As for why MI6 would want John Wick dead, well maybe they had some people infiltrating the gangs Wick destroyed, or by his rampage he compromised some kind of operation the MI6 could not simply let go. Knowing of the skills of "Baba Yaga", they of course would need to send their top agent. That operation Wick compromised would then come around and force them to cooperate.
Wick and the equaliser is another crossover I'd love to see. Imagine the high table gets the upper hand on wick and forces him to contract kill for them free of charge as penance since he's too good to waste. His first contract involves the silencing of a mysterious vigilante who's recent activities have upset the order of things, namely the destroying of a high table affiliated Russian crime syndicate and a group of decorated war veterans turned mercenaries also on the payroll of the high table.
I hate to be that guy but your math doesn't check out if every 4th click deactivates it. 141 divided by 4 would be 35.25, or 35 with a remainder of 1. By that logic 2 more clicks would be needed to activate the pen right?
@@justk055 you're right, so technically the pen shouldn't have gone off at the end, though its possible that the base number was off by a few clicks or they just had the pen go off for comedy sake. Either way, still a pretty decent job on OP's part

@Gigas0101 Actually, I think Bond did hit Wick in the head. Remember that gun barrel scene? We do see blood, and Wick raised a hand to his face. He probably lost it and charged recklessly at Bond.
And why couldn't Bond have done the same? He tends to aim for the head too. In fact, if you want to get granular with it, they established that Bond is quicker on the draw and even capable of dodging a gunshot near-point blank
Okay, but would Bond's gun have really pierced Wick's bulletproof coat like that when the minigun bullets in the car couldn't? That's actually my biggest problem with the fight.
Remember the animation is only somewhat illustrative of the actual fight, creative Liberties are taken for the sake of making it more exciting and stuff like that. If the fight were to actually take place most likely the winner would be the first one to get a headshot and again that would most likely be Bond
From all the death battles I have watched I have always taken the battles at the end as more of a visual treat than an actual interpretation of how they would go. In many fights (of superheroes) characters of unequal strength or speed (as per calculations) are depicted as going toe to toe or just characters that were no match for the other in generell (as per calculations) being able to put up a fight. That is really just there to give the viewer a spectacle for the eye. It is as they so often say, the analysis of who would win the most often if the fight was fought a hundred times over, that determines the winner of a death battle.
also lets say they're right that bonds quick draw is faster but his full suit covers most of his body. john wick shots twice, first to hit to injure then second to the head.
I still want to see John Wick taking on the Hitman Agent 47, i think the two most deadliest professional Hitmen in fiction trying to hunt each other would make for a fight of epic proportions!
Agent 47 works the best with prep time, he takes his time to gather information and create a good escenario for an assassination, if 47 is huting Wick, he would kill him pretty easily like it was any other contract, but in a straight fight like Death Battle does, John is taking the win, Agent 47 may be stronger than any human, but so is John due to action movie over-the-top-ness, and 47 will die if stabbed or shot, while John has a bullet-proof vest to protect him and is a better fighter
I was snickering during the rundown of each of their abilities, thinking about how funny it would've been; if the second after the announcer said "FIGHT!" The fight animation was just them immediately shooting each other in the face. "Double K.O!" Turns out, despite the extensive list of their skills and gadgets, Wiz concludes that they are in fact: "Not immune to being shot in the face." And would for all intents and purposes, both shoot each other in the face. That would've been such a meme.
A guy got shot in the face and walked himself to the hospital, and he was just a regular guy. So I mean, I get your point, still funny, but not exactly accurate. The skull is a pretty hard bone to get through with something like a 9mm or even a .45 ACP. Now, both are equally capable of surviving a gunshot to the head, however, John has show tremendous ability to sustain extreme damage, with very little hindrance to his ability to kill. Wick definitely has more durability than Bond

The part of the fight I dont like is when they specifically say "John wick's suit is immune to bullets" and then bullets penetrate his suit (from the handgun)
I think so far this is the closest to regular humans fighting each other in Death Battle. These two are actually superhuman but not nearly as much as other characters that fought before.

frankly speaking, John wick should have won the fight entirely given how Bond had absolutely no time what so ever on planning his dodge of the bullet John would have shot; the whole premise of his bullet dodging ability is his ability to calculate and predict where the bullet will travel once fired from the gun, even with all the scenes of him apparently dodging gun-fire in movies is due to him being a moving target far more than his skills and the guys shooting at him may be skilled shots but even the most skilled of shooters will still miss over half the shots they fire in a stressful situation such as a home-invasion or James Bond has escaped his cell - shoot on site, he should have been dead the moment he turned to shoot back at John.
Not only that but John Wick is cannonically said to be objectively the best in the world. That means as soon as bond and John are in the same workd, Wick is instantly better than him anyway reguardless of any advantages he may have had as separate universes

Bullets may not penetrate Wick's suit, but he would still feel the impact of each round. As he's hit multiple times from the mini-guns, it would be like someone repeatedly hitting him with a baseball bat.
True enough. Kevlar might protect against bullet penetration for a while, but not the kinetic shock. Users of bulletproof vests have reported bruises and even broken bones after being shot.

Fight dynamics like this are always among my favorites on this show. John Wick is clearly superior when it comes to hand to hand combat, as he wins the initial clash, overpowers Bond after the cigarette trick, and stabs him during their final knife duel. Bond has to think outside the box and outwit Wick at every turn, like he does with the cigarette, the car, and his laser watch at the end. It’s always so much fun seeing how different fighting styles bounce off of each other, I prefer battles like these over slugging fests
If it weren’t for the car, I would guess this fight would’ve either been a draw (with both characters just accepting they aren’t getting anywhere) or it would lean more to John Wick. JW had the upper hand near the end but the car knocked him off balance which caused him to lose. Also, if 007 was allowed his car and his million gadgets, JW deserved his dog and/ or his heavy weaponry (maybe positioned somewhere in case of attacks)
The slugging fests can work, like with Thor vs Vegeta (one of my favorites), but they need to be character-oriented. That's what makes stuff like this so good.

this fight was cool, but i think a more appropiate match for John Wick would be against the Agent 47 from Hitman, in a contest between two legendary hitmen who are specialists at using anything in their surroundings as weapons. i wanted to see it for a long time and it would make a awesome episode if ever happens.
47 assassinate people that looks like an accident happened and Agent 47 not only surpassed John wick in strength and power due to being genetically modified Clone superior to others but also in IQ.
For only having three movies, John went all 12 rounds and had 007 on the ropes. This made me want DB to revisit these characters in future battles with the following matchups: - 007 vs Ethan Hunt (MI6 vs IMF) - John Wick vs Jason Bourne (Pencil vs Pen)

Pre retirement wick would be much smarter, much faster, and definitely would be aware of separating bond from his gadgets first before killing him in the following 1 Vs 1 contest. That would be possible because, like you said, he'd have a reason to live/survive.

Fun note: Every James Bond, from the first book to the last movie, served in HER MAJESTIES' ROYAL SERVICE. As in, every single James Bond answered to Queen Elizabeth. Every. Single. One.
They give Bond the advantage of superior aim. Wick misses 3-4 shots throughout the entirety of his series, and that’s because glass is changing the Trajectory of the bullets, not one other shot misses, even one’s through walls. Bond misses entire magazines regularly in his series.
I think they were going off where they noticed that Bond can apparently dodge near-point-blank bullets successively, as well as electricity (super fast) and even a laser (really really fast). So, sure, Wick may have a higher hit-rate, but that doesn't mean his shots are magic missiles. It is Shot Accuracy vs. Dodge Speed, or so I assume. Honestly, only watched this because I was really bored, I don't care at all for either franchise. Though the various comment battles here are weirdly amusing as a result.
As a huge fan of Death Battle, this is my favourite one. Not only is it super fun and entertaining, but I really love how they show both combatants advantages and disadvantages without going too far either way E.g. they show how Bond absolutely wrecks Wick in ranged combat, and how they are quite close in h2h but Wick is always winning those fights because he is slightly above Bond in that category. I like that Wick's superior endurance is shown through him being able to tank the gadgets for a while, but like they say, he can only take so much I prefer James as a character. I like Wick, but James is just something else to me. However, I wouldn't have even minded if mr Wick won because while Bond is obviously superior in most categories, this fight was extremely fun

I can see it going this way. As Wick fan I was looking at John's ability to go in head first into danger without much of a plan or gadgets against people as good as him and still get the kills. Bond would definitely plan for Wick and come at him with everything his team can come up with.
Are you forgetting the second Wick movie? He literally plans his way from the guns he stores in the tunnel based on the fight that is to come and the guns based on the henchmen he is going to face.
While this was a fun match up, I can't be the only person who thinks John Wick vs Jason Bourne would be a much more even match up, right? That would be a sick death battle for sure.
This is pretty obviously going to Bond. Wick is incredible, but he’s still human and hasn’t done anything particularly outlandish. Plus, he only has three movies versus Bond’s still going saga. A better matchup here would have been Wick versus 47 since they’re both hit men or Bond versus Ethan Hunt since they’re both super spies. This matchup doesn’t really make much sense.

Agreed. Perhaps it’s better if Bond fought someone like Harry for example. The feat he pulled off during the church fight was insane, and the gadgets Eggsy and him gotten from Merlin during the Poppyland raid are just as high-tech as well.
@@markconstance186 And going off of this, I feel a better opponent for Wick would have been Agent 47. Although 47 has a good deal of unconventional weapons as well, it's nowhere near to the scale of James' arsenal. Plus he's closer to scale with John's proficiency in both armed and unarmed combat.

As a John Wick fan I knew Bond would win due to gadgets, that’s what really gives Bond the edge and I’m ok with that. Although if they were put in a wide, flat area with nothing else to use but hand to hand fighting I don’t think Bond would outfight Wick.
Well he also has years of different films, comics, and games that gives him an unfair advantage. A better fit could've someone like Hitman where he also has the same deal or if they considered one bond as the primary bond to fight.
I love how when John ask why MI6 want him dead, James basically says he's too good to be left alive before he becomes their problem, but also says he respects him enough to "catch up" with his reputation.
I mean, the Continental does seem like the sort of thing that MI-6 would have a problem with. The existence of a high-level organization of international assassins is exactly the kind of thing Bond would be sent in to deal with.
Probably nitpicking here. John Wick has access to a wide variety of guns ranging from assault rifles, sub-machine guns, and automatic shotguns. Yet here he’s armed with an only a pistol and a knife. James Bond on the other hand, gets access plenty of gadgets. Ranging from an exploding pen, remote controlled car with mounted machine guns, and a laser wristwatch. How come Bond gets access to his gadgets, yet John Wick doesn’t get access to most of his guns?
I think it has to do with what they're always readily available with when it comes to street level fighters. James Bond is always seen with his gadgets in one form or another (or atleast from what im aware of) whereas John Wick just kinda picks up and goes, never really having a signature style of weaponry he always keeps around him besides the pistol

'Realistically' the fight could go either way, but the premise is not just about the characters but the movie/universe logic from either characters origin as well. Bond logic gives him the advantage for most scenarios, it's as if there's always some sort of utility or something in his immediate surroundings that he can use while being suave about it, John just sort of tanks the damage and keeps on going through sheer will. I think this one is less about the characters independent skills (Because it just goes either way depending on who's hunting/prepared for who) and more about the logic their own universes allow them.

It depends on how the fight goes. 47 prefers stealth, using combat as a last resort. In a hand-to-hand, Wick would certainly win. But if 47 gets the opportunity to do his thing, he could sabotage Wick's gear, expose physical or emotional weaknesses, or catch him off guard.
TBH, i'd like to see them together in a movie. Be it they against each other or join forces to eliminate a common enemy. Or both. (themselves fight at 1st, until their common enemy shows up)
What I hate about these series is they put different versions off one while using one version off the other… This makes it very biased, they didn’t even touch Wicks comics…

Yeah as much as I love John Wick, he's a little more grounded in reality than James Bond. Not to say that the Wick series doesn't have MANY unrealistic moments. But comparing one of Wicks greatest tools like a suit that can lessen bullet impact to something Bond can pull out of his ass like an INVISIBLE CAR, it's safe to say one of them is WAY more fantastical than the other. So it's kinda clear on who would win. Regardless they are both very fun to watch
The kind of armor that John has in the movies is theoretically possible, we just don't have the industrial processes yet to make carbon nanotube, or graphene in large enough contiguous sheets to be useful.

I think the issue with many of these is what I call Series bloat. Because of the far older franchise of James bond, his character has had more time to spend topping itself.

Right. Gadget Spy vs Gadget Spy, and leave the grittier, more down to earth ones for their own match-ups. Not that Bourne doesn't have a few tricks of his own, they're certainly less than Bond or Hunt. Unfortunately the feeling these match-ups are very lopsided has been with me for awhile. Couldn't tell you when the last even match took place, or what it was.
@@BNuts Because they don't care about even matchups, just name recognition. Gadget spy vs Gadget Spy would have been great while John Wick vs Jason Bourne would have been a GREAT battle to go off of. But they chase the clicks more so than actual even matchups nowadays, so it's folly to expect they'd actually do even matchups anymore unless the two names involved just somehow happen to be evenly matched by coincidence.
@@carrastealth they stated a long time ago that when doing battles they have to convince their higher ups to do it, and they have to seem relevant to those guys at the time. As there currently isn't an mi or Bourne movie slated for anytime soon they may not have approved them. Meanwhile John wick 4 is coming soon and the talks of who will be playing bond next is a hot topic ATM.
3 small details: The pen clicked 12 times, so it shouldn't have gone off. Why did James' pistol shoot through Wick's coat when the car's chainguns didn't? It's "What goes around comes around", not "What comes around goes around"
His chest was part of what got shot by the car, which happened after the missile, so the missile theory is out. As for the car weakening the jacket, I mean maybe, even though it'd be quite a coincidence that the chaingun fire was exactly enough to completely weaken his suit jacket without going through even once. In the end tho, these are just nitpicks.
@@TheOfficialPSI Wick held up his arms and the car guns hit the sleeves and back. Technically speaking, Wick should have been dead from the rocket. In You Only Live Twice, that cigarette rocket hits and explodes like an RPG. No amount of Kevlar is going to stop that.

Should of only used Craig bond just to be more fair, the pre-craig bond's just have way to much plot armor. Ethan Hunt vs Craig bond would of also been a more equal and a better death battle.
This battle wasn't really about the plot armor, though. Like the post-fight breakdown said, Bond got the wind because he was able to pull more unpredictable tactics out that Wick just couldn't have had a plan for. Pre or Post Craig, Bond would have still won.

In the movie, the girl escapes from him in a car, and he says "This never happened to the other fellow", refering to Connery's 007. Johns spatial awareness is so incredible. I couldnt see him not being aware of that car turning to hit him. He would have figured a way to move. The dude literally can see ninjas hiding in darkness and counter them. Did it in movie 3. Takes out multiple buildings full of people.
He had 3 bullet wounds in the front and 24 in the back when the car shot him at the end, he was probably just trying to end the fight as quick as possible in that moment (since his gun seems to have been shot through given that shot) and was unable to think clearly.
It'd be pretty mundane I assume lol They'd watch the video and probably crack smiles and say nice things. Like "thanks for enjoying these characters we portray!"

Hope John gets a second chance on Death Battle because in my opinion this was a bit of an unfair fight with the fact Bond had all those gadgets and John went more old school.
Honestly, this was way better than I expected. As someone who grew up watching James Bond, it was a treat to see him again. The battle also wasn’t so bad. It was really enjoyable and Wick had some of the coolest moments.
Man, these John Wick fans are pretty pissed, like they haven't seen a single Bond movie and just assumes him as a cliche action spy hero. I love both sides but come on, at least watch the Connery and Dalton ones.
I feel wick had a massive disadvantage in 2 ways. 1. Bond as a series is MUCH older. Meaning he could get away with more and more shark jumping feats. And 2. Wick is more or less based on reality.

If wick had the reaction speed, the everyone would be happy except for the bond fans. Even without gadgets, bond still had reaction speed and creative adaptability as well.
This was amazing! But Bond's plot armor is just ridiculous, there is always a gadget for something, and that first bullet miraculously got through John's defenses when two gattlings could not after multiple chances. I believe a closer fight would have been between Rambo and John Wick.
I don't think the first bullet was a miracle but pure skill. Both of them are obviously known to have crazy accuracy. It's not a wonder that they were aiming for the same spot that would potentially kill the other in one shot. The trajectory of their shots would align then.
This match up felt already determined even if you haven’t watch it. Even if James Bond and John Wick were equal in Combat and Skills, Bond’s spy gadgets were a dead give away in terms of who would win. Wick has ways of surviving some of them but he doesn’t have the same amount of tools that Bond has (not even a gun mounted car with bullet proof glass) Basically, there were no surprises and Bond should’ve been matched with another Spy with similar high tech gadgets instead of an assassin that doesn’t even have a laser pen.
Yeah like bond fights in a world with space laser and superpowered men and invisible gadgets , I like 007 if wick had gadgets from that universe he would have rolled 007 . This was an unfair matchup , could have put bond against Ethan hunt or Bourne.
That's the beauty of John Wick he just needs a pencil he's an assassin not a spy, A Spy has gadgets to help him an Assassin needs only a weapon that gets the job done nothing more nothing less after all you don't need a Gun mounted Car with bullet proof glass to kill someone in front of you or in scoping distance.

Glad Bond has finally come up in DB. To be honest, I think it would've been cool to have a battle royale between him, Jack Bauer, and Jason Bourne. However, I'm fine with this match-up. It'll be a tough call, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bond's special gadgets give him the edge over Wick's gun-fu/fighting skill and resilience.
I'm thinking hand to hand wick takes it but the gadgets and accessories give bond the upper hand..haven't watched it yet but it should end up coming down to one of those two situations too give one of them the win.
Was expecting the final scene to show them waking up in bed together with Wick saying "That was the first time I allowed someone to shoot multiple times without wearing protection".
To be honest I kind of saw this outcome coming. True John wick is an almost nigh unstoppable killing machine, but very rarely has he ever gone up against a fighter of equal skill with a veritable wacky arsenal as James Bond. James Bond had more options in combat and his unpredictable nature is how I saw he would win. Kudos to 007

As for why MI6 would want John Wick dead, well maybe they had some people infiltrating the gangs Wick destroyed, or by his rampage he compromised some kind of operation the MI6 could not simply let go. Knowing of the skills of "Baba Yaga", they of course would need to send their top agent. That operation Wick compromised would then come around and force them to cooperate.
If that were to ever happen I would want the fights filmed with the usual John wick choreography. I don’t find 007’s nearly as entertaining imho.

And why couldn't Bond have done the same? He tends to aim for the head too. In fact, if you want to get granular with it, they established that Bond is quicker on the draw and even capable of dodging a gunshot near-point blank
Okay, but would Bond's gun have really pierced Wick's bulletproof coat like that when the minigun bullets in the car couldn't? That's actually my biggest problem with the fight.
Remember the animation is only somewhat illustrative of the actual fight, creative Liberties are taken for the sake of making it more exciting and stuff like that.

From all the death battles I have watched I have always taken the battles at the end as more of a visual treat than an actual interpretation of how they would go. In many fights (of superheroes) characters of unequal strength or speed (as per calculations) are depicted as going toe to toe or just characters that were no match for the other in generell (as per calculations) being able to put up a fight. That is really just there to give the viewer a spectacle for the eye. It is as they so often say, the analysis of who would win the most often if the fight was fought a hundred times over, that determines the winner of a death battle.

Agent 47 works the best with prep time, he takes his time to gather information and create a good escenario for an assassination, if 47 is huting Wick, he would kill him pretty easily like it was any other contract, but in a straight fight like Death Battle does, John is taking the win, Agent 47 may be stronger than any human, but so is John due to action movie over-the-top-ness, and 47 will die if stabbed or shot, while John has a bullet-proof vest to protect him and is a better fighter

A guy got shot in the face and walked himself to the hospital, and he was just a regular guy. So I mean, I get your point, still funny, but not exactly accurate. The skull is a pretty hard bone to get through with something like a 9mm or even a .45 ACP. Now, both are equally capable of surviving a gunshot to the head, however, John has show tremendous ability to sustain extreme damage, with very little hindrance to his ability to kill. Wick definitely has more durability than Bond

frankly speaking, John wick should have won the fight entirely given how Bond had absolutely no time what so ever on planning his dodge of the bullet John would have shot; the whole premise of his bullet dodging ability is his ability to calculate and predict where the bullet will travel once fired from the gun, even with all the scenes of him apparently dodging gun-fire in movies is due to him being a moving target far more than his skills and the guys shooting at him may be skilled shots but even the most skilled of shooters will still miss over half the shots they fire in a stressful situation such as a home-invasion or James Bond has escaped his cell - shoot on site, he should have been dead the moment he turned to shoot back at John.
Not only that but John Wick is cannonically said to be objectively the best in the world. That means as soon as bond and John are in the same workd, Wick is instantly better than him anyway reguardless of any advantages he may have had as separate universes

Fight dynamics like this are always among my favorites on this show. John Wick is clearly superior when it comes to hand to hand combat, as he wins the initial clash, overpowers Bond after the cigarette trick, and stabs him during their final knife duel. Bond has to think outside the box and outwit Wick at every turn, like he does with the cigarette, the car, and his laser watch at the end. It’s always so much fun seeing how different fighting styles bounce off of each other, I prefer battles like these over slugging fests
If it weren’t for the car, I would guess this fight would’ve either been a draw (with both characters just accepting they aren’t getting anywhere) or it would lean more to John Wick.
JW had the upper hand near the end but the car knocked him off balance which caused him to lose. Also, if 007 was allowed his car and his million gadgets, JW deserved his dog and/ or his heavy weaponry (maybe positioned somewhere in case of attacks)
The slugging fests can work, like with Thor vs Vegeta (one of my favorites), but they need to be character-oriented. That's what makes stuff like this so good.

As a huge fan of Death Battle, this is my favourite one. Not only is it super fun and entertaining, but I really love how they show both combatants advantages and disadvantages without going too far either way
E.g. they show how Bond absolutely wrecks Wick in ranged combat, and how they are quite close in h2h but Wick is always winning those fights because he is slightly above Bond in that category. I like that Wick's superior endurance is shown through him being able to tank the gadgets for a while, but like they say, he can only take so much
I prefer James as a character. I like Wick, but James is just something else to me. However, I wouldn't have even minded if mr Wick won because while Bond is obviously superior in most categories, this fight was extremely fun

I can see it going this way. As Wick fan I was looking at John's ability to go in head first into danger without much of a plan or gadgets against people as good as him and still get the kills. Bond would definitely plan for Wick and come at him with everything his team can come up with.

This is pretty obviously going to Bond. Wick is incredible, but he’s still human and hasn’t done anything particularly outlandish. Plus, he only has three movies versus Bond’s still going saga.

I love how when John ask why MI6 want him dead, James basically says he's too good to be left alive before he becomes their problem, but also says he respects him enough to "catch up" with his reputation.
I mean, the Continental does seem like the sort of thing that MI-6 would have a problem with. The existence of a high-level organization of international assassins is exactly the kind of thing Bond would be sent in to deal with.

Probably nitpicking here. John Wick has access to a wide variety of guns ranging from assault rifles, sub-machine guns, and automatic shotguns. Yet here he’s armed with an only a pistol and a knife.
James Bond on the other hand, gets access plenty of gadgets. Ranging from an exploding pen, remote controlled car with mounted machine guns, and a laser wristwatch. How come Bond gets access to his gadgets, yet John Wick doesn’t get access to most of his guns?
I think it has to do with what they're always readily available with when it comes to street level fighters. James Bond is always seen with his gadgets in one form or another (or atleast from what im aware of) whereas John Wick just kinda picks up and goes, never really having a signature style of weaponry he always keeps around him besides the pistol

'Realistically' the fight could go either way, but the premise is not just about the characters but the movie/universe logic from either characters origin as well. Bond logic gives him the advantage for most scenarios, it's as if there's always some sort of utility or something in his immediate surroundings that he can use while being suave about it, John just sort of tanks the damage and keeps on going through sheer will. I think this one is less about the characters independent skills (Because it just goes either way depending on who's hunting/prepared for who) and more about the logic their own universes allow them.
another battle you should do is John Wick vs. Agent 47 from Hitman, i wanted to see this one for a very long time and i think it would be very cool to see two professional hitmen duking out
It depends on how the fight goes. 47 prefers stealth, using combat as a last resort. In a hand-to-hand, Wick would certainly win. But if 47 gets the opportunity to do his thing, he could sabotage Wick's gear, expose physical or emotional weaknesses, or catch him off guard.
Agent 47 wins, it's not exactly fair trying to pit Wick against a superhuman designed and created to specifically be the perfect hitman.

Yeah as much as I love John Wick, he's a little more grounded in reality than James Bond. Not to say that the Wick series doesn't have MANY unrealistic moments. But comparing one of Wicks greatest tools like a suit that can lessen bullet impact to something Bond can pull out of his ass like an INVISIBLE CAR, it's safe to say one of them is WAY more fantastical than the other. So it's kinda clear on who would win. Regardless they are both very fun to watch
The kind of armor that John has in the movies is theoretically possible, we just don't have the industrial processes yet to make carbon nanotube, or graphene in large enough contiguous sheets to be useful.

I think the issue with many of these is what I call Series bloat. Because of the far older franchise of James bond, his character has had more time to spend topping itself.

Right. Gadget Spy vs Gadget Spy, and leave the grittier, more down to earth ones for their own match-ups. Not that Bourne doesn't have a few tricks of his own, they're certainly less than Bond or Hunt. Unfortunately the feeling these match-ups are very lopsided has been with me for awhile. Couldn't tell you when the last even match took place, or what it was.

for the second one, maybe the chainguns weakened his coat enough for the bullets to enter
Cigarette rocket weakened the coat in the chest so Bond aimed for it.
His chest was part of what got shot by the car, which happened after the missile, so the missile theory is out.
As for the car weakening the jacket, I mean maybe, even though it'd be quite a coincidence that the chaingun fire was exactly enough to completely weaken his suit jacket without going through even once.
In the end tho, these are just nitpicks.

This battle wasn't really about the plot armor, though. Like the post-fight breakdown said, Bond got the wind because he was able to pull more unpredictable tactics out that Wick just couldn't have had a plan for. Pre or Post Craig, Bond would have still won.

Johns spatial awareness is so incredible. I couldnt see him not being aware of that car turning to hit him. He would have figured a way to move. The dude literally can see ninjas hiding in darkness and counter them. Did it in movie 3. Takes out multiple buildings full of people.
He had 3 bullet wounds in the front and 24 in the back when the car shot him at the end, he was probably just trying to end the fight as quick as possible in that moment (since his gun seems to have been shot through given that shot) and was unable to think clearly.

Hope John gets a second chance on Death Battle because in my opinion this was a bit of an unfair fight with the fact Bond had all those gadgets and John went more old school.
Honestly, this was way better than I expected. As someone who grew up watching James Bond, it was a treat to see him again. The battle also wasn’t so bad. It was really enjoyable and Wick had some of the coolest moments.
As a fellow Bond fan, I too had a blast to see 007 gracing the screen once again.

This was amazing! But Bond's plot armor is just ridiculous, there is always a gadget for something, and that first bullet miraculously got through John's defenses when two gattlings could not after multiple chances. I believe a closer fight would have been between Rambo and John Wick.

I don't think the first bullet was a miracle but pure skill. Both of them are obviously known to have crazy accuracy. It's not a wonder that they were aiming for the same spot that would potentially kill the other in one shot. The trajectory of their shots would align then.

This match up felt already determined even if you haven’t watch it. Even if James Bond and John Wick were equal in Combat and Skills, Bond’s spy gadgets were a dead give away in terms of who would win. Wick has ways of surviving some of them but he doesn’t have the same amount of tools that Bond has (not even a gun mounted car with bullet proof glass)
Basically, there were no surprises and Bond should’ve been matched with another Spy with similar high tech gadgets instead of an assassin that doesn’t even have a laser pen.

even though the animation looked kinda wonky, especially the facial animations, I really loved the writing of this battle. and writing as in both dialogue writing and fight choreography.
Snake vs Sam Fisher looked so much better, and that was years ago. But I still enjoyed this a lot

As much as I want to see it too, I think John is already at a disadvantage. 47 does all what John can in a greater scale and not a normal human.
somehing everyone tends to forget about action movie heroes is that all of them have some degree of superhuman-ness due to their absurd feats, and that includes John Wick, if im not wrong, they do said this same thing about John in this video
