Jeremy, today I passed the ENSLD Network Design exam! NOW I'm a CCNP!!!!!!! Took almost 1 year exactly starting from beginning the CCNA! I'm now a CCNP!!! Horrah!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you tell me what is network design because there’s a lot of fields so can you give me a brief about it?
I wish this video series was around when I was first learning networking. So many classes I have taken, in college and out of it, and books that I have read including the official book by Cisco, were taught by people who already think like a CCNP, where all these concepts have already clicked and are second nature, and that's how they taught the class. Topics were often presented in a vacuum without fully tying them into the related topics. They would never preempt questions that a first time student might have because they weren't thinking like a first time student.
In your videos you teach topics by tying them into each other, you review things we already learned so that we can build upon it. You answer so many of our questions before we even have to ask, especially about discrepancies between what we learn, and what we see in outputs and commands. Your labs build upon skills learned earlier in the course which keeps them fresh and commits them to memory. Your flash cards will ask the same question multiple times in different ways to help information stick. I love how you address the ridiculousness of the naming conventions and acronym salads they use and how one word can mean many different things depending on context, like port. I have gone through CCNA materials many times but I am learning and having revelations about so many things because of your thoroughness and use of examples to prove a point. Thank you Jeremy, I am taking my 2nd attempt of the exam on 5/24 and I am super nervous, but this course is making me feel more prepared than ever.
"I'd tell you a UDP joke, but i'm afraid you might not get it"
very funny 😁
Next Halloween I'm dressing as Jeremy.
I'm finally half way through! (👍 ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)👍

But why
I didn't realize it until now, but we have been going up the OSI model this whole time lol Which is awesome because now I have a clearer understanding of each layer! Great work Jeremy!
same here, exactly!
Wow, I learned about the 4-way handshake for the first time. This is one of the benefits of watching training videos from multiple authors/IT trainers. Thank you Jeremy
Everyone teaches the 3-way handshake, but for some reason no one mentions the 4-way handshake!
@@JeremysITLab I totally agree, I have done CompTIA A+, I've take community college classes in intro to data communication and network design, and I also got certified in Comptia Security+.......I never came across the 4-way handshake to terminate connections
You, mister, are a saint, I could never thank you enough for your high quality courses !
Thank you, A LOT !!
This Gentleman is God sent . You have boost my moral and confidence in ICT especially Networking
Thank you, Ernest ;)
I can't tell you how much your videos help in understanding the concepts in this course. Thanks so much. Keep it up. We need you.
Thank you, glad to hear it!
Even though I've passed the CCNA, I still return to these videos as a refresher because I'm studying other IT certs now.
I just can't get over HOW GOOD this FREE resource is.
I've paid good money for resources that don't even come CLOSE to the quality that you've provided Jeremy!
Thank you SO MUCH!!
I honestly passed thanks to you. Without your free course I can't see how I'd have passed.
Congratulations. What were the toughest topics you would recommend to focus on?
Just amazing. I'm learning so much more from watching your videos than CBT nuggets. Your content is free of charge and theirs actually costs money. I wish I had learned about your channel sooner. Still grateful of people like you Jeramy! You rock man!
That SYN ACK communication oriented traffic video bit with the two sides of the matter showed at once was so helpful, I couldnt think of it any clearer than how it was shown in here! Great video!
Thank you Jeremy for your great effort. I have been flowing your video tutorial so far. Although my score is below 900 I passed my CCNA exam on first attempt today. Thank you Jeremy’s IT LAB
Awesome, congrats! Score doesn't matter, passing is a big achievement!
hi ,
please , can you shaire dump ,
thanks lot
Thank you Mr. Jeremy for all your efforts. Best courses for everyone to understand CCNA.
Thank you :)
Thanks Sir Jeremy for making such wonderful videos. No words! Just respect and love for you!
Thank you Jeremy! Great lesson as usual.
this is a very good explanation about TCP/UDP, very systematic. Many thanks to Jeremy's hard work.
I have been labbing for years and the relationship between ports and packets just clicked. lol. Much appreciated series.
Jeremy you're a legend mate. Hope you're compensated well for your efforts
Thank you very much as always, for me, without your tutorials, I can never imagine I can do anything with networking.
Hi Jeremy, thank you, you are literally my favourite notification on TH-cam, i eagerly away your next lecture
Thanks Frank :)
I really love this course, all thanks to u Jeremy 💖
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it :)
Excelente video, as all your past videos, thank you very much Jeremy.
Thanks, Andrey :)
Thank you so much Jeremy you are the one that we needed . keep going man !
Thanks, Mohamed!
Hey Jeremy, really enjoying your course. So far I've compiled some fairly decent study material and I thought I might share it with you (and anyone else reading this). I wouldn't mind if you added it to your course as extra study material or something. It mostly consists of screenshots I've taken of all the important slides from your videos, all labeled and sorted into folders (which is great for quickly reviewing a topic you covered without re-watching an entire video), there's an anki file which contains all of your cards up to now, all tagged appropriately (I also added some cards for the rest of the subnet prefix conversions), as well as some text documents with notes, and all the important labs up til now (with a few minor changes for quality of life). Also, thanks for making this course, it's pretty much the first one I stumbled across and I'm glad I didn't waste my time on some lesser course, with your methods (especially the flashcards) I was able to easily understand everything you covered and memorize it. So yeah you definitely earned that commission when I bought Boson ExSim ;P. Here's my notes:

Awesome, I'll check it out!
@@JeremysITLab You should have access now.
Very helpful notes , thank you for your effort
Thanks. I was thinking to ask jeremy for the slide to upload. I am actually writing down whatever he said......all explanations...
Man it was 2 years ago and the files are still there! I've downloaded them and I find them very helpful. You are awesome, thank you so much!
Yoooo yooo yooo it's jeremy on the time😍😍😍best ccna course
Thanks Kader ;)
The way you explains is really good Jeremy. I read some books of ccna but they use a language that looks not easy but your videos are really Good. I hope to approve my CCNA test. Thanks to upload all these videos.
Thank you Cesar, good luck :)
What a teacher...hats off....RESPECT
Thank you ;)
Jeremy made me switch from the state of mere listenning to the state of learning, now i'm looking forward for more videos (get the joke ?)
Haha, I love it ;)
Good one...😂😂😂
Man TCP and UDP is such a cool topic, I'd definitely study it more in depth when I'm done with the ccna.
Loving this series Jeremy, thank you!
Curious, how many videos do you anticipate this course growing to by the time it's complete?
I'm guessing it will be about 50 'days' in length when it's finished.
Found on google - Transparent transfer means the data forwarding device or module is unconscious and no need to care.
In computer networks, data of lower layer is packed and sent through upper layer. You don’t need to know the packing process and the packing method, the data that should be transported is transferred as it is.
If a module does forward data, in a way you not need to care, this is called transparent transfer.
I lived in Colombia, and I ´ve leraned so much with your courses, even I have applied those knowledges in some projects, thanks, thanks, and thank you very much for share this information, even I have a note book for register some key contents. God bless you.
Thanks, Gustavo :)
Thank you very much for this wonderful method of explaining and clarifying. I wish you more creativity.
Thanks for watching :)
Hi Jeremy, I would be lying if i say I remember 100% everything from the course. But what i can guarantee, is that I've learnt good enough fundamentals and concepts from all your videos, where now im watching video + books from other sources help me have a better clear understanding of the topics and i can go more indephth. Thank you!
Thanks, glad the videos helped :) I hope you'll follow along as I continue to complete the course!
Thank you Jeremy. I will definitely pass through this channel.
Good luck! :)
Thank you for this lesson!
simply, this is the best explaination I 've ever seen in this topic
Thanks for the videos Jeremy, they were very helpful. It's really easy to learn from your videos. Please are you gonna release videos for CCNP soon? It'd be really nice if you could.
Maybe after I finish the CCNA course!
I have seen many videos on youtube and also subscribed many channels ...I won't say those videos on networking are not good ..But I can say you are best in my experience.
Thank you, Deepak!
Extremely important topic for literally all IT related entry level job interviews.
Yep, and important knowledge all-around for someone in IT!
thankyou Jeremy for your time and effort . really help full
best teacher on youtube THANK YOU !!!!
Thanks Jeremy ,very informative
Great Video Jeremy! Much appreciated...

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that!
Thanks Jeremy I appreciate it
Thanks :)
Thanks Jeremy great video I appreciate it
Thank you, glad to hear it :)
Half-way. I'm very happy :)
Hi sir, should I remember the various TCP and UDP port numbers for CCNA?
Thanks Jeremy
SYSLOG is important for security audit, so many company use TCP protocol
Hi Jeremy, Thank you so much for your videos.
but can you upload two videos in a week ?
Hope that you can do this
Sorry, I don't have enough time to make two videos per week.
Hello Jeremy, first of all, I want to thank you for the incredible effort that you put in making this videos, I am trying to learn the CCNA from the book since March, but it is very discouraging as a person who never had any contact with this field before, only after finding out about your channel I really understood and begin to really study, the way you have made this videos exactly on the topic and not deviating from the subject is amazing, out of all the CCNA courses on youtube yours is the best in my opinion.
Second, I would like to know how far along are we and approximately how many videos more will be until the end of the course.
Thanks for your kind words :)
The course is going to be about 50 'days' in total, I'll probably finish it up early next year.
Hi Jeremy! Seems like you really answer questions on teachable.
Did you ask a question? I didn't get any notifications, I'll have to check the settings.
Seems notifications were off by default, just turned them on. Which video did you ask a question on?
Thank you!!!
Finally got to TCP after all that layer 2 and 3 stuff :D
Thank you jeremy, you are great.
Thanks Natan :)
great video
Jeremy too cheeta hai yar. Thankyou, you are changing lives
Thank you Jeremy !!!
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks Jeremy!
Thanks!
Amazing.
thank you

Hello Jeremy, I would like to ask why segments need sequencing from TCP, I thought the IP header fragment offset took care of the order of how packets are arranged
Excellent explanation.
Thanks, David :)
thank you for your videos its amazing ,my question is when the full course will be done or uploaded ??
It will be finished next year
3-Way Handshake: Hey I know this
4-Way Handshake: Say what
The less-famous brother of the 3-way handshake!
Wonderful video because I needed this for my exam
Thanks, glad to help!
@@JeremysITLab Do you also charge being a mentor? Or should I just do the Boson Network Simulator
You are pro max bro ❤
First of all - thanks for all your advises!!
I need to laugh always, when he say's: "Let's see if I'm correct." in the Bonus Question.
@Jeremy's IT Lab
Will ever come a video where you are selecting the incorrect answer? :D
NEVER! ;)
Jeremy you mentioned that his is a brief overview. Kindly let me know what source did you use to learn in detail.
Sir I am waiting for the last 2 modules or chps of ccna exam syllabus to be covered by you as I feel that 2 modules to be tough to understand but I am damp sure after watching and going through your content and teaching it will be clear to understand for me So it's a request Sir please complete that part prior.......
I'm glad my videos are easy to understand! But I will cover the topics in what I think is the best order, so I will leave those topics for later.
@@JeremysITLab Ok Sir no problem
I will wait......
Thank You
Thanks Putin 👍
Thanks a lot
I hope it's helpful :)
grate
TFTP - NICE port number! :D :D :D
th-cam.com/video/3WAOxKOmR90/w-d-xo.html
why does TFTP in UDP segment file transfer usually need reliability ?
Sir, can you suggest me a CCNA(201-300) study guide for new syllabus. I am already having CCNA(R&S) second edition by TODD LAMMLE.
I recommend the official cert guides by Wendell Odom.
I have Network+ certification but CCNA makes it look like a baby
Can I have a link where i can purchase your course, and some small description, how it works and how it gets updated? Thank you
You can purchase it here if you want: jeremysitlab.teachable.com/
So, at the halfway mark, and I have to ask - Did supporter "Channel Failed To Load" ever get fixed? :D
Hi Jeremy, could you please share the pdf files? Thank you!
Hi Jermey
in day 3 you said that the session layer is responsible for establishing managing and terminating the connection. How that is connecting with the transport functions?
thanks
In the OSI conceptual model there is a session layer that provides that function. However as I've said before modern networks are all built on the TCP/IP model, so the functions of the OSI model's upper layers are performed by the TCP/IP application and transport layers.
16:46 wouldn't Srv1 here send back a SYN and an ACK together?
leaving a comment for youtube algorithm
Always appreciated ;)
Are all these bit lengths of the IPv4 header, Ethernet header, and TCP all really on the test? It feels really strange that an entry level exam would have details like this.
Hi Jeremy, I don't see the link to flashcard deck download. Will you please put that link under the description for this video? Or, do we have to pay to be able to download the flashcards?
Thank you
Hi, it’s the top line of the description.
