- Last week I went through my Pivot Shadowcat setup, from components to suspension settings that help me jib and do trials.
I did miss out a little bit of information so to those who wanted to know...the frame is a medium, I'm 177cm tall and weigh around 80kg.

Fraser and I filmed more than I could fit in that video and I feel I give some decent advice and show my thought processes which could be interesting to a lot of you so here is a longer behind the scenes video, I hope you enjoy it!

Fraser seems to have a real talent for filming - he moves with the action and keeps it well in frame. Kudos to Fraser!😊
I second this. 👍
Fraser is a great addition 🤘
The conversation about what you are thinking, and his ability to follow the action with the camera are nice. Great stuff!
Fraser is exceptional with the camera. Also talking to each other shows the thought process behind doing these moves.
Really enjoyed you two as a team!
I think having fraser on the channel more will be a really good thing.
That line at 15:35 was absolute filth. Outstanding.
Fraser’s filming and your conversations mid line really help me appreciate how insanely difficult what you do is. Great dynamic 👏👏
Glad to hear you shout out the fun geometry vs modern long slack bikes. I picked up a 2011 Transition DH bike and was shocked how much easier bunnyhops and rear wheel moves were on it compared to my modern geo hardtail. Glad to hear I wasn't imagining that. Amazing riding as always!
‘By Thunder!’
If the shadypuss is like the ‘sword of omens’
That must make you the
King of Thundera 👑
💪
Thats so good when you can focus more on riding and not setting up a perfect shot. No cuts for lines make it super enjoyable to watch too and must be easier to edit no?
You guys form great duo
Keep on doing Things like this
There is nobody who does this rock and tree trial biking like you
And the Contests make you better too
Please edit a 15 min Video with good music with your style of riding.
Some pivot and inspired content with big gaps and fallen trees and rock riding
You would get many views!!!
Perhaps with some merch Shirts
I wish you the best from germany
Stay on biking
Fraser does a great job of filming and I like his commentary. I've been enjoying your videos for a while and I think when you can focus on riding rather than positioning tripods the end result feels more fluid and natural.
Fraser is great he really tracked alot of that footage very well over the rocks, be great for both of you to learn different thing maybe
Dude your skill is amazing mate
Fraser is the man, bring it on!
Yes. Enjoying the third person filming and the conversation between you and Fraser.
👍👍👍
Fun is fun regardless if you're going slow speed on a bike. I agree how I mean. I have had some fun in my life bunny hopping around on small jumps like really small little hops and so on and have fun as playful fun not necessarily adrenaline of going fast kind of fun. Nothing big like you Ali and your small stuff is sometimes big to me concerning biking skills. 😂 You bunny hop high like them bars you use to jump, made videos of and one of the highest I've ever seen and you mentioned it to I remember of being so high on a world wide scale. You're awesome to be able to be at one with a bike how I mean as it's super fun to in some ways I'm sure. It's certainly fun for me on small things to and I absolutely love the fun regardless if I'm a little child or now as I'm more experienced and still love the small stuff of being playful and laughing and so on during the fun times how I can. I hope you have a lot more healthy exercising in your life too Ali. You're awesome! 🎉
Thank you for filming the creative behaviors and so on for sure and I hope you have a lot more happiness and amazingness in your future doing videography, riding and so on and great work on the communications and helping Ali with the content and such. 👍. Thank you Faser👏
Amazing use of the ShadowCat! You inspire me to try new stuff, though nothing like what you're doing! Great video!
For me this bike could be a dream bike. Perfect wheels suspension brakes and the only thing that I would change is the frame. Aluminium for me Is enought. ✨
Having someone to track you thru the sections and discuss line options is a big plus!
Liking the back and forth with you and Fraser, and he has a really fun way of filming, like at one point walking towards you with the camera following the slope of a rock at one point.
my biggest hobby is to keep switching between blaming my abysmal riding abilities and my bike for being wrong for the job... this video puts me in an even worse spot 😂
Thanks for another great video. I think it’s great that Fraser is helping you from these videos. He doesn’t amazing job. I I do like watching videos of you riding the full suspension bike. Just like I liked the video you made riding the fat bike. and any video of you riding any bike is great entertainment.
Such a great video. Love Fraser’s interviewing narratives and that team rundown on the gap you cleaned was very good to see.
Awesome job filiming, and as usual awesome riding!!
Loved the filming and editing!
Awesome skills man💚
Sensational riding
Incredible Riding and awesome filming! Thank you for your shoutout for smaller bikes and smaller wheels. I love my 26inch 301 Liteville for technical stuff. The modern 29inch bikes feel like heavy long trucks in my opinion. Riding that rock at 2:50 which got the same height like you is completely crazy 😱.
You are a awesome Rider. Riding that stuff with a trials bike is absolutely master class. Riding this stuff with an fully Mtb is completely exhausting and crazy!
I like this style of content. Love that bike too...would love to see Ali on a marin san quentin or rsd middlechild though
This was awaesome! Good job both of you! :D
Both top men loved this format you gel together perfect, I think you should do more together
Love your videos, Ali
Awesome!!!
I was thinking Chris Akrigg about ten minutes before you mentioned him. Killer riding on the new beast, flying up rocks at eye height or higher! Loving the filming done by Fraser too and he did that line on the Hex well!
Nice one Fraser!
Great riding and great filming! Eee, t'were reet proper. ;)
Gracias por el video un abrazo desde Perú
Loving this Ali you should do a challenge vid again with Danny on this sort of thing babe awesome to see like the last vid you guys did together
Once again big out to freezer filming The title of this video should’ve been sketchy as F Fairplay to Ali For getting up that rock at 15:24
I'm gonna guess sweat.
Is the bash guard properly installed? This was great.
hey Ali grate video as always. I am starting to look into getting a new bike and i have a dilemma in wheel size and basically the TLDR is: do you find 29er rear wheels to be obstructing you movement in trials/ messing around or slow/steep/ technical situations? thank you
now good filming and of course good riding
luv it
yeah good filing
really good filing
hey ali have you tried converting a 24 inch street trial to a comp bike
Ali could you tell me what front sprocket you have?
I cant find one below 32 tooth to fit 104BCD hollowtech !?
Im riding single speed
Ive been looking for a few years with no luck.
Im a faithful follower of some years, old guy here with with not many seasons left to ride😆
Is this the bike to ride the trail that you started building?
Is it me or is the footage quality not as it used to? Looks like trouble with keeping up with the movement. The young lad is a + for me for sure, has a good trials eye too.
What you think about a bmx to practice trials?
Often bmxers can cross over to trials better than any other form of riding so yeah it’ll be better than nothing and also teach you some flow which helps with style on the trials bike 👍🏻
@Ali_Clarkson lol i think i was sleepy when i writed that comment... I was thinking about a bmx frame with low gear ratio and support to u/v brakes to practice some trials. I say this because trials biking is a expensive sport and unaccessible in my country, and i saw a footage of old school trials riding and It's very similar to a bmx
Which model brakes are those?
Hayes Dominion A4 👍🏻
@@Ali_Clarkson thanks for the fast reply Ali! Would you say those are better than Magura MT7s?
Fraser did well. Guessing he does a bit more than jumps or trials given the size of his thighs.
That BB and downtube not being wrecked is pretty miraculous.
Only now I've noticed you're running an inline shock. Why? I thought all the cool kids run piggybacked coils even on gravel bikes nowadays.
Ali c where are you 3 weeks since the latest vid u ok m8
Yo Kerri, yeah sorry for being quiet. It’s been a combo of things with my time being taken up travelling for shows plus lots happening with the UCI world champs but also my chronic pain has been really bad recently and other than short bursts riding in shows going out to film a video is just too painful recently.
I’m currently trying to get in the gym more and getting other physio stuff done and it’s showing some signs of improvement, I’m hoping I can get videos rolling again next week!
@@Ali_Clarkson cool to hear your on the mend where the shows at any close to Midlands would be cool to see you live m8
anyone spot the easter egg bottle bucky? 😁😉😋
9:26 Ali joins the far right
Nice little hidden message for the head of the catholic church there ;)
