I was going to make a separate comment, but here is also appropriate: As I watched this, all I could think as he came on was Soldier Boy (the Boys). We need a Soldier boy VS Cap or something now.
I was sitting over here like "Hey - I could be Indiana Jones for Halloween" and then immediately after Lara Croft drops "You're a Halloween costume for out of shape dads". And I took that personally.
Almost none of Indiana's lines make sense. He fires shots that only make him look even worse. Trashing her game, while having the sad Indiana Jones game garbage that she mentioned. Saying that her game is overshadowed by Uncharted, again meaning that his is overshadowed by both. Trashing her looks while being old. Hiding behind John Williams's score which would only work if she was up against John Williams. The list goes on.

I deadass saw this video in my recommendations and thought "Oh, Lara Croft vs Indiana Jones. I think I remember that one, it's a classic" until I realized it was only just uploaded. I'm so used to ERB being top-notch quality.
The real win here is that after over ten years of asking for these two in a battle, it happens. I voted this at the end of season one and hoped it'd be in season two. It's here now at least!

Another detail I like about this that I haven’t heard anyone else mention is how it opens with a mountain peak. All the Indiana Jones movies open the same way with the Paramount Pictures logo before fading into an actual peak. ERB never misses with the details

Man, I grew up watching ERB, and the fact that they’re still making videos is awesome. They’ve been a constant part of my life in a way, I wouldn’t know how to feel if they stopped. It’s such a nostalgic feeling seeing an ERB upload pop up in my notifications. I remember my friends and I talking about them and quoting them all the time back in school at lunch and between classes. We graduated a few years ago, and even though we’ve all moved on to different things in our lives, work, college, etc, we all still keep in touch. And every time ERB posts a new video, one of us asks in the group chat, “Did ya’ll see the new ERB?” And we’ll talk about them just like we used to lol. Some things never change. Thank you ERB, keep it up. 🙏

haha we filmed that way more than 20 times. different frames per second, different timing, we tried switching the speed of the playback on set. in the end, we ended up choosing a clip that had a decent looking whip motion (harder than I thought) and slowing it down 800% using a program called Topaz. I just wanted to make some sort of visual joke about QTE, it makes me really happy to see you noticing :)

It’s not just a “decent” British accent, it’s a FANTASTIC British accent that sounds very similar to her game counterpart of Judith Gibbons’ performance perfectly from capturing Lara’s mature posh upperclassmen accent of a lady while still retaining Lara’s quick wit and sensual class! It’s perfectly presented, as well as everything else you’ve mentioned as it’s phenomenal package from the actress here! Extremely well done!

This portrayal of Indiana Jones convinced me that ERB could reasonably portray Soldier Boy, and while I have no idea how I came to that conclusion, I’d stand behind it to the death.
It never ceases to amaze how well these lyrics and written, how amazing the beat it, and how great the actors perform. It’s been like 16 years since this channel was created and it never gets old
It has so many great lines that I was able to finally understand first listen. The Uncharted, Drake and Lil Wayne bars is the one that solidified it for me that Indiana won. The nude codes line is my favorite from Lara though
"You took 3D to uncharted territory, now you're just in Uncharted's territory" As a fan of the original games from the 90s, this line hits hard, but is sadly true.

These battles are the definition of quality over quantity. Sure we don't get as many as we used to, but you can see them putting so much effort into the ones we do get.
The actress who did Croft had some of the best choreography in recent memory and that second verse had incredible flow to it, she should definitely come back.
"You're not John Williams, so you ain't scoring" is the PERFECT line from Lara Croft because it fits with the idea that Indiana isn't good enough to get with her AND it's a rebuttal for Jones' brag about his theme song being more accomplished than her. "You're not John Williams, you don't get to take credit for your theme."
I preferred Indy's line about Chase, and her not being able to save him simply for not tapping the 'x' button fast enough, which is a diss to her lore and to the format of her games being a bunch of quick-time events and basically a semi-walking simulator that Uncharted did much better.

Indy had a strong start but Lara fired back hard from start to finish; I love both and was not disappointed with this one. I also love how masterful ERB is with the lyrics - they're fun when you know the references as a fan and just as much when you look them up to get the references. Keep up the good work!

It’s not just a “decent” British accent, it’s a FANTASTIC British accent that sounds very similar to her game counterpart of Judith Gibbons’ performance perfectly from capturing Lara’s mature posh upperclassmen accent of a lady while still retaining Lara’s quick wit and sensual class! It’s perfectly presented, as well as everything else you’ve mentioned as it’s phenomenal package from the actress here! Extremely well done!

It never ceases to amaze how well these lyrics and written, how amazing the beat it, and how great the actors perform. It’s been like 16 years since this channel was created and it never gets old
It has so many great lines that I was able to finally understand first listen. The Uncharted, Drake and Lil Wayne bars is the one that solidified it for me that Indiana won. The nude codes line is my favorite from Lara though

These battles are the definition of quality over quantity. Sure we don't get as many as we used to, but you can see them putting so much effort into the ones we do get.

"You're not John Williams, so you ain't scoring" is the PERFECT line from Lara Croft because it fits with the idea that Indiana isn't good enough to get with her AND it's a rebuttal for Jones' brag about his theme song being more accomplished than her. "You're not John Williams, you don't get to take credit for your theme."
and add to that the play on words with music score, truly an amazing line
It's also the second time John Williams has been used to dis somebody for being the secret to their success, which delights me to no end.
I preferred Indy's line about Chase, and her not being able to save him simply for not tapping the 'x' button fast enough, which is a diss to her lore and to the format of her games being a bunch of quick-time events and basically a semi-walking simulator that Uncharted did much better.
Well actually without Indiana then there wouldn't even be a theme. So he's right to brag on it.

The nice thing about ERB is that they don't need a second channel dedicated to video game rap battles or a fanmade channel for the ones they don't touch.... IT'S ALL HERE
That being said, it's still nice those fanmade channels exist. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Indy had a strong start but Lara fired back hard from start to finish; I love both and was not disappointed with this one. I also love how masterful ERB is with the lyrics - they're fun when you know the references as a fan and just as much when you look them up to get the references. Keep up the good work!
