      Hybrid turbo upgrades and necessary bolt ons needed, Hybrid turbo vs Hybrid turbo for X amount of hp/tq, max hp/tq for stock turbo, best motor oil to use for various stages of mods, 1&2 step colder plugs and their proper applications, what stage or hp/tq do you recommend TCU tunes, what wheels do you recommend for weight savings, what suspension mods do you recommend for street racing, headlight upgrades, Haldex servicing intervals and oil recommendations, How much Hp/tq can the OEM Airbox handle, intercoolers and is IROZ better than the rest, is the IROZ or JDY oil pan upgrade really necessary, how much hp/tq can the OEM RS3 transmission handle, DCT clutch upgrades at what hp/tq level, Is the IROZ flywheel necessary??? What are your opinions on CTS Turbo products vs Unitronic, Catted Downpipes vs Non Catted and what brand do you recommend?

    One thing that has me a little nervous about WMI kits is ensuring there is an equal allocation of function/effect across all cylinders. How well do these injectors atomize, and what location is best for integration to ensure appropriate mix before it hits the cylinders.
    I know this is a RS3, and I drive a G80CXD, but similar risks across any platform, and IM considering building out an RS3 as well. So Im appreciating these vids.

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Spraying 6-8 inches before the throttle body gives you optimal atomisation across all 5 cylinders. When we see setups spraying after the throttle body we notice more knock corrections in cylinder 5 which tells us that all 5 cylinders are not getting an even mixture

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Running pure methanol doesn’t have many gains over running 50:50. I’ve done a lot of tests on this. Pure meth does not cool as well as 50:50. The difference is negligible power wise. Meth is highly flammable and burns invisible, so I don’t like advising people to run pure methanol. Especially on road cars! Some people run pure methanol as they’ve ran out of injector on their car so they use it to add more fuel to the car.

    I have a 2018 TTRS as my daily and had a generic stage 1+tune with absolutely mental bangs that sounded incredible.
    Took it for a stage 2 map at MRC and told them I wanted to keep the short but super loud pops and bangs wen exhaust open(or in dynamic) and they confirmed possible.
    Wen picking up car and driving it home the pops and bangs were so soft I felt truly gutted.
    Called them up the next day and they basically said we only use oem pops and bangs and nothing harder than this. I asked them why and they said because of fuel consumption.
    I said I don’t care about fuel consumption and asked to have the more aggressive pops & bangs but they confirmed they would not give me what I wanted.
    Cars drives great but doesn’t feel much if any quicker than the stage 1+ I had.
    But really more gutted about the pops being so tame now.
    Would bring it to you but I live in devon
    I own my own garage by the way but not a specialist on these.

      I just want super loud bangs unlike most maps. Not sure why they were so loud before and not now? Could this have something to do with the turbo wastegate now being “more closed” so less noisy? Or the exhaust flaps not opening fully? Felt like flames we’re coming out before.

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The WMI sprays in all maps, but the ECU does not allow map 4 to be used if the WMI is not spraying. We monitor the combustion process in all maps and if it is not optimal, it will kick you out of the map. This goes for all maps.
      Map 3 for example is for 99 octane, if you use 97 or 95 octane it will kick you out of map 3.

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ethanol runs a lot cooler, but an e20/25 mix is pretty low so it would still be pretty beneficial. I would imagine you are running that low of a mix as you have either ran out of injector or fuel pump flow. In which case you would benefit from meth as it is another fuel source for the engine so will allow you to run a tiny bit more boost and definitely more ignition. But remember to have failsafes in place!

    Water has a higher octane than methanol as it doesn’t ignite & absorbs more heat by volume than methanol but it evaporates a LOT slower than methanol hence why you use methanol

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A few points here that I didn’t actually speak about in the video about why we use 50:50 water methanol.
      You are correct, waters octane content is infinite. Because it can not ignite. However keep in mind as water does not ignite it cannot be used as an energy source inside the cylinder, you are now filling the cylinder with something that can not make any energy. All the water can do is is raise the effective octane level inside the cylinder via the thermodynamic process that takes place. With methanol, as it is a fuel that has a higher octane content it can create energy :)
      Water can also freeze in cold climates which would be far from ideal to run in a car.

    • @Boostaddicts_YT
      @Boostaddicts_YT ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InfinitPerformance that’s right tho pure water will allow for more ignition, plus run leaner with more boost than with methanol but your need a system with multiple smaller nozzles & failsafe to run it in those conditions not something I’d be doing on AEM’s basic nozzle options and push fits. 👍🏻

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Boostaddicts_YTprecisely :) for that type of port meth setup I’d be looking into a different setup with AN fittings! Port meth injection does have less of a cooling effect though and usually the applications for port meth injection are when people need more fuelling! Tuning for pure water is also extremely tricky which I have seen very few master, as yes you get to increase the ignition but again you need to play with lambda to get more power out of the car.
