Visual proof of the hip placement is fantastic! The pens work wonders!
OMG! Ive been trying this for 8 months and could not for the life of me get this dam movement thinking I was weak. ONE try and wala!!!!
Honestly, I‘m really amazed by the quality of your videos!
Really underrated teacher. 👍
Wow, thank you!
Lifting the toes for press was difficult for me also. Leaning enough in front goes a long way to do this as you've presented. Mobility definitely helps also.
Yes the 'Rites of Passage' for the Press Handstand
Paul, you did very well describing & teaching this. It was very clear, easy to understand. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can't explain it better! Really helpful, can't wait to try all this out and understand the weight shift in my body!
Glad it was helpful!
The best explanation I have heard ! Thank's man
Thank you !
i think your explanations are the clearest and best i've ever seen on youtube and for sure you are one of the best coach ever.
Wow, thanks!
this pen trick is amazing test to evaluate the good form. Thanks
Great to hear! Was holding the white board marker as I was thinking how to explain it better
THIS IS QUALITY CONTENT! Thank you very much! You got a new sub. :)
Awesome! Thank you
Fantastic explanation as always. Good job!
Thank you 🙏
One of the best videos i've seen, short and simple, but so effective 👍
Glad you think so!
Much needed video in my current state of training. Appreciate it greatly, thank you so much sir!
So much info in one place….. Gad dayum! I’ll be watching this for weeks
Great to hear! Thanks
Great video Paul. Thoroughly appreciate the timing of you posting this one following my question the other day
Yeah it’s such a common question, explaining the concept is tricky
Paul, you are an amazing teacher!
Thank you ! Great to hear
My wrists hurt too much in that position
Slowly condition the wrists with more volume but less intense positions, work on general upper body mobility and it’s also worth trying low P Bars (parallettes)
Oh man getting my feet up has been a challenge for the Handstand.. I can get my feet up for the headstand easily but the Handstand has been challenging.. tk you for the tips
How is it even possible to keep talking while showing the moves without forcing the voice ? 😳
Easy
Just record the voice separately and add to the video
Great content very useful
Great video! Thank you!
Great to hear!
Please Please Please keep up with these amazing videos
Thank you ! I plan to
What exercises do I do to do this?
Thanks!
Thank you 🙏 much appreciated
thanks
Thank you
Paul, I've been working on my flexibility and loading weight onto my hands for handstands, pike pushups, etc. When I try to press all of my weight onto my hands and lift off my feet like in the PTH, I have a shooting pain in my left trap. It doesn't feel deep like in my bone or really muscle, almost like its right under the surface of my skin. Any idea why that is the case? Possibly a nerve? Thanks

Does trying this with parallettes work as well?
Coach that's a nice explanation, it applies to every freestanding skill, when you record yourself you understand that your hips should be on top of your hands to succeed.
Yes 100% and its cool to look at different skills and see the similarities
What are some benchmarks/milestones with mobility to know that you have enough to do the press to handstand? (just wondering how to identify a bottleneck)
Palms to floor standing forward fold will makes things easier, but adding strength in the upper back and shoulders at the same time will give you lots of options
I tried leaning forward into crow pose and fell over.
Move slowly and hold just before you fall. Video from the side to self critique the position and give it time to condition
You are blessed not to have too long legs.
you should have mentioned that high hamstring flexibility is needed first, you can see @ 3:47, most people cant even touch the the ground with their finger.
I dont have enough flexibility😢
