    • @tomstrojnik
      @tomstrojnik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      That's a great tutorial idea, will put it down on my to do list! Basically what I do is a fast approach to my subject - get as close as possible and use momentum to bounce yourself away.. you are using all of the stick.. but mostly you yaw & roll in the opposite direction (at the exact moment when you are the closest to your subject).. i hope it makes sense :)

    Hey Tom, all good tips. I've found that sustained backwards flying with FPV, for me, is next to impossible. A quick circle movement is fairly simple but to come along side the vehicle and then transition to the front angle and flying backwards is very difficult for me. As I accelerate backwards the rear motors spin up the the quad always tilts up and you loose the subject in the frame. That's where I found the new DJI system with camera tilt capability would seems to compensate for this. I don't have that 'new' quad but wondered if you'd tried that side to front backwards tracking with the 'new' DJI FPV? Hope I've adequately explained the issue.

    • @tomstrojnik
      @tomstrojnik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching.. Yeah flying backwards ane keeping your subject framed in the middle is super hard.. Maybe try to do it with a lower camera angle?

      @@tomstrojnik I've seen a few crashes with the new DJI FPV quad and the battery seems to come catapulting out! For a number of reason, that's very concerning. Also, battery life seems to be nowhere close to the figures DJI claims. Although, the 90mph speed is a tempting feature. But all the geo-fencing and restrictions seem to be a pain in the ass to me. I think I'll stick to my 5" quads and maybe invest in the Chimer 7" at some point.
