- Pond Prowler stability test blew me out of the water (literally). I am VERY impressed with the tests I put it through with zero extra weight. Add another person, all your gear and you're more stable than you saw in this video! Maybe the most stable mini pontoon boat in the world?

"Your so happy, it's making me smile" Bro you have so much warmth in your life, never forget that
My loving wife!
The boat is alright, but your wife and the way she talks to you absolutely wholesome
Awww, I wish my wife expressed how much she loves me. You got a keeper.
She is!
Got mine today. i'm a big lug....6'2" and I weigh 250lbs. Im not worried about the stability. Got a 50lb thrust troller. I'll be ripping lips by next weekend!
Heeeeeck yeah buddy!
update on it
@@javierherrera007 love it. Both me and my girl zip around the lake with ease. It’s a snap to load in the flatbed of my Toyota Tacoma. Very glad I purchased this boat. I go out on it about 2 to 3 days a week now.
Being a big dude myself , how is the seats on em? And how'd the 50lb trolling motor do
@donniedarko1345 would it be stable enough for a 300lbs+ person in sometimes choppy water with 15mph winds on average?
Wow!!!!
What an amazing video! The stability is crazy!
I bought a 10 foot Pond Prowler about 11 years ago and it is no where near that stable. They must have made improvements. Now I'm thinking of selling mine and getting the new version!
Just have to talk my wife into it
Those old ones are still fish slayers!! You’ll probably be surprised how much you’ll get out of it when you sell it.
Your content of this build made me get rid of my kayak and go out and get my own keep up the mods I like the style 💪🏼
Definitely a major upgrade compared to even $3,000 kayaks like my friend has!
Hiya Greyson. I have the Sundolphin Sportsman 8.5 boat, cork, whichever. It also is nearly impossible to overturn. However.... a couple of years ago I was fishing in the Hillabee Reservoir....you know which lake that is, I'm sure. Minding my own business I made an inexpert cast and managed to go squirrel fishing. Chuckling, I fired up the trolling motor and made my way to the offending branch, some 10 feet off the water. I chuckled bekez it took me back to the ONLY time I EVER fell out of a boat....a 12 foot jon boat whilst retrieving a lure from a branch. Well..... as luck would have it...I reached the rod over my head and flipped it backwards.....Kerploosh!
Turns out that while the boat is impossorous to turn over.... IF one is sitting sideways in the boat, the seat, which is not latched down, WILL flip your butt right out if ya do a similar swish motion like my humble self. So I'm under water, a hook stuck in my hand, but I'm not toooo eager to surface bekez the trolling motor was beating the snot out of my arm. I had to contend with that....get it off me while not letting the boat loose. I finally overcame all that mess...got the motor turned off and unhooked and back in the boat....all gear too. The water was warm. Of course there was an alligator which was reputed to live in that lake....but I guess he was full of turtles or something bekez if he was in the area he never offered to bite. That's my story. The boat do not turn over....only the fisher person fall out. Go sploosh!
I see you’re a boat guy and a gun guy like me 💪🏾💪🏾 I carry the 43XMOS
Heeeeellll yeah!
I think I seen a post in a Facebook post from you in the bass raider group. I just ordered mine, hopefully my wife and I will be able to both go out. I'm about 230 and she's about 190
Yup you’ll be fine!
I'd love to see a video of what happens when a large boat passes and how it handles the wake!
I have a video going up Friday where I’m exploring a shipwreck in the ocean with some good waves!
These boats handle stuff like that very well. I have a 2005 Bass Hunter 9.5ft and have never felt unsafe when the big bass boat guy's go flying by. Now with that being said I'm looking to upgrade to a newer one and just haven't decided on what to go with (pond prowler (Bass Pro), bass raider (Academy), quest angler (Dick's) or another bass hunter.
@@chadschlichting3661 the newer prowler type boats have the drain plug on the bottom. Make sure you get one of those and not a leftover from last year. I plan on upgrading to a sundolphin pro 120 in a few years if they ever start making them again. Until then, my son and I have been having a blast with our pond prowler.
yep this is what I want to know also
@@chadschlichting3661 Im getting the quest angler. Really like the gray and black on it, and also bought a suzuki 2.5 outboard motor for it.
This is exactly what i wanted to know...i mainly fish back waters...there is a lake near me that can get rough...looks like this boat would handle it
I’ve been caught in the bay a couple times with some serious chop and took on some major military boat wake. It can handle triple what most people think. I’ve been pleasantly surprised!
Thank you for this video. I wish you could test a Bantum 3x
Maybe one day!
He Greyson, what length shaft do you suggest for a trolling motor on this boat?
Hi, how fast does that 46lb newport push that little boat? Great video thanks.
Thank you great video
Great video
Thank you!
How cute
lol she said your name like your a 5 year old getting in trouble 😂
That’s my wife 🤣
Would it be safe for a bigger guy, I’m around 300lbs and I’m interested in getting this boat for myself for fishing, i will be in choppy water and it will be used In sometime 15mph wind.
Absolutely! I take mine in the choppy bay often at similar wind speeds. I’ve seen two 300lb dudes on these before as well
What kind of motor is that?
I use a Newport vessels trolling motor
I’m old, 250 pounds, and my balance is terrible. I can’t even get in mine at a dock. I have to put it sideways on the ramp and step into it. If I tried doing what you did, I would’ve been wet several times.
I’m in your camp with bad balance but this has boosted my confidence. I will spend much more time on the water this coming year.. Thanks OP
Came for boat review, left crying and needing a wife
Haha they’re handy to have around🤣
But can I do back flips from side to side? Also I need to be able to juggle 3 kids, a wife, job and home life while fishing. How's it handle that? LoL
You can mos def do back splooshers from side to side. Check out my comment above....
I give you credit for being young, medium weight with good balance. But you’re misleading potential buyers. There is nothing stable about small light boats up 14’. I have a Pond Prowler 10 in which I recently went from a seated position to flipped into the water so fast I didn’t know what happened. When I finish replacing a seat that followed me into the water and was lost, I’m getting rid of it. I sincerely hope that other experienced boat owners will chime in on this issue. Standing in these small boats is more a testament to the persons balancing abilities than demonstrating boat stability.
Disagree
I do not believe you flipped this boat. I own a BR10E and have been in 15-20mh wind and its performed just fine.
I doubt you flipped the boat. I’ve had two similar types over the last 20 years and am now 58 years old and haven’t ever flipped. You might have fell out the boat but they are very stable for their size and should not be used in large bodies of water with waves and huge boat traffic. Probably just not the boat for you
I think you're the one that is very misleading others. I have had mine for 3 years now and never came close to flipping it. I have come close to falling out of it a few times. I'm 71 years old 6'2 and weigh 225. I have a four-horse mercury on the back and at full throttle i feel very safe. I built a deck on front and cast from it all the time and never feel unsafe. I would buy another one in a instant if i had a wife like Grayson Alexander has. My 17 yo grandson borrows mine all the time and feel very safe with him out on it.
I'm 6'3" 290 and would have to try REALLY hard to flip a prowler
