    Your consistency and control is insane
    You're more calm in a handstand than I am standing up on my feet

    Have watched many of your traing topics, enjoy them, and put the knowledge into my training. This teaching moment has been especially helpful as I am working on my handstand training. Slow going on the balance part but work at it 5 days per week. Keep up the good work Paul.

    I really like the concept of the 'balance window'. Quite helpful in thinking about what I should be working to improve.

      This was the only decent thing in the video. Besides that he just does not stop talking and adds zero sense.

    Most effective video for beginners to get the technique of balancing❤

    Very often I seem to stand in balance but it feels as if I under balance leading to some small movements because I'm panicking and then falling over. It is quite hard to get the body awareness to figure this out, especially when strength is a factor therfore time upside down is pretty limited...
    Your approach (consciously expanding the balance window) is still the best I've seen so far. Thanks!

    Im struggling with handstand for a year already 😭 I will definitely try your tips, I think I got overbalance already but I have problems with underbalance. My problem is that I don't like training chest to wall but I guess I have to include that as well. Thanks for the video

    I sometimes go into the one leg up and the other leg bent to try and hold my balance but I always seem to fall over. I'm definitely going to try these tips out today. Thank you so much for this video. 🙏

    Hi Paul. Thanks to your channel. I'm making great progress thanks to you, from a couple of seconds occasional handstand to 10-15 seconds and feeling lighter on the hands. Who said you cant teach an old dog at 60 new tricks. Still working on the consistency and will start to move away from the wall soon. Thank you. Your teaching method is great the explanation of a balance window of which we need to increase the size touched home with me. I do have a question though. I'm using the toe & heel pull to great success but was wondering could you cover in a bit more detail how and WHY these work as good exercises ? For under balance that I suffer a lot from it seems counter intuative to move shoulders forward, it works but how and why ? Thanks Phill

      That’s great to hear. Yes the Heel Pull and Toe Pull Drills can be confusing plus there are different ways of doing them. I’ll definitely be covering them again and again as they are so important

    Thanks so much Paul, another fantastic tutorial. I find correcting my over balance really hard, my legs fly back so far I can't correct my banana arch and get straight again

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah give it time and very slowly perform the over balance drills. It’s easy to whip the legs or create momentum

    Hi Paul, I love this been trying it for a long time. Do you bend your arms when you push shoulders towards the wall when getting out of under balance ?

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can, bending the arms will help pull you out of under balance. But uses a bit more strength and make sure you reset back to straight arms when you reach the wall or handstand

    I’ve long heard the wall “IS NOT” your friend. Better to face the wall and work your handstand that way. Do you agree or disagree? I’m frustrated at taking so long to master this. I’ve worked my core and followed you for a good long time. How many years? Or am I terminally challenged? Help!

      If you focus on Chest to Wall holds for conditioning (45-60s), Heel Pull for reps then holds, Same for Toe Pulls consistently for 3-6 months you should be able to handstand. Obviously some people learn quicker and some slower but with good quality reps it should all come together

    • @meialua5178
      @meialua5178 ปีที่แล้ว

      It mostly lies on the shoulders, when you feel like you're falling backwards you can push down with the palm of your hands and almost try to pull your hands in the direction of your palms, when you do that, your hands will stay rooted but your shoulder will go forwards

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lots of chest to wall holds to build conditioning and strength then add more Toe Pull Drills like in the video
