    The custom actions is, no joke, PERFECT timing for my game - tonight was going to be my night to create functions for all my enemy object pool customizations, but now it's a lot easier thanks to this update! Insanely good timing. Wow.

    very impressive! custom actions is a huge boon to OOP and instance-relative effects, which i felt was one of the harder things to manage in event sheets

    Custom actions, Signals and Functions... very useful. But Animation editor still cause freeze / stop when try closing.

    I love the improvements on the path finding behavior one major improvement would be to add path, finding filters based on the object like comparing variables when setting obstacles this would prevent things like zombie overlap in hoards there currently is no way to make an object avoid hitting another of itself

    I was trying to recreate Etrian Odyssey-styled dungeon crawling in some fashion, so that Pathfinding Group feature might make it easier to handle enemies attempting to swarm the player, without making them obstacles to one another... I'm excited for possibly fewer headaches x)

    Hello I have a suggestion for a new behavior- AI/NPC behavior (I don't know what to call it ) it is a tool to help with making enemies move and interact easyer it works a little bit like the path find behavior but it's different hear are some of the settings you can change on it
    Movement type- move to object/player or
    Movement type-walk aimlessly with is a set distance from object/original position
    Collision-solid/custom
    All of the movement speed stuff like acceleration
    Mode- 8direction/4 direction
    Rotate object- yes/no
    Jump hight(platform mode)
    Search (walks around a set area looking for a object)
    Activation range (the range in pixels that a object need to be within near the ai object to activate it)
    Team notification (upon the ai object has seen or is moving to the object via a path it will notify near by ai objects makeing them move to the object also)(need to have can be notified on) (only works if looking for the same object)
    Can be notified (if this ai object can be told by other ai objects within a set range the location of their target)
    Priority(a list of objects with have a set priority the object at the top is top priority and the one at the bottom would be done last) (can be changed in the event sheet)
    This is just a idea

    I believe the natural follow-up for custom actions is custom conditions, which should allow for (1) custom picking, (2) raising a trigger (OnSomethingHappened) once the condition becomes true (or false), and (3) querying the value of the condition in expressions. It's really a pain to have to use the observer pattern in JavaScript to define custom events/conditions and not have it integrate with event sheet conditions.

    I am in the process of building a level to file, first person based 3-d feature builder in construct 3 that resembles garry's mod style position and placement where I can create, modify dimensions and texture constructs 3-d objects. After I polish it I will begin a click and drag mesh distortion tool with setups for cylinders for trees, domes for rocks ect. I strongly feel that the layout editor needs a first person view to use the pseudo 3-d to it's best.
    The end game for this project is so that people can make things like HD Duke Nukem and Doom style games and not switch over to another development environment PURELY for a better level design view and control.
    I suppose I may as well sell this thing as a plug-in on the store when finished until we get an option for the layout editor view and control to better suit 3-d.

      I also think you should make a team integration feature by using your multiplayer feature inside of your editor. This would allow you to encourage teams getting one subscription per member instead of me making a game where everyone connects to make a game where the only person buying a subscription is me... just a thought.

    I have loved Construct, spent years on C2 and C3. I always wanted more performance and realtime lighting but was afraid of making the jump to Unity or Unreal. In retrospect I regret because neither Unity nor Unreal is much harder to learn than Construct but in the end you have access to so much more and can create gaming experiences far far superior. I just wished I hadn't boxed myself like I did. I still love Construct but if you are serious about gamedev you gotta jump to something more beefy.

    Related to the audio: the quality is pretty low, the audio gets distorted easily when you are talking a tiny bit louder. I would highly recommend a better setup. A little investment can go a long way for these videos.

    Looks neat especially the pathfinding. I'm still using Clickteam Fusion 2.5 and not Construct 3. Due to the fact I can buy that and own it and I don't have to rent it month or year by year. If you only had a one off payment option I would certainly have bought it.

      There is GDevelop, but the "subscription" is a joke and easily bypassable, since the only limit is that you cannot remove the logo, and automatic builds are limited to max 2 per day, but manual builds are free forever. Also the engine itself is MIT licensed, meaning that you actually own your code, so you can edit your game file to remove the logo without subscribing, and no legal troubles.
