Look at you! Filament sponsors AND video sponsors! Proud of you! Also, I'm obligated to say... "I've been watching this channel since before she was famous" :)
Oh my goodness!! I’m so incredibly happy for youuu!! As always, love your content! I love your upbeat attitude and just always enjoying what you do! Also super happy Overture listened!! The filaments look great! Awesome job Macy, congratulations!! 🎉
Congratulations on your space. It looks huge, but I'm sure you'll fill it in no time. You can never have enough space. Thanks for your bubbly personality. It makes the videos very enjoyable.
Oh my gosh congrats - both for the support from Overture and the new space!! I don't have a 3D printer but I just love watching your videos while I work, it's interesting and relaxing! Can't wait to (hopefully) see all the updates with your new space!
Macy I love your energy and excitement that you share. Makes me smile. I can ask in your Discord channel because of being a Patreon member and I recommend others to support you that way. With that said, it would be helpful for me when you say things like change the flow rate from 1.2 to 1, or less than 1; or when you say slow it down for the rock pla to help with overhangs. A screen print of the setting so people know what to change instead of guessing what you are changing would be helpful for me. Just something to think about and a small request. Keep up the good work and enjoy your continued growth.
im so glad they finally sent you some filaments!!! i have an overture contact and i was telling them how much you love their filament. she listened!! hahahha
I use Vision Miner NanoPolymer Bed Adhesive on my build plates. Perfect adhesion and easy release. It isn’t cheap, but a little bit goes a long way, one application is good for dozens of prints. Doesn’t leave any residue on your project.
One note: if you print a Benchy in flexible filament, you should squish it in your hand in the video at some point. That articulated goose reminds me of a high school friend's favorite T-shirt. It had a cartoon that looked a lot like that model, and the caption "Fupped Duck".
for overhangs, i just check the "make overhangs printable" option. It does change the angle a bit, but for models like the planter and the watering can, that doesn't matter.
Every time, and I mean EVERY time, I see a video w/ 'big announcement' or 'surprise at the end', I think someone is having a baby. And then you got near the end and I was like.....MACY IS HAVING A BABY!!! And then....you're not having a baby. LOL Not as amazing as a baby, but can't wait to hear more about your new shop space! A big (but not as big as if it were a baby) congratulations! 🤣 I didn't realize Overature had so many Rock PLAs.....they must be newer. I've used their 'fossil' and I think 'sedimentary' and they worked great for articulated ferrets.
Macy, thanks for these great videos. I watch them all the time and get inspired to print cool things that you find (and that you have the artistic eye to print in cool colors). My print farm is 2 deep (X1C and P1S... and almost ready to buy another P1S). A point of improvement: Your video refers to setting your bed temperature to 65C. I would assume, with the large variety of filaments available, that most of your viewers do not normally print in Overature and especially don't use the particular color you were using. It is good that you mention 65C for this particular filament, but it would have been more educational to also let me know that you had increased the temperature by 1C or 5C or 10C (teaching the newb what increment you use when having adhesion problems is more educational than a specific temperature for a specific filament). Other errors that some TH-camrs make that hopefully you will avoid... 1) Don't refer to previous videos by "Last Month" or "Last Week". If I stumble into the video, randomly offered to my by TH-cam and it is a year or more old, it is difficult for me to find it. 2) Don't reference things happening as the video releases that will not apply in the future without stating specific dates... for example, I am watching an old video that TH-cam offered up and the TH-camr mentions a sale or some time-sensitive offer but never says the date, so I have to go find the date of the video. What would be better is "This is on sale as of January 21st, 2025". You want your videos to be enduring, even when they are years old.
Are you using Bambu studio to slice with? I’m using it and for me it likes to crash about 80% of the time whenever I slice anything. The bigger the print the more likely, the chance of it crashing
@ I have found a painful work around. I have to go into the program itself every time I launch it and manually and tell it to only run on 4 of my CPU cores. Apparently bambu studio doesn’t like my CPU and it’s 24-Core and 8P+16E P-core Cpu. It’s a Bummer but it dose work
I have been working in Onshape and mainly made things for Cnc milling. I am curious about the honeycomb structure which is in many of the models instead if making it solid and wasting filament. Is the honeycomb structure a feature in many 3d programs or do you have to make it manually each time?
The pattern inside the model is called "infill" and it is automatically added by the slicer program. The density of the infill can be anywhere from 0% to 100%, though most models collapse at 0%. I also use OnShape, but for functional parts mostly.
Hey Macy! Any clue why I cannot change the quality of the video? I get it in 360p :( had that before, thought it was a one time quirk...) Even in 360p you STILL ROCK ! LOL Thanks for the video. Greetings from The Netherlands
HI Macy, Great content as always. just want to understand what settings you use for Overture filaments in the P1s as I'm struggling with quality and warping using generic profiles. Any advice would be great as your designs always seem to come out amazing for quality finish.
@@macymakes3d Thanks, ill give it a go. i'm quite new to 3d printing and still learning, so not looked at flow rate which you mentioned a few times in the vid. Thanks again. I am a patreon member but under a different email so look forward to more of your amazing builds.
Genuine question, how are you able to make videos about models that have a standard digital license? Don’t the terms prevent you from making videos with them in it?
I’m sure videos are fine (it’s free advertising for them after all!) the licenses are more about preventing you from selling them or sharing the model files
@ I mainly ask for myself cause I too make 3D printing related content on a different channel but am new. The licensing states “The objects may not be used without permission in any way whatsoever in which you charge money, or collect fees.” I figured that would apply to monetized videos too? But I’m no lawyer, just curious.

Whoo Hoo 🎉🎉 Can’t wait to see how you set up your new space.. congratulations 🎈🎉🎊
I made it all the way to the end without skipping ahead for the surprise! Congrats! Your channel is growing up so fast!

Congrats on both the space AND Overture sending you some filaments (we all know how much you love them).

Thanks for featuring my lockers, glad you liked them!
Congrats on new space, it's amazing to see you growing. New adventures incoming :)
Amazing to see the new space, I'm sure you'll love it. Congrats 👍
Congrats on the new space! That’s awesome!
I absolutely love watching your videos! Great stuff 🫶🏼
I've always had awesome experiences with Overture. Awesome content! Thanks for sharing!
Would love to see you do a video on printing with PETG and everything that entails.
Your new space looks like it will be amazing. I enjoy your videos. They always make me smile
Congrats Macy! Great video!
Great spoiler

Congrats on the new space! I look forward to seeing it transform.
Whoa! Gratz on growing the biz Macy! That's pretty awesome.
Congrats Macy! Can’t wait to see your space all set up!

Wow thats awesome! Congratulations!
oh my gosh congrats on the surprise!! :D
Congrats on growing bigger and getting a space.
I want that New Rock PLA, Overture needs to drop it already!!!!
Most of those colours go together really nicely
Wow. Congratulations on the new space xxx
The wine red and gold are solid for hueforge, so happy to see those from them
They printed great! Definitely 2 colors they needed to add in
Congrats on the space. Grow slow and steady.
Change the retraction length of the TPU filament to 2mm and it'll fix the stringing
Super news! Looking forward to your next adventures. xo
Very cool video ... I really enjoyed it
So happy for you ❤
Macy, if you haven't already setting top layer speed to 50mm/s helps with PETG

Huh I always have the exact opposite issue with overture pla. It sticks so well it peels off the bottom layer and supports have to be razored off

ipad stand has a designing defect which is no mobility, it hard to put it into your backpacks or it's space consuming.
That planter would look wicked with black inside and the orange for the web design
Yeah it would! Sadly it prints as one piece so that would require SO many color changes haha
Dangit, Macy, I can not afford to keep buying pretty filament!....that said I will buy all the rock filament they have.
How comes your printer only prints one line before it starts to print, mine prints around 5 or 6?
Where did you get your butane torch?
congrats!

@@DaveTheMotoGamer wow that sucks. And here I am getting annoyed that my ultrawide monitor isn't fully utilized
I also printed two snakes off that file

Overture keeps clogging my bambu printers for some reason😢
Have you tried updating the firmware ;)

You should try resin printing as well cause it's faster, more finer details and could be more economical by hollowing the prints.
Thank you for the most interesting things I like, u are the most beautiful person I know
Thank you so much :)
U more than welcome, u son looks cool 2 xx
