    I've got mine coming. I played a tourney with Scott in VA ealrier this year, 2 rounds. I remember him throwing the Berg, and chatting about it, saying "its really.......bla, bla...and leaves me with no comeback putt". I was sold at no comeback. No disrespect to SS with the Bla bla..It was a tourney and i wasn't ready for a sales pitch. Thing is, it wasn't a sales pitch, Scott was truly excited about the product. I'm very excited about getting his signature putter. I've had a problem with missing putts and having disc fly too far and having another putt to make. This disc may be the answer. Thanks for being "real", i hope to see ya soon. Hopefully on a Sunday.

    I'm loving the Berg specially on sidearm approaches. Such a straight flight with controllable distance and when hitting the ground it just puts brakes on so nicely. Even my K1 doesn't usually get funky groundplay.

    Added the Berg to my bag recently, and I absolutely love it for being aggressive. Pretty much guarantee it goes where I want... I swear I can't throw that thing over 200', which is great for all the reasons you stated! It's my go-to approach disc now, and the only reason I don't putt with it is because I love the Reko so much.

    Stokely. OG. I'm 68. Finally.... Someone who understands what I went through. My golf playing days were in the mid 70s. Then pick up disc golf again, after a 40+ year gap. When you said, a "165", I've still got some, and played with them at first. Then when I very first picked up one of the "new" golf discs and threw it, it was a four star WTF moment.

  • @MCGIESEKE

    I tried a Berg for awhile, fun disc. I found that because it's so low on speed and glide that it needs a bit of extra height to get where it needs to go. It does just plop down close to where it hits so that's a huge plus!

    I learned how to throw a side arm with the Berg, I have been on a soap box for years that the Berg is the best sidearm approach disc ever made.
    I will be supporting you by buying a berg from you!

    • @collinqs2541
      @collinqs2541 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a profile picture of a Zone…dude all approach discs are “the best”. The berg works for you and that’s great but it isn’t “the best sidearm approach disc ever made”. All stable/overstable approach discs work great depending on the person.

    • @brian6speed
      @brian6speed 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@collinqs2541 You bag a Berg and a Zone. A berg is a 1 speed for around 200 feet in. A Zone is a 4 speed us non-noobs can throw 300 feet plus. The berg is the best approach disc because it is stable and 1 speed. The zone is basically a midrange that you can use for approaches or when you need more stability than Berg.
      If you throw a Zone on a 200 foot shot you will miss being in the circle more than if throwing a berg if you have skill that is.

    Disc feel in the hands seems to just get more important with experience. You’ve got a lot of years left in you, Scott.

  • @ryansuter4424
    @ryansuter4424 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When comparing backhand and forehand throw i’m assuming that there’s going to be at least a slight difference between the amount of torque and velocity on a backhand and a forehand throw which will affect how the disc flies no matter what its rotation is.

  • @ryansuter4424
    @ryansuter4424 ปีที่แล้ว

    Caveat I throw my back hand with my left and forehand with my right. The same disc acts more stable with my back hand than with my forehand. I’m assuming I put more rotation and speed on my forehand throw. I think the two throws are different because one “natural feeling throw” may have less torque, spin and ot speed than the other.

  • @caseyblack8198
    @caseyblack8198 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love Scott’s videos and I hope he’s a contender in 2022, but I disagree that every backhand disc is a flick disc. Also, I throw a one finger flick with drivers and a two finger flick with everything else. Am I wrong or do some discs only work one way?

    • @ScottStokelyDG
      @ScottStokelyDG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grip will always be individual. 2 fingers are stronger than 1 but if you don't get a consistent release with 2 the priority goes to consistency over strength.

    I don't know any other American pro that throws this disc, gonna be fun to see what you can do with it. And btw it means "mountain" in Swedish and in Swedish it's pronounced like so: The "Ber" is pronounced like the "Ber" in Berry, and the "g" is pronounced like a "y", like for example in "yeast".

    • @brian6speed
      @brian6speed 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Sampson throws it. Eric Oakley has been testing it out. We Americans will pronounce it the american way.

    • @JonasLLarsson
      @JonasLLarsson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He pronounced the Stål ok for an american. But I don't know all the KastaPlast discs, so I was looking for a Stal. :-) Pronouncing it as Stall is actually rather close.

    talk to me about k2 v. k3. I have k1 and k2 versions, and totally vibe that k1 is isn’t for putting, but whats the gig with k3?. and man, on a windy day these things are slower than a 1 speed into a head wind, do you club up in that situation?

    • @ScottStokelyDG
      @ScottStokelyDG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plastic choice is completely up to you. I prefer the K3 for the tackier feel. As for the wind, I like how the Berg flies in the wind but if it’s really blowing I might switch to a more beveled putter.
