All I know is that the F50 is Barry Treacys however this was filmed when it was still for sale at Dick Lovett so my best guess is both the F50 and F40 is from Dick Lovett
Davvy Jannes you’d think it would be a good selling method however Barry (the current owner) has actually paid for a deposit for the F50 before this was filmed and the dealer mentioned nothing of this filming, the battery cover was also missing as well as I believe the soft top or the hard top either or so it’s a bit shady on the dealers part especially with the price that was paid

I agree. Why buy a car and then not drive and enjoy it? I once bought a Fiat500 (the original) and I got the more powerful version with 850ccm. That same day my friend got a 750ccm, and we took them to the track (a forest macadam road), and just had fun. Both cars were totaled and completely dead after a few hours. But we had a great time. If I had only put it in a garage and not driven it at all. I could have doubled or even tripled my investment if I sold it today. I paid around 150 euros back then, hmmm... With some tough negotiations, I might have sold it for up to 700 euros for it today. You live and you learn. ;) :) ;)

There may be die-hard car enthusiasts out there but no one... I mean NO ONE is better than the legend who owns these cars and allowed Chris to make this video driving them the way he has. An absolute legend!
Man that's how car reviews should be like.. No fancy camera angles, no fancy editing.. Just pure emotion... Chris harria u should be on TOP Gear mate :D
No fancy camera angles? uhh what. They have full on cranes and drone rigs flying the camera around. The production of this is the furthest from simple.
No doubt, these cars are legends, but I'm totally not into Chris Harria. Pretty obvious here, that most of the Americans, including Chris Harria, still have a lack of experience into the full amount of engine varieties, since they mostly deny anything smaller than R6 or V6 and are not that much into turbo engines. He was even curious about the manual transmission which is most likely standard in most non-american countrys. I would say his overall experience isn't high enough for "Top Gear".
As a teenager when the f40 appeared I was obsessed. I said to myself I would have one one day. Now 51 with 4 kids I drive a vw touran. Feel like I’m nearly there. Just got to believe.
Definitely the XJ220. It even handled better than the Mclaren F1 road cars and it held the lap record at the Ring for many years. 7 minutes 46 seconds may not seem as quick today, but the track was a bit longer then and not as quick as it is today.
I have a soft spot for the F50 because it has a streamlined look to it and is so timeless looking. The Dodge Viper and Mazda RX-7 are other 90's cars that don't look that dated at all.
I love the F50 so much! As a Ferrari fan I love the F40 too, but I've always loved the F50 more. The F50 is just absolutely perfect imo...the beautiful lines, the awesome performance, the breathtaking V12 sound, it's simply a masterpiece. Yes, the F40 is undoubtedly great in every way, but ever since I first saw the F50 in Need for Speed as a kid I've always loved it. The F50 was, is and always will be one of my most favorite Ferraris of all-time.
+hexagon523 So glad someone finally said it! The F50 is a brilliant car and just looks, sounds and is amazing! First time I saw one in real life it was next to an F40 and that just didn't have the same kind of presence as the F40. However I still love the F40 as any car guy would!
One of the greatest pieces of motoring footage and raw emotional journalism of all time. Thank you Chris Harris for this immersive experience with you on board two absolute all time classic Ferrari's!
@@4zap7 He designed the engine, the chassis, the integrated rollbar the aerodynamics, the package options, the gearbox. Materazzi is not a designer is a legend, a man that put his genius in the Stratos, GTO, EB110 and Edonis without mentioning its contribution to the F1 Turbo advancement. Really it's not a common designer that "gives a guideline".
The F50 was the very first supercar I ever sat in. I was about 14 years old, around 1996 I guess. One was being sold at a Range Rover dealership. I sat in that thing, my ass literally felt like I was on the ground. I fell in love immediately, but was shocked how someone could drive sitting that low. To this day it is 1 of my all time favorite cars and one of the best looking IMO. I'm so glad Chris did this review to show how much of a masterpiece it really is. Unfortunately it's predecessor, the F40, is just the greatest car of all time. You can't knock the F50 for that. Idk one car in the 90's that was remotely close to it, except maybe the Jag XJ220, oh and the McLaren F1. But still to this day in 2019, no car is considered "better" than that F40. What an awesome video.
In mid 90’s I saw an F40 on the dyno. It put 390hp to the wheels. They raised the boost a little and it put down 420. Because of this awesome Drive vid I dug up my VHS and posted the dyno run.
Aiden Berliner I did upload/post it. Folks have asked me questions about it as well (in the comments) It’s brought back a lot of great memories. I am really glad I dug it up.
I bet future will reserve a special place for F12 Berlinetta, the same way those Ferrari's in this video! Berlinetta is a masterpiece and it can be a truly sport car without turbo or a supercharger.
Definitely wait and see! If he is allowed to do his thing, Top Gear can be really good again. Albeit different. Clarkson and crew made one of my favorite TV shows ever, so it's big shoes to fill.
+Hammerhaus Kennel Lets not forget that the original crew is filming their own new show with Amazon Video. Some big shoes will have to be filled to replace Clarkson
at least once every 6 months I come back to this and re-watch it! the stuff dreams are made of... I was lucky to meet Chris last year (2024) here in Sydney and I personally thanked him for this content. just amazing
no matter how many times I'm gonna watch this video, I'll be blowing away from everything in it. the words, the honest journalism, the ability to transfer that experience to me as a viewer and obviously the footage is just phenomenal. I admire your work and just keep it going
U will never see Mister Chris Harris that "Happy and Excited" (like an 8 year old child) in any of his other videos (even the holy trinity one) ... and that my friends says it all !!! What a review !!!
In 1996 I was driving my Eclipse turbo close to 100 MPH on the Interstate in Chicago. I looked back and saw a red car approaching at a ridiculous rate of speed. I could tell it was an F40. He left me in the dust within 10 seconds. I was jealous. Too bad I'll never have enough money to own one because that is one of the coolest cars ever.
I had a similar experience last year myself. But I was going 80mph in my wrangler in Kentucky and I see a car in the rear view absolutely FLYING so I change lanes. It was a Red Ferrari F9 Tributo and that car is stunning in person
The F40 is simply stunning. The best car we'll ever see in our lifetimes. A magnificent Ferrari V8 with no weight, no electric nonsense and a PROPER manual gearbox.
But that turbo... I love that car but it has the wrong engine. I'd love to see a remastered version with a bigger engine but a titanium block V12 to keep the weight down. Either that or some future solution incorporating some of the Mclaren torque fill technology. Electric motor and lightweight batteries filling in the turbo lag. It's a legenedary car but it does suffer some well documented shortcomings that could be solved by modern technology. F40 remastered pls. All my opinions are not first hand - I formed them from reading and other videos. I don't stand myself up as an expert. These are just my opinions. Luv and peace.
***** Nothing that you said is wrong, I wouldnt personally switch the V8 for a V12, it would unavoidably reduce the power to weight ratio on a car thats whole existence and character is based on the fact it weighs little more than a tonne. The twin turbo F120A engine is in my opinion an engineering milestone that belongs in a contemporary museum, 500BHP from 3 litres was and still is phenomenal. Ferraris finest moment outside motorsport. The torque fill that Mercedes and Renault pioneered for F1 and now in the P1 and 918 is fantastic technology but its like comparing a digital watch to an exquisite hand crafted analogue piece. The digital watch keeps time better and it has more modes and features but you cant fall in love with it like a mechanical watch with the clicks and the gears, its difficult to quantify. For a nurburgring time a modern car would be faster, but for the sheer pleasure of driving, thd sensation through the steering wheel, that mechanical relationship between man and machine, the RWD, the gated manual gearbox, I'd take the F40 every day :)
the irony is of course is that that pretty much sums up the Corvettes, and you won't catch anybody praising a Corvette like that. Obviously the F40 is in a different league, but still, it seems that light vehicles, with powerful V8s, and a manual gearbox is a winning combination.
Wow still as good as when it was first uploaded Chris Harris probably the BEST and most exciting driver to watch on TH-cam I'd pay absolute top dollar just to be a passenger in these two cars. CHRIS HARRIS you sir are a living legend, Thank you for giving us viewers so much to enjoy. After 11 years it just gets and better. Thanks mate
The 288 GTO is still my all time favorite car / Ferrari of all, but this video certain made me gain even more respect for the F40 / F50 as well. There simply aren't enough words to describe what these cars do to a man who grew up in the 80's and the dreams I've had about ever owning one. It must be pure heaven to actually own / drive them.
I'm with you mate, GTO is now and has been for quite awhile, my favourite car / Ferrari of all time. But it wasn't always that way. When I was a 12 year old kid when the F40 dropped I was absolutely blown away. It was just such pure race car, which to me was such pure Ferrari, because to me Ferrari was racing. The fact that the F40 was available to drive on the road was just outrageous! I started to turn on to the GTO in the late nineties, and the deal was really sealed with that amazing EVO article with the big four in'04 ish. But you know, as much as I love the GTO I also still love the F40. There's a purity and a brutality to it, kind of driving condensed to it's pure essentials, that I find so appealing. But then there's the raw beauty of the GTO that is just so beguiling! In essence I'm torn between the two. But I've decided that the GTO and the F40 are two facets of the same car, I now think of them as Jeckyl and Hyde elements of the same perfect Ferrari. One classy and beautiful, yet still potent and capable, the other hard, raw, unforgiving. I no longer feel need to choose between them, they're heads and tails, GTO and F40, of the same automotive coin
@@vanduc996 Well said Sir! Main reason for the GTO for me though is the looks. Since Magnum P.I. aired and the 308 body style grabbed my Soul for life, the 288 GTO is simply the best looking car man has ever made (to me). So since the performance isn't really relevant between the two for me (my modern cars will certain outperform), it's solely about looks and a bit about "in time period" performance. Both are amazing and I'd love to drive / own an F40 as well for a close 2nd place.
I completely agree with you about the looks of the GTO. So beautiful it literally makes me ache with desire if i look at one for any length of time. It’s got the perfect blend of Italian grace and beauty with Italian hot rod machismo
This is AMAZING ! I have goose bumps! The F50 sounds better but that's the only thing it's beating the F40 by... If I could ever pick ONE super/legendary car for the rest of my life it would be the F40! This is from an era where you actually needed to KNOW how to drive to protect your LIFE. Superb review of two EPIC cars that money hardly can buy anymore!
For me there is only one road car I put above the he F40. The Mclaren F1 In either standard form or the GOAT.... The LM roadcars. Check out Tiff Needel review of both. The LM is the F40 greatness ramped up to ultimate level. Those two are to me the best ever supercars ever.
+UsernameThomaSS alright, i thought i was the only one. It sounded exactly like the video game...err, the video game sounded exactly like it, absolutely love that sound!
Watching this in 2024, for the first time. I have no words. This is the best video on the whole internet, driving the cars as they should be driven and not letting it sit in a warehouse somewhere. Whoever lent Chris these cars, we all thank you from our hearts !!!!!!
If someone ever asked me, What's so nice about driving an expensive loud car? Well.. I'd show them this video... This absolutely brings tears to me. Such a beautiful review.
This video encapsulates every single reason I love cars like nothing else can. Years later I still come back from time to time and it never disappoints
Ethaniel The Great You know what back I the day I didn’t appreciate the F50. I’ll be honest until this video and a bit of research.... I’m blown away by how beautiful the F50 is. Especially seeing being driven hard, It’s aged so well it looks incredible and that sound! It might actually be my favourite car now, found one for sale at only £2.2m 🤔
I have to be honest. I want an f40 now. Screw the f430 and the 458. I love everything about these 90's cars. All the technology in the newer cars totally ruins them. I don't think I will ever own a modern sports car again. It's all about mechanical grip, its all about mechanical gear changing and its all about the mechanical turbo's. And that interior! Nothing but everything it should have. Great seats, great steering wheel nothing but important gauges. No drivers aids!! I've been wasting my time searching for a perfect sports car when all I needed to do was to look backwards in time. Also, Tuner cars the ultimate evil for all sports cars because they stand for everything that ruins legitimate super-cars.
Fuck tuner cars, I agree with you, I also agree that both the f40 and f50 are AMAZING cars, followed by Enzo that was an extraordinary aswell, I don't like the later Ferraris, but, there are two Ferraris that are amazing, 599GTO and F12 Berlinetta, both different cars than f40, that's true, less agile, heavier, but F12 has the ultimate V12 Aspirated engine, the ultimate (more skeptical and extraordinary) aerodynamics and gear changes that are practical zero. It's a shame to spit on all that science in the name of pleasure, F40 is an amazing car, but compared with the 250 GTO is exactly what is 458 is to F40. Most Ferraris are amazing cars, actually there are dozens of magnificent cars that you can drive or collect, it's a shame to be stuck in just one model of one brand.
Nik papado lol, I don't spend enough time at a track to know that! But where I live its all a blend of japanese sports cars and stanced japanese sports cars. Its impossible to tell them apart, but it also gets to a point when it becomes kinda stupid imo. I start seeing people who had cars setup to drive suddenly change over to just making it "fashionable." I honestly could never understand anything about what tuner guys do. It never makes any sense to me at all.
The F40 is truly one of the greatest of all times, but, in my opinion, NOTHING will ever be as exciting as an F50. Great handling, wild, sexy looks, faster (slightly, but FASTER, and not slower, as Chris says) than the F40 and NORMALLY ASPIRATED V-freaking-12! It sounds just like heaven!
I get goose bumps every time I watch this video!!! I still remember buying the “Quattroruote” magazine when the F40 first came out! I read the article and admired the pictures a million times! Thank you Chris for this wonderful video, and thanks to whom allowed you to drive these cars at their max potential!!!!! As an Italian, the F40 is one of the two dream cars of all times!!! The other one is Lancia Delta Integrale 16V.
Ooh yes, that's the ultimate two car garage, torque monsters, cars that you just want to toss deep sideways into a corner. Perfectly captures the late 80s era.
this is the best car review video of all times. passion, excitement, history. just legend cars forever. and Chris is still the child we always wanted to be in the best day of his life
Today, I had a great moment in my life! I was able to be next to a F40, F50 and F60 Enzo all at the same time parked together! Was a dream come true!! They are more than just cars!! They look like magic. :)
GRACIAS.-
Thank you so much for this one. I have never seen these two amazing machines driven in this manner I can not even imagine how breath taking and amazing that was but your screams of sheer joy let me at least have a glimpse of it...
f50 was and still my fav, the design of that machine is not great, is almost a legend, if u let me choose I stick to a convertible f50, but deep inside I would be envy of the f40 engine torque.
If I had the money these 2 cars would be in my garage hands down. In my opinion this is the best automotive video ever made. I have probably watched this video 20 times. I could just about recite it and yet i still love watching it.
My cousin knows this guy in his town who has a Toyota mr2, he went on holiday, for a few weeks, and left the mr2 on his driveway! When he came back he had a f40 cos his buddies thiught it woukd be funny to modify his mr2 to look like a kitcar f40 needless to say, they must have been drinking alot while doing it, they did a tragic job. But the mr2 owner must have a good sense of humour, as he still drives it around to this day, I've seen him in it a few times haha.
I love both of them, but my heart truly always will be with the F-40! However, my all time favorite car is the F-50 GT.. I just love both so much, great vid
Ask yourself this question: How many human beings have had the benefit of driving a Ferrari F40 and a Ferrari F50. On the same day. Full throttle. Sideways?
Tomasz Rzeznik I agree half. i wouldnt mind having all three. but your right, those are the hotter ones, without unnessecary gismos, but that Enzo is somethign special.
I revisit this video on occasion. In my opinion one of the greatest "reviews" ever made regarding an automobile. most of us will never get the chance to see one of these works of art in person much less have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of one. 10 years later still living vicariously via Mr. Harris.
DJMARStech Sorry but despite 959 being a technical master piece it lacked the desirability of F40. That is why most still talk about F40 being the best. Porsche are great at tech. Porsche cars are respected for their abilities and advance technology. But they are not loved by people in the same way as Ferrari.
there a f40 for a rent i thoght there worth like almost a million dollar who rents it the best i can find on website are like avantador f458 gallardo r8 this kind of stuff cant even find f12 yet
Porsche did that with the Cayman gt4, they made a great handling and driving car in limited numbers, the problem was that the 'collectors' paid waaaay over retail and refuse to drive them as the extra mileage would drive down the price/value, afaik many are being used as 'investments' and locked up in storage never to be driven. ;(
@@MetoFulcurm even so, who's fault is that? Cant blame the company for the way most people are just using them as an investment. They may not even be car people, just see them as a opportunity. The people online bashing owners who don't drive their exotics have never owned one, and would probably change their tune if they did. Even Gordon murray (designed McLaren f1) sold his f1 because as he said values are so ridiculously high. He didn't want to risk crashing one so much so that he wasn't driving it. At least he drives everything he owns, but that just shows how driving around in something that should be in a museum can make anyone reluctant.
I've watched this video many times. Both the F40 and F50 are legendary cars in their own right. The F40 may be considered one of the greatest cars ever made but that doesn't mean the F50 is rubbish by comparison. The F40 does seem more fun to drive on a circuit and more balanced and that's why it's easier to like than the F50. I have loved the F50 since I played my first racing game, Need For Speed 2 but I love the F40 too.
One of the best car vids ever made. 8yr later I know this as a fact.. this vid genuinely is one of the best car vids in recorded history. Its probably the best.
The F40 has always been one of my favorite cars and this video definitely reinforces how I feel about it. The F50 is definitely a great car in its own way (that engine sounds incredible), but the F40 is just more raw and pure. What a great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

FrenchFruits at least not as fancy as Top gear
vedang patil Yes that's true.
Unstoppable094
Chris Harris isn't American
This is what driving is all about: man & machine, gear lever & clutch pedal, no driver aids.
For the F50, it's the backside that really gets me. I love the taillights and the spoiler and everything!
i love that car..its the underdog, but its just as mythical, maybe more so
@@oldben1800 It's crazy to think that car is the underdog, when it outclasses its predecessor in every manner
As a teenager when the f40 appeared I was obsessed. I said to myself I would have one one day. Now 51 with 4 kids I drive a vw touran. Feel like I’m nearly there. Just got to believe.
Just get a Miata
Not far to go 👌
Quite possibly the greatest automotive video ever produced.
It sure gets my spine tingling. Amazing day, amazing emotinos, amazing cars, thanks for sharing this Chris
Amen!!!!
Lmao
You haven't watched a lot of videos tbh
I’m still giving that to 7 minute 240 got video.
6 years later and this is arguably still the greatest car video on TH-cam ever. Imo anyways.
Lmao
You haven't watched a lot of car videos then
I still think the Ferrari F50 is the most underrated car of all time
XJ220 as well
The f50 has weird styling.
Definitely the XJ220. It even handled better than the Mclaren F1 road cars and it held the lap record at the Ring for many years. 7 minutes 46 seconds may not seem as quick today, but the track was a bit longer then and not as quick as it is today.
John Staudt 1230kg is heavy? LaFerrari is 1350kg!
not heavy at all.
And here it is, 2019. . . The 1989 Ferrari F40 is still "The Car" !!! :-)
Ferrari fucking killed it with that car!!
2020 :)
@@miljanivanko2312 and beyond
@@Mpayne1472 Time is still ticking... :)
I have a soft spot for the F50 because it has a streamlined look to it and is so timeless looking. The Dodge Viper and Mazda RX-7 are other 90's cars that don't look that dated at all.
The sound of that f50 is just magnificent. It makes you giddy like I child.
This was probably the most legendary of Chris’ videos. Still remember it to this day.
GT3 RS is also nice kid
Pretty easy to remember it when the video is right there…
I love the F50 so much! The F50 was, is and always will be one of my most favorite Ferraris of all-time.
my favorite Ferrari is the Ferrari 458 Italia & speciale & F50 &550 marinelo & F40
+hexagon523 True that. Those F40 fanboys need to back down. The F50 is made out of F1 technology so it had to be a bette r car than the F40.
+hexagon523 the F40 is the best
+hexagon523 So glad someone finally said it! The F50 is a brilliant car and just looks, sounds and is amazing! First time I saw one in real life it was next to an F40 and that just didn't have the same kind of presence as the F40. However I still love the F40 as any car guy would!
+hexagon523 I been saying this like forever!!! Since a kid, F50 was and still is my favorite Ferrari, much respect to the F40 though..
One of the greatest pieces of motoring footage and raw emotional journalism of all time. Thank you Chris Harris for this immersive experience with you on board two absolute all time classic Ferrari's!
F40 has been made all by a single engineer Materazzi. On youtube there is materazzi interview about the creation of the F40
That's a cute story and all..but anyone familiar with the engineering and manufacturing process knows that's not how it all really went down..
Sho Nuff I suppose you are familiar with the design and manufacturing process of Ferrari
What an awesome video.
the XJ220 was legendary in its own right. Props for that honorable mention that many sleep on
In mid 90’s I saw an F40 on the dyno.
I just became your 100th subscriber 🙌🏻😁
Deni Pallas Thx!!

@Mcryd I eventually did post it up on my TH-cam channel. The car was owned by John Carmack at the time (creator of Castle Wolfenstein and Doom etc).
One of my all time favourite car reviews. Watched this countless times…no words really. The sound of the F50 is sublime…
So wish I remortgaged my house and bought a used F40 in the late 90's. At one point they were going for £120,000. Now they are worth about £750,000.
Jesus. Who would have ever thought a car could ever be such an appreciating asset back then and really, even now.
I bet future will reserve a special place for F12 Berlinetta, the same way those Ferrari's in this video! Berlinetta is a masterpiece and it can be a truly sport car without turbo or a supercharger.
McLaren F1's went for about 1mill then and now they go for over 10 million dollars.
F1's are going for 10+ times what the where new.
A few years ago you could get some 3 series Ferrari's fairly cheap, not anymore. I have a pile of "I wish I would have...."
This phenomenal video is THE example of how Chris Harris will be the one who saves Top Gear.
Yeah, I CAN'T WAIT for that!!!! I haven't heard anything about it for quite a while now though...
As of 3days ago they are currently filming and talking trash about their replacements back in europe lol
It's called "The Grand Tour" show
Even after the 100th time watching this, I still love it. Legendary cars. Chris is a great presenter too.
at least once every 6 months I come back to this and re-watch it! the stuff dreams are made of...
"I need one of these... and it's beautiful and it's fast and it's a challenge and it's got a STICK ! and I'm IN LOVE !!!"

U will never see Mister Chris Harris that "Happy and Excited" (like an 8 year old child) in any of his other videos (even the holy trinity one) ... and that my friends says it all !!! What a review !!!
U r disliking him for being 'too enthusiastic' ??
I dunno, he was pretty dumbfounded in the P1 review.
Melomaniac RDV and it costed him a subscription.
Who's surprised that this car feels that good, no one, that's why we all went/still go nuts over them.
Hi
F40 throwing her tail in every corner. love it
And losing time with every slide....
jonnifjader so what? It’s fun!
3 years on, still one of the best car videos ever!
Nuno Bandeira lol 2019
30 years on and still the best car out there.
what are the other videos that are as good as this one? I couldn't find any better than this video.
The later year models of the F40 DID switch from the twin turbo V8 to a V12. So yea, you don't have to even do a swap if you find the correct year.
What are you talking about, F40's never had V12's
288 GTO, F430, 588, and 330 P4 are also my favourite cars, Interceptor2500. 👍
Superb review of two EPIC cars that money hardly can buy anymore!
both of them are quite dangerous to drive if you don't know what you're doing
F40 is THE supercar !!!
For me there is only one road car I put above the he F40. The Mclaren F1 In either standard form or the GOAT.... The LM roadcars. Check out Tiff Needel review of both. The LM is the F40 greatness ramped up to ultimate level.
Those two are to me the best ever supercars ever.
lol No.
Ferrari 288gto is better
Wow. NFS II was spot on on the noise of the F50
+UsernameThomaSS alright, i thought i was the only one. It sounded exactly like the video game...err, the video game sounded exactly like it, absolutely love that sound!
+UsernameThomaSS Oh god that game was heaven.
That was my exact thought!! Video brought back amazing memories. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for a 3dfx card for that game.
There's a big difference between Nfs II & Nfs hot pursuit II
Watching this in 2024, for the first time. I have no words. This is the best video on the whole internet, driving the cars as they should be driven and not letting it sit in a warehouse somewhere. Whoever lent Chris these cars, we all thank you from our hearts !!!!!!
Never seen anybody so positive about the f50, such a refreshing perspective. The world is so much the better for Chris Harris.
I knew the man who had a F40 in Brazil. Not by coincidence, he was Italian descending. 1993 was the year. Great video! Fantastic!
If someone ever asked me, What's so nice about driving an expensive loud car? Well.. I'd show them this video... This absolutely brings tears to me. Such a beautiful review.
Excellent video 10 years later. With all the hypercars today I'll take the F40 all day, every day. Chris, you are a legend!

You know what back I the day I didn’t appreciate the F50.
Tuners show why supercars are supercars.
Salpeteroxid Tuner cars are either blown up within the year or blow up within the year. ;)
I watch this every few months. It's one the great video reviews of two very special cars.

Tomasz Rzeznik I agree half. i wouldnt mind having all three. but your right, those are the hotter ones, without unnessecary gismos, but that Enzo is somethign special.
This still stands out as one of the greatest petrol head vids ever made, congrats once again Chris & the production team
I revisit this video on occasion. In my opinion one of the greatest "reviews" ever made regarding an automobile. most of us will never get the chance to see one of these works of art in person much less have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of one. 10 years later still living vicariously via Mr. Harris.
even to todays SUPERCARS... the F40 is.... a MASTERPIECE...
... what about ... porsche 959
DJMARStech
Sorry but despite 959 being a technical master piece it lacked the desirability of F40. That is why most still talk about F40 being the best. Porsche are great at tech. Porsche cars are respected for their abilities and advance technology. But they are not loved by people in the same way as Ferrari.
True piece of history!
The new Lamborghini Sesto elemento comes close if not equal. IMO
DJMARStech The porsche 959 is an amazing car. Maybe you heard of that it was actually ment for rally in the 80s?
I rented a F40 while I was on vacations in Miami , this car is amazing
What's an F140?
RacelineMatt enzo?
RacelineMatt Sorry it was a mistake.
RacelineMatt That's seriously the question you picked to ask? You didn't think to ask where the fuck you could rent an F40?
there a f40 for a rent i thoght there worth like almost a million dollar who rents it the best i can find on website are like avantador f458 gallardo r8 this kind of stuff cant even find f12 yet
"it was made for driving. and nothing else matters"
some brands these days should think about this
Not a chance I'm afraid
Porsche did that with the Cayman gt4, they made a great handling and driving car in limited numbers, the problem was that the 'collectors' paid waaaay over retail and refuse to drive them as the extra mileage would drive down the price/value, afaik many are being used as 'investments' and locked up in storage never to be driven. ;(
Noble
lotus, and also all the 'real' track focussed road legal cars (caterham, ariel, radical etc.)
Not a new video but certainly a classic for sure. Love living vicariously through this video as it is a bucket list moment for many of us car lovers!

Ferrari F40. Best super car ever made in my opinion.
Over 20 years on & still making people spunk their underpants with excitement.
Too right, best super car of ALL TIME
F40 is still my ultimate dream car. Hasnt changed in 20 years of wanting one. Dont think it will.
***** Cars will be flying and teleportation will be mainstream before the magic of the F40 fades...
The F40 has always been one of my favorite cars and this video definitely reinforces how I feel about it. The F50 is definitely a great car in its own way (that engine sounds incredible), but the F40 is just more raw and pure.
What a great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It’s all in his reaction. Nothing but visceral joy driving the F40.
The F40 just looks to straight edged and plain, where the F50 looks like art. But both are legends.
The F50 is just better
F40 is just more than a car ....
F40 might be a perfect car. No matter what comes out and how fast it is I always wish I had an F40.
I love the raw passion and excitement about these machines from CH - spine-tingling. Best motoring journalist of our times without doubt!
