When Jessica became a Reverand Mother by taking the water of life she inherited the combined memories of the Mother she replaced as well as all of her female ancestors along with those of her own maternal line. Being pregnant the baby also has all of that information and sensory data. She is totally talking to the baby.

That is their stated goal, simple human survival. It gets complicated in actual application, and the precept of "the end justifies the means" reigns supreme, or, any temporary - or long term - evil is acceptable, if it increases the long term odds humans survive. And they calculate that only they are wise enough to be trusted with this, so Bene Gesserit survival is needed for human survival, so anything to protect the Bene Gesserit is justified. ANYTHING.

27:47, in the book I've heard that the blue scarf on Chani's head signifies a young Fremen woman who has just given birth to a male child. However, in an interview the director says the scarf is meant to signify that she is in love with Paul. In any scene where you see her wearing the scarf Chani is in love with him. In later scenes she only seems to wear it on her arm perhaps as a sign of mourning that they are over.
4:42, the end of this movie is the end of the first Dune book. There are a few more Dune books with Paul and Chani in them. Also in the books, Chani was 100% on Team Atreides. She belleved in Paul's ascension and worked closely with Jessica to support him. There was none of the sniping you see in this movie. Chani was so down for Paul that when young Fremen tried to challenge him, she would stop then in their tracks. Paul would hear a ruckus and come out to see Chani standing over some dude cleaning her crysknife. When he would ask what happened she would be like "He wanted to challenge you but wasn't worth your time." Paul would get mad and tell her she was overstepping, Chani would reply "If he couldn't defeat Muad 'dib's woman then he can't fight Muad 'dib himself." One aspect of Fremen culture that isn't covered in this movie is that if you defeat a man in an Amtal duel (as Paul did with Jamis) his property and family become yours. Paul inherited a Jamis's wife Harah and their two sons to take care for. Because of his young age and being smitten with Chani, Paul never consummated a relationship with Harah. She went on to play other roles in the Atreides household. So keeping that in custom in mind, by Chani defeating Paul's challengers herself she was ensuring that she stayed with the man she wanted to be with. Over the course of the second half of the book, Chani becomes pregnant and has a child with Paul. Their time from meeting one another to the final battle with the Imperial Sarduaker is about 3 years not the less than nine months shown in the movie. Because of some inner self reflection upon seeing the depth of Paul and Chai's love, Jessica realized that she and Leto robbed themselves of a chance for true happiness by not getting formally married. So she counsels Paul to forget about politics and marry the person he loves. In the end Paul and Jessica tell Chani that his marriage to the Princess Irulan is just political. He tells her in detail that he will never share any love, share a bed or sire children with the princess. Paul basically marries Irulan for show then goes back home to Chani.
The orange sand scene early on was filmed during an RL solar eclipse. Someone worked out how long they would have during near-totality and totality, and the camera crew worked their socks off.
11:25, the Bene Gesserit don't send dreams they have missionaries like the old Reverend Mother go out and live with the Fremen. Sort of like how Christian churches did in our real world in Africa, South America and Asia.
No one ever comments on the fact that this is the second time Paul is told not to stand with his back to the open....I have a feeling this may lead to his death in the future because they keep telling him this
Now you see: that’s a great theme in the movie even if it’s not accurate to the book but reflection to it… whatever Paul says Stilgar reads of it that the prophet would say that. “Oh he is so humble like a prophet as it is written!!!!! The signs!!!” If he would say else? That’s the sign. Fanatical people are dangerously ignorant to see anything. And thus comes one of the religious aspects of Dune. And the implications just coming later. He already sees it. People are dying in his name. He says it. Also it’s fun to see how it came out the sand walk… Zendaya really was the teacher. She being a dancer had faster an idea how to do it and showed to Tim.
Yes the goal for bene gessetti is to bring forth the one. The male bene gessetti the Kwizatz Haderach. The Arrakis people call him the Lisan Al Gaib voice from the outer world

Every adolescent and adult is doing something. So to Stilgar's point if Jessica doesn't become a Reverend Mother she is of no use to the tribe.

They live in the desert. Body moisture is more important than spice to the fremen. They don't waste the body's water.
