channels are way bigger than TST and can afford the loses on it. Matt and Zack can't
Bet that Harmonic Balancer got a wobble to it.
disappointed that NYers arent eligible for the sweepstakes. Good looking vette tho and will only look better soon
ZR1 fenders, procharger😮
Steering wheel, Coilovers, seats, and get rid of that glass top.better wheels and tires and you got something.
I'd be the guy to bring a video game to life and paint (via Clarity Coat) Webster's livery from NFS: Most Wanted. The M3 has already been done twice.
