Keep in mind that if you're in burnout, you have 4 more frames of blockstun. Instead of -3, Jaime will be +1 on block after 5HP. This means a 4F button will trade, a throw will lose (5F startup), and you can only super reversal without Drive meter. Jaime is one of the characters it's really bad to be in burnout against-especially without 1 bar of Super, or if your character's Lv1 isn't invulnerable. Even then, you don't want to have to risk it, but it's better than no options at all.

Drive Rush 5HP has always been annoying for me. Checking it with any button can be really hard unless you predict it. On Zangief specifically, you can buffer the early inputs for L SPD, then just finish the 360 on reaction to punish it, since the grabbox is so huge.

This is actually awesome, looked this up because I fought a Jamie in Battle Hub last night who spammed this exact thing and I (Marisa) felt pretty powerless to stop it since she doesn't have any good wake-up options. Beat me the first match but I won the next two after switching to Blanka. Very informative stuff!

the only thing that you have to do against this move is take back your turn. The move is not plus and it doesn't cause a space trap where if you tried to press your fastest button you'd whiff. The only thing to worry about is if an advance Jamie player uses this to perfect parry you which is annoying. This is coming from someone is almost diamond 4 with Jamie.

Just jab and cancel to dp for cammy, ryu has better safe move by jab cancel to hashogeki, jamie will got counter hit juggle. Or with ken do jab and cancel to light jinrai

good video. they sometimes sneakily use it after drive rush which causes all button presses to be punished except reversals. my auto piloting ass would forget about the plus frames that DR adds.

Some people try to frame trap, space trap or even grab when they are plus so just block and observe. One thing I've learned about this game is try not to overthink.
