The idea of John Wick correcting McClane about the mujahideen is not something I would have thought of - but I'll be damned if it's not absolutely accurate. Genuinely one of my favourite lines.
Also,it ain't that much of a correction. The ogs from mujahideen were the ones who formed Taliban
Same people, mujahideen members made up the taliban
When I hear mujahadeen I just think of call of duty black ops 2 honestly
@@icy_avxry8357 This is not accurate as the Mujahideen were made up of several groups opposing the Soviet-backed government. This government was widely disliked in Afghanistan due to their willingness to execute political enemies and allowed groups with differing goals to come together. After the collapse of the communist government, these groups eventually splintered apart in a civil war that the Taliban won.
@@shahsadsaadu5817
OGs from the Mujahideen also formed the opposition to the Taliban in the Northern Alliance as well.
I will never not be impressed by Lloyd's ability to morph his face into almost any person.
I know, right?!
But definitely not his voice...
I'm the 1000th like kiss me
@@TexGaming yeah...... Lloyd's John McClane is the Batman of NicePeter.
Just listen to the beginning of the rap and its final line, it sound nothing alike.
@@mstevensh Let's not say that, atleast Lloyd's mclain sounds nice independent of its reference material. Batman was a mess from top to bottom.
I love how their raps fit their fighting styles.
Mcclane’s was tongue in cheek, creative, and full of cursing.
Wick’s was clean, smooth, and once he started his flow never stopped.
Rambo’s was emotional, chaotic and intense.
👍👍
Great crtique
Yeah, this is one of their better ones, for sure. Nailed it!

“I slip in the jungle like a ghost and then ding! I pop up right behind ya like toast” is such a goofy ass line yet it’s probably one of my favorites from this video
It's insane how well they played all 3 of these characters. Even Zach managed to capture Keanu's awkward yet wholesome mannerisms
He really captured Keanu’s mannerisms and vocal tics. Listen to how he says “Shaft” in the Call you both John Shaft line. It’s so accurate
This is Zach’s most out-there role compared to all the ones he’s done and he completely nails it
Yes. Zach is amazing.@@kikiretzorg1467
The “John Shaft” quadruple meaning of the elevator shafts in Die Hard, the mine shafts in Rambo, a penis shaft, and John Shaft from the Shaft franchise is unappreciated genius
I guess. Tf? Cringe

@@analias3483 its gunna be a sad day when I can no longer dislike comments like these.
So now that Pete has played Ted of “Bill and Ted”, and Zach has played John Wick, we just need Lloyd to play Neo for the ERB Keanu Reeves tri-force to be complete!
I pitch Wachowski Sisters vs Coen Brothers
Neo in the background
Or maybe a holy trinity 😏
that genius watching ted with these like elite soldiers would be hilarious
Then they battle

The "I'm thinking you're expendable" has to be the line that got me 😂
Late answer, but it is also a nice reference to the "Expendables" movies ^^
One thing about this battle that I never see mentioned is how the beat changes to match the movie soundtrack of each pariticpant. From the more straightforward, orchestral action-packed tone of Die Hard, to the low-key electronica of Wick, to the more somber, sinister war-torn soundtrack of the Rambo films. It's honestly my favorite part of this battle lol
Yeah it was really done well! I remember them saying in the BTS that they tried to pick a specific beat
I know I'm late to this reply, but fantastic job pointing that out. I didn't catch it until I read your review and then went back and we listened to it you are 100% right good ears bro
also, die hard has christmas bells
They did the same thing in the James Bond vs. Austin Powers battle, to great effect. Even when a character has a single word interjection, they get their own music. It’s a lot of fun when they do that, adds so much flavor to the battle
Yeah, I noticed the beat for Mcclane straight away, so was looking forward to hearing the other 2
The most dangerous trio of John's ever seen.
Only missing John Marston
Quartet. You couldn't see the Marine I'm guessing, but his name is John
@@lilcatfish1105 he'd show up and hogtie these 3 clowns for a $5 bounty lol
@@lilcatfish1105 and John Price

McClane’s line about “pushing up daisies” hits harder when you remember that Wick’s dog is named Daisy.
holy SHIT
Dunno, never watched these movies.
no need to remember he mentions that was his dogs name in the prior verse.
@@olenhol2przez4 put on your coolkid sunglasses and moonwalk outta here then.
If you didn’t know the name it can seem to just be a line referencing that the dog is dead,
They need a round 2, they're just so great together
Agree! A sequel would make this especially since all of the characters have sequels
I think the rematch we need the most is Musk VS Zuckerberg
Round 2 will just be ww3 between these guys
It's a subtle touch, but I love the inclusion of sleigh bells in the beat during McClane's verse.
Fun fact: John Wick was initially titled "Scorn". The reason, Screenwriter Derek Kolstad explained, was that Keanu Reeves kept referring to the script by the character’s name and distributor Lionsgate believed it would be too much free publicity to lose.
Detective Micheal Scoon
That’s actually really cool
lmao the bots are already here
@@heydavid4883 Yeah, it sucks.
Another hood classic
I just noticed that John McClane's verse, as well as when he raps at the end, has sleigh bells in the instrumental not present in anyone else's verse. Nice touch. I guess ERB is pro-"Die Hard is a Christmas movie"
I mean... Die Hard is a chrismas movie. "Now I have a machine gun, ho ho ho"
Check the behind the scenes video, they explain how for each of the characters they added certain musical effects to highlight each John
"A movie is a Christmas movie if you take Christmas out and the movie wouldn't work"
Die Hard only works because he was going back to see his kids for Christmas. Therefore its a Christmas movie.
@@randomlowe3553 But replace Christmas with any other family deadline and the movie still makes sense. If he was trying to get back to his family for Easter, a birthday or an anniversary it would literally not effect the plot at all. And since that deadline is the only real usage of Christmas in the film its not a Christmas film.
@@sebpaine9095 I mean, I see your point and it could be most other holidays (except for that fact it’s a Christmas party his wife’s at which I don’t think would’ve happened at many other holidays), I think while it COULDVE been any other holiday, it was Christmas. Just because it could’ve been something else doesn’t mean it’s no longer it’s a Christmas movie, it just means they happened to choice him going home for Christmas
So I’d say it is personally

Rambo got that Goldsmith intensity.
Nice catch! I had to go back and listen to it again after seeing your comment.
I already pointed this out.
But I guess you said it louder
when rambo’s verse starts..its the instrumental of the beginning of first blood..nice touch
Aren't all three movies set during Christmas? I know Die Hard and Rambo are. Tho I have never seen any of them.
This format really deserves more recognition for how difficult it is to put together. A three way battle that is a COHESIVE project/product through and through is so impressive. I would ABSOLUTELY love to see more three way battles like this. The construction of this is just phenomenal and satisfying to watch play out, agh. It's literally like, well, it's like a movie, lol!

The first ERB that justifies having subtitles. There’s no way I would’ve gotten through Rambo’s verse without’em.
100% true. Respect to Peter for rapping in Stallone slur. Commit!
It's easier for me to read than hear words -- my HEARING is fine, my brain just finds it hard to process speech when there's any sort of background noise -- so I was automatically reading the subtitles, and I didn't even REALIZE it was hard to follow, since I got all the words from what was written, until I read your comment. Then I went back and watched it again, and huh, it IS pretty badly slurred.

Better get some more TOILET PAPER
It's actually meant to resemble the theme song of Rambo First Blood. The song is called "It's a long road" by Jerry Goldsmith.

Love it!
Man, the more I come back to this one the more I come to appreciate Rambo's part. The music, the voice, the bars. All of it.

All three of you really nailed your characters in this battle. Peters Rambo had me constantly laughing, Lloyds Mclane was on point and I was shocked at how well Zack fit the role of Wick. One of your best battles in my opinion, loved it.
Zack's Wick was my favourite, it's not an _exact_ impression but it's the over exaggerated simplicities that really sells it as John Wick. Peter and Lloyd are as rad as always ofc; they have always nailed their characters.
@@iblame_nargles It's more of an impersonation than an impression
