    I bought a STIG this summer and it quickly has become my favourite disc in my bag. Being a 6 5 -2 1 it's an understable midrange/fairway disc. But I do have an old noodle arm. It's great in the woods

    Stig and Lots are such excellent molds. Have to give them a shot.

    The Gote has become one of my favorite disc in my bag. Keeps the line you put it on without dying over like you said. Perfect disc for woods course.

    Y'all gotta try the Lots. It's definitely my favorite Kastaplast mold. SMOOTH!

    A little late to the party but the bottom of the rask makes it faster. It fits your birdie finger for forehands also

    K2 used to be a thing but Kastaplast go with K1 Soft now (though I've read some people say its not the same as K2 was).

    • @Iliyena87
      @Iliyena87 ปีที่แล้ว

      The persons making them just roll their eyes and exhales before saying; K2 is what we used to call the K1 Soft. And then they proceed to be sad about not saving a stack of 20 first run Bergs for themselves. ;P

    Vass (fairly recently passed with PDGA) will replace the Grym. Krut for Grym X. Guld/Gold is a continuation on the "overstable" metal named lineup. Stg is the "new" Kaxe Z. Moving manufacturing made them replace and update old molds.

    • @reidausband9392

    Currently putting with Rekos and bagging the Stal, Svea, Falk and Stig. Stal sees the least use since I like flat discs but I keep it in for overhand shots. The others are mostly in my bag for touch and shaped shots. Love the plastic!

    The purpose of the double rim on the rask is so the disc is more aerodynamic I think
    Not really a kasta guy, but this list seems super valid

    Cant believe Reko and Berg are both so low. Reko is very stable, but unlike Envy flies without any fade. It has just perfect amount of stability, so it flies straight from 150ft to 300ft. Plus perfect shape. And Berg is, well, Berg.

  • @phillipg7910
    @phillipg7910 ปีที่แล้ว

    I putt with the Berg and since then stopped missing right. The thumb on top helps so much with the direction you release the disc at - now I am finally able to throw the disc straigt at the basket and if I miss it is either low or high. It has become my favourite disc and I have thrown incredible upshots with it, backhand and forehand. The Guld is a very straight far flying disc. It is similar to a straight destroyer but flies a little bit farhter for me. I would not call it overstable, but definatly not flippy for my 380 feet armspeed.

  • @noahburchett4702
    @noahburchett4702 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Based off what I was told from one of the prominent Kastaplast sponsored pros, the new “Vass” that will be coming out soon is going to be what the Grym used to be

  • @adizzmal
    @adizzmal ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love the Kaxe Z for forehead. The ones I have are understable and flip up to fly pretty straight.

  • @detectablethickness
    @detectablethickness ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’ve been using the Falk and Lots as my 2 primary drivers all year. Just perfectly complimentary discs to cover most shot shapes. I keep a Glo Raptor on hand if I need more stability, but the Kasta drivers are absolute workhorses.

    k1 Soft Svea is one of the coolest discs in my bag. just the softest little movement to the right if you throw it flat, and glides for days into a soft little hovercraft landing. Its incredible.

    the rask "ring" as you call it is if i remmeber correctly supposed to reduce drag on the disc, unsure how well it works tho

    • @hugolundin9946
      @hugolundin9946 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes drag reduction and very useful support for forehands.

  • @Iliyena87
    @Iliyena87 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Rask is misunderstood, that extra rim is adding speed, if affects the air below the plate, the outer rim gets the feel/thickness of a 10 speed. I got a very stable Rask Z, its to much disc for me but its great for skip-approaces if you like those. Hard to get over 300' for sure but very cool to succed in a woodsy-flex!

  • @ianlisowski7001
    @ianlisowski7001 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think that the Krut is supposed to be the replacement for the Grym and Grym X. I have a first run Krut and find it to be much more understable than the numbers suggest (more like a destroyer or DD3).
    As for the Kaxe and Kaxe Z, i believe the Stig is supposed to be the replacement for them, somewhere in between for stability.
    Great tier list as per usual fellas!

    • @hugolundin9946
      @hugolundin9946 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe that the Guld 13 5 -0.5 3 is the replacement for Grym X 12 5 -1 3 and the Krut 12 4 0 4 is just a new one. Dont know if the upcoming Vass vill be the replacement for the Grym 13 5 -2 2.
      The Stig will be a understable option and the Kaxe (retooled) has been approved and hopefully wil be as stable as on first released.

  • @Munchylego
    @Munchylego ปีที่แล้ว

    I agree with your take on the Jårn. Have you tried a Wild Discs Angler? Bit of a different shape as a 4-speed overstable approach disc, but such a good reliable approach disc!

  • @House13XIII
    @House13XIII ปีที่แล้ว +1

    K2 is K1 Soft. Just didn’t make sense in their lineup to have the K1 be harder than K2, with K3 being the most firm; so K2 became K1 Soft 😎

    I actually like the berg - but don’t love it. I prefer it in K3 plastic for touchy upshots. And i really like the kastaplast lots (9,5,-1,2). Flies like a beat-in thunderbird. 👍

    The Svea and Gote were incredible for me when I bagged them. I lost my Gote and ended up replacing my Svea with the TSA Mana but everything above those discs up through the drivers were way more flippy than I'd have liked, unfortunately. I used to putt with the Reko, as well, but recently replaced that too. Reko X is the only one I still bag and that's purely as a throwing putter.

  • @ChayseGrizzell
    @ChayseGrizzell ปีที่แล้ว

    Your comments are the Jarn are intriguing. I've bagged the same 4 claw zone since it first released and haven't tried anything else... It's like I'm afraid something else could take it's place. I'm not ready for that.

    Im putting the k3 rekos..love them..also have 2 bergs which fills a purpose.. svea as a super flippy mid.. 4x kaxe z since out or production.. love that disc.. falk which is really flippy.. removed the Lots and replaced it with the Volt.. also tried the Grym, Kaxe and different plastics of all these discs..

    Hands down, the best plastic available. K1 and K3 wont let you down when its wet, cold, hot n sticky, or super dry. My Berg, Reko,Jarn, Stahl, GrymX, and Rask are irreplaceable... if they made a Pig and a Tern, Id be done with Innova for good.

  • @drewmcdowell1622

    K1 Soft Berg putting all the way! K1 Göte for floaty low overhead putts and short easy straight-ish drives/mids. Göte is such a low effort disc for the distance and accuracy you get out of it. I keep a Reko for some reason im sure.

  • @johnhollister2191
    @johnhollister2191 ปีที่แล้ว

    I find that the Rask is very dependent on the run. Some are flat as a board and are about as unthrowable as a Tilt for me but I keep a Rask Z in my bag which is less stable and I use as a utility disc in the woods. You can put it on a forehand flex line and it does a beautiful S turn (yes I also use it for grenade and thumbers). It is definitely a get out of jail free disc (yes there is a run that has that stamp on it).

    Iceberg tv just reviewed some Prodiscus (FINALLY someone did) and I was wondering if you'd be curious to do the same? I absolutely love some of their molds and their work with charity events in Finland but hate how bad they are at marketing/hyping up their discs 😬

      That Rask inner circle affects the speed and helps to keep the rim narrower so it feels like a slower disc. Honestly I'd call it a 12 speed and not a 14. Flys straight a good long ways before dumping hard and skips like a champ. Or it will flip up and glide before dumping. Such a misunderstood disc.
