@@Chris_F If I had to pick one, I'd like to improve my mixups more, and deal w/ fast mixupy characters like Juri! On defense, blocking on wakeup helps a ton, but on offense, putting all my options together and drawing from them on the fly is a weakness of mine

Would you ever consider possibly breaking down a few matches, whether be your own or of someone else's, and pointing when adaptations were made during a set? To give a specific reference, I think that there was a moment during your stream last night where your Guile played a set against a Ryu, and afterwards, you went over the adaptations and adjustments that you made during the set, and why you did them.
Very good video ! However, unless you did it previously, don't you think you should also teach the preemptive strike ? Because footsies works a little bit like a rock paper scissor. And I feel not talking about preemptive strike is like missing a piece of the trilemma. But very great video ^^

Hey Chris, appreciate the video and wanted to bring up a question/clarification. When going for whiff punishes, we are most commonly looking to react to ANY animation from the opponent as opposed to identifying the specific attack, correct? The idea being we're taking the bet that we know what poke they are going for? I feel like this is often an unclarified type of reaction that is unspoken when we talk about "reacting" to some things, and it may confuse or discourage new players trying to react only once they visually confirm what was thrown out. Or im just bad and ya'll are just nuts reacting to shit lol
It really depends. Reacting to something slow like a whiffed sweep is definitely possible on reaction. Other moves, like a MP or cr MK is usually done more on reaction to general movement - this is why some opponents whiff lights outside of throw range because it can throw off your reaction!

BTW guys don't automatically poke back against characters like Marisa or Akuma, who have lots of natural spacing traps.
Def go into training mode and see where you can push against those traps - delayed attacks are going to be helpful here
