When an orchestra is formed by fine and excellent musicians, besides all of them soloists as we have certified during COVID-19 crisis, we can enjoy a performance like this: pure and clean sound which is a great pleasure, correct conduction and excellent filming and recording. And Schubert very classic but romantic though. Thank you HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie. Viel Danke!!
Orozco-Estrada really lives all the music that he directs. Quite intensively as one can see by his gestures and facial expressions. In this way (and other) he is quite unique in the world I think.

A marvellous symphony and fantastic performance. The second and third movements might have echoes of Haydn, but the first and especially the last movements are pure, unique Schubert. Definitely foreshadowing of his Great C Major Symphony in the finale
This conductor is really exceptional, what a lively and moving rendition ! In the same channel, check also his Bruch's violin concerto with a sublime Hilary Hahn... breathtaking.
A tuneful but nervous symphony, with Schubert's gift for lyricism but also for his sudden shifts from p. to f. Another excellent performance by the FRSO however, making it certainly worth hearing.
Wonderful! It's been too long since you've posted one of your concerts and what a lovely program of lieder and symphonies. I've posted this observation many times but your woodwinds are amazing both as individual soloists and as a harmonized unit. It's interesting to see the clarinets and bassoons sitting opposite the way you usually find them with the bassoons on the conductor's right and the clarinets on the left.
Thank you very much for your friendly words! I'm one of the bassoonists of the orchestra. We chose to change sides with the clarinets in order to sit closer to the cello and bass sections which helped a lot.
Thank you for replying. Keeping the darker tones of the orchestra together is a really interesting idea. I've seen some innovative seating arrangements for Schubert's symphonies over the years. Ivan Fischer had the winds sitting in front of the strings for a performance of the 8th (the Great not the Unfinished) with the Berlin Philharmonic earlier this year and the clarity of the playing was superb. The winds carry so much of Schubert's melodies that it was inspired choice. Maybe Maestro Orozco-Estrada might give it some thought. In any event, as a clarinet player, I think your wind section is first-class. Thanks again for the insight and as always, for the beautiful music and hours of enjoyment.
@@Dan-vr3ie Please also pass complements to your clarinetist who presents the first theme of the fist movement joyfully and in an extraordinarily facile way!

Schubert's 3rd is one of the worst symphonies ever written! After a passable 1st mvt., the remaining mvts. are terribly repetitious , banal and silly. As it progresses, it gets worse and worse as the finale gets increasingly more bogged down in an ants-in-the-pants 4 note bludgeon. This musical humiliation by the composer of 3 of the greatest string quartets ever written, #'s 13,14,15.
Obviously everyone is entitled to their own view but this has always been my favourite Schubert symphony. I adore the trio of the scherzo - though I am a bassoonist which helps!
My favorite young conductor out there right now
This Symphony was written in 1815, a few months after Schubert's eighteenth birthday. That is baffling!
This symphony, full of beauty, inocense and freshness, speaks right to my heart!
exactly what I was thinking. You can almost see a happy young Schubert composing this :)

The most grateful and sympathetic conductor I have ever seen.

Fantastica orchestra e suono perfetto.
Schubert composed this when he was 18. Astounding!

Alondra de la Parra is as well very expressive. Maybe the "latin seasoning" is an important factor 😀
Such fine woodwind playing !!!!
I am astonished beyond the fact that this was written during Schubert's 18th bday. We are also playing this for my Symphony orchestra.
I love this orchestra😂

The second movement is brilliant, and is a well known or often played movement, beautiful. Schubert was a kid when he wrote this.

Such an amazingly delightful master piece that is as great as many other greatest pieces!

Nicht schlecht.

Such a charming symphony, reminds me a little of Beethoven and Mozart, of course. And, as always played with panache and unerstanding.
Maybe a little more of Mozart, since this was one of Schubert's earlier pieces. Of course, he really went toward Beethoven in his later ones,
Agreed. And I particularly love the first theme as presented exceptionally well by the clarinetist.
Sounds much more like Haydn to me, especially the slow movement.
Sounds ripped from them.
Yes this sounds like Mozart at first to me but let me second guess if it’s Beethoven the first time I heard it on the radio just yesterday!

OE is exceptional in Schubert, Mendelssohn, Dvorak and others, some of whom I need to hear. But he's been excellent on what I've heard thus far.

Schubert & Mozart should have been brothers. Both of them wrote over 600 works each and each began at such an early age.
