WHO REMEMBERS....a few years ago(20+) the setting is 4 or 5 construction workers on a site sitting eating lunch, the guys start chanting, 'do it do it do it' to one of their coworkers. So the guy gets up standing in front of them as if he were on stage and starts mocking their boss, "....Jerry you do this....Tommy you do that...I'm the boss breaks are over" as he is mocking the boss, a Ram crawls up behind him, which he doesnt hear cause it's so quiet, after a minute he notices his coworkers faces and whispers,,,,"he's right behind me isn't he"? and that was it. When and if you seen it you would know I am not coming close to the humor, it's funny as hell. I have been searching for this for two years....do not know the exact year it was either...let me know if anyone finds it. I'll send you a Dodge Ram as a finders fee. Thanks guys.....
@@dieselsmoker2425 EMD Electro-Motive Diesel. Owned by General Motors from 1930 to 2005. Made locomotives. Alot of locomotives, try to go somewhere and not find one. Today EMD is owned by Caterpillar. Powerstrokes were originally IHC engines, they aren't exactly rare, you probably rode a bus powered by one as a kid. Their roots go to the world's most popular farm equipment and formerly the largest truck and bus manufacturer. Ford made diesels too for farm, construction, truck, and power unit use. Again not exactly rare. Duramax is a joint venture between GM, you know of GM-Detroit Diesel fame, and Isuzu who is not exactly a small company in the pacific. Not saying Detroits are great, but they were the most popular motor before the Cummins and Caterpillar got it together.
Comparing your truck to a Genset is literally the worst advertisement I can come up with. Also General Motors also made diesel locomotives for years, hilariously that's what the locomotive in the video started out as.
Thank you for posting this, I saw this only once on TV and wanted to find it here. It truly is a "stretch" as he says in the beginning to compare a truck to a train, especially since the Cummins diesel engine in the train is only used to generate electricity for the electric motors that actually make the train move. So, I consider it somewhat deceptive. But, for the ignorant who want to believe the Cummins in the train actually pulls it, it's ok - just don't tell them about the Easter Bunny.
That is true Cummins actually does have a 95 liter 16 cylinder LOCOMOTIVE SIZE DIESEL ENGINES. They are delivered to the shop via flatbed tractor trailer and hoisted into the locos by large cranes. I worked for Union Pacific Railroad for years and Yes there ARE IN FACT various loco engines built by Cummins and Yes, there is also GM loco engines as well as full on locomotives. Electric locos are used ON YARD ONLY to pull cars and take them to various tracks to be connected to the different trains that are going out. But once all the cars are connected they hook DIESEL FUEL BURNING LOCOMOTIVES to take them cross country. When former president Bush Sr. passed away the "Presidents Train" came through our yard because it needed fuel before heading to its final stop and it was an IMMACTULATELY CONDITIONED GM LOCOMOTIVE PULLING HIS CASKET.

The engines in trains are actually under a lot of load, generator engines don't have an easy life.
