The fascinating thing about this audio is all the bits that are instantly recognizable, yet the video is way longer than the actual ride (similar to the Haunted Mansion soundtrack elsewhere on this channel). I imagine that the various parts must play in a loop as the boat passes by each scene with some kind of transition to tie them into a seamless audio track. As a ride passenger, you never really get to hear the entire performance. Marvelous!
I was playing Battlefield 1 yesterday, and I swear I could smell the trenches, as well as the fires around me....I think it has to do with how sunken in with the material we are focusing on. We begin to immerse ourselves into it.
I've heard something about sensory memory like for example pulling up a picture of crayons on your phone and you can experience the smell of crayons because you know it so well already :) Pretty dang cool :)

5:50 is an absolutely fantastic part when the french horn, flute, and ambient sounds really just make you feel like you're in the dark dankness of a cave. Disney is absolutely masterful at mixing, control of the ambiance, and my one of my favorite things, the smell.

Story time! I was once on this ride with a friend who it was their first time going to Disney and told him that there’s two normal drops at the beginning and one REALLY BIG drop at the end (which is a big ‘ol lie) and told him that there was this weird unspoken rule that on that “last drop” no one screamed. So we got to the end and we were climbing the hill and this guy was *bracing himself* he was so scared that we were gonna drop and have a huge collision at the end. Luckily he didn’t hold a grudge and took the joke well but I ended up feeling really bad XD
all through being stuck at home I've been listening to this, its gotten to the point I memorized every line and when each line is said. going insane? no. not at all.

This attraction is amazing not only because of the delightful script, but the wonderful craftsmanship throughout is terrific! The scenes are perfect! The ambiance created is flawless! I think Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland version) is the finest ride-through experience that has ever been created! Truly, this is the masterpiece. And consider that it’s 50 years old, yet just as fresh as if it opened today. You’ve probably guessed that it’s my favorite, and it is. But many more adventures await that take a close second. I still don’t know why they have to remove the redhead scene. We can have pirates destroying a town, alcohol and villainy but not women being sold off? People who go on this attraction know that pirates are like this and NOBODY complained. But if they must change the scene a little bit then why not add the red head right at the end of the attraction and keep the auction scene. Add her to the scene when the pirates shoot canons at each other. She could be tough now with a gun and all of the pirates are shocked, asking her to help them fight against one another. She went from a scared women being sold off to now a tough pirate with some serious skills. The pirates would ask her how the heck she got out of that auction. It would not only provide humor but also mirror Elizabeth swan from the films. Going from a scared women to a tough pirate leader. I think that would be a very good message to women in a soft way. Never give up to be who you are and stay strong. Fight for yourself.

The very beginning of the ride that is like the bayou has always gave me chills since I was a little boy. I love the fireflies. The crickets in this audio are too loud.

The very beginning of the ride that is like the bayou has always gave me chills since I was a little boy. I love the fireflies. The crickets in this audio are too loud.

I love pirates of the Caribbean one of my favorite rides at Disneyland
I love how the films were so successful they even influenced the ride it was based on. Davy Jones, Blackbeard, Barbosa, and Jack Sparrow all reprised by the actors.
I just love this...it makes me feel like I'm on the ride right now...
