This is not specific to WDW but I absolutely love how music can instantly transport you to a time and place, a memory, and include all the feelings and emotions that go along with it! It's been a long 3+ years since my family last visited WDW but we look forward to our next trip!
Even if this isn’t a music only track, the effects give so much atmosphere to this recording. It's probably my nostalgia but this is probably one of my favorite rides. Hearing this video now with more of Bruce Broughton's score makes me wish for an expanded track with out effects because hearing something from the man who composed Silverado is always great to hear.
one of the best rides at disney world. i’ve been listening to this sound track for years now! this ride played a big part in my interest in history as a kid.
I listen to this often when I'm missing Epcot. Spaceship Earth has been my favorite since my first trip at 7. I was just in awe of it and I still am at 40. Thank you for this.
Spaceship Earth, a ride boring to kids but the older you are the more fun you have on it. I can tell you first hand thats how Ive reacted to it over the ages. Use to be my least favorite, now one of those rides I have to go on when I am there.
My favorite part of the soundtrack (descending backwards while you answer the questions on the screen) is pretty much impossible to find in terms of clean source material, but you got as close as you could. Excellent.
I really don’t want this version of the ride to be refurbished. I could just smell this amazing spaceship earth mechanic smell and burning of Rome that I want to smell again and again
Spaceship Earth do be the goat tho. It's from a time where imagineers could be creative and not have execs breathing down their necks asking for everything to have IP
Was just there this past weekend. Garden festival, Dame Judi Dench multiple times, and an endless supply of booze. Other than the masks, another great Disney outing.

This brings back so many memories of when I was little, my sister and I use to go on this ride and have so much fun (we were history buffs, so we thoroughly enjoyed the ride because of the history aspect to it), whenever the picture zone came up, we always tried to make the most funny faces so that way we could have a laugh at the ending video. Ahhh, the memories ;w;
Listening to this audio, it makes me sad because of how awful today's view of the future is. Back when this ride was first created, everybody was hopeful about the future, we were innovating because we were EXCITED about it. Nowadays, everybody's either too busy being offended or depressed about the future to want to see it. Really makes me sad that we've grown so pessimistic in recent years...
I want to believe that this is just the pessimism that comes with age. You can never see the world through the eyes you had when you were 10 and it was all ahead of you......to screw up thoroughly.
I disagree completely. We now live in the best age that’s ever been. It certainly has its challenges like any age but they are ones that I think we can handle and grow further from.
@@markwitt7983 I appreciate your thoughts Mark. It is kind of like having children.... each chapter is special. With my parents, when we were younger, we had many wonderful memories. Some of the best times. Then my mom got cancer and suffered for a long time. Now when we look back, we see different chapters of life that were better than others. I think that there are some certain chapters from Epcot that people miss. That's okay and I just look forward to the future... Hopefully making some more great memories. Nevertheless I still miss some chapters from the past. 😊
Funny story, I didn't know that there was a ride in the Epcot ball at first. But I found out on during one of my trips there. But I don't remember exactly when that was.
There appears to be large chunks missing from when I was a kid. They used to have a massive outer space shot and more future stuff. Not sure where it all went. Now it is just dark at the end.
Recovering from foot and tendon reconstruction surgery in my right foot, that I got on December 28th. We are heading back to the 70s terminal era where you had your little control terminal (your phone) and you connect to the master terminal (The cloud) where your terminal can't do much back then it was memory issues. They had less memory then the Commodore 64. The big business mindset never left it as that's all they ever did. One good way to see this is look up Tron. Tron is absolutely AMAZING how they nailed the computer before most people even had one.
*_i love living bonanza land!_* now that _thats_ outa my system the most powerful part of the ride, the most tactile auditory peice, 11:06, it perfectly encapsulates the current moment
It's always been missing the drama and mystique of the Irons version. And the descent is a total crap out joke. That said, Dame Judi did a nice job. I'm looking forward to seeing who narrates next.
10:11 to 10:38 I must be the only one who loved that part of the song but that is not included in the original score. So much background noise and only lasts for a couple of seconds.
The push to mobile phones have ruined the computer industry. Since Win 7 there is almost no software. I grew up doing computers since the Commodore and what makes computers work is when there is a stable OS and a software industry. The 80s and 90s had it. Commodore was way ahead of everybody else. I never had an Amiga but it had full CD sound and 32 bit graphics while Apple was still using PC speakers and so was IBM though they were about to come out with the Adlib and then Creative SB16 OPLM chip.

Like your telephone at home do you complain and wish it did this or that? No of course not. The telephone either connects or it doesn't. You just accept it comes with what it has. That's the mentality of smartphone users it's your landline you carry with you. I have nothing against that. I am against that being our only choice.
This unfortunately is going ot make it very difficult toupdate Spaceship Earth as it's all about phones and Metro UI now which won't be appealing in a ride. The word 'Metro' means city punks as that's what it's mainly catered to. People too poor or stupid or both to use a computer even a junko. Computers are actually really hard to find now compared to the XP era unless your willing to pay over a grand to make it do anything more then basic surfing. That's how it was in the 80s.
