    DT 770 Pro actually comes in 3 different versions: 32, 80, and 250 ohms. I have been using DT 770 Pro 80 ohm (straight undetachable cable) maybe 15 years, and they still perform stellar. For production, tracking, mixing, and video editing, these cans are just awesome... I enjoy them so much ... aand maybe it's time to add DT 770 Pro X LE to my collection... :)

    Mix on whatever headphones or stereo speakers monitors whatever you listen to your music on
    Don't switch to a different set of monitors or a different set of headphones when you mix versus when you're just listening and enjoying music
    Your mind is adjusted to what you listen to and it will a better balance for the sounds if you stay with your own reference audio

      I don't think so. You get such a different sound pressure with closed back, and open-back headphones. Moreover, the resonances are more occurring in closed back, since, they have to reverberate in a robust construction of the closed back.

    Very nice review, I've watched a ton before pulling the trigger today and yours is definitely up there.
    For my use, on practice amp and music listening on a variety of devices, I concluded that 48 ohm would get me the best out of everything.
    Also, I know myself and why I prefer detached cable, and that I will switch to a coiled cable at some point, hassle free. And as a bass player ( hobby ) after 5 years with a cheap headphone I wore to its destruction, it's time to treat myself. Man, that thing is properly used, I glued a pad that fell off etc. I was not giving up on that thing. It served me well.
    It's good to start with modest gear though, makes the sweet, more expensive gear more enjoyable 😀

    Hi 😊 great reviews but still need help ! 😂
    I’m a keyboard player and I practice at home, I have a pair of Beyer DT770 Pro 80 Ohms, these go straight into my Soundcraft EFX12 Mixer.. but occasionally I get distortion when playing my keys, the volume headphone dial is up around 3/4, where as I don’t get this using my Sony MDR-7506’s and have to turn volume dial down.. any ideas what the distortion issue is?

    I used to have the DT770 Pro 80, and used it at home when I required a little bit of isolation from outside noises, found them good for watching and listening.
    Have been thinking about the DT 700 Pro X for a little while - especially as at 48 ohms can probably even drive them from an Xbox controller - but was put off making the purchase because wanted to see what these DT 770 Pro X were like. And looks like it’s a hard choice!

      You'll need an interface that has an output impedance of either 10 ohms or less, otherwise if it's higher it will cause the headphones to have inaccurate low frequency response. Julian Krause talks about that a lot and it's based on physics and engineering (look up the "8x rule" when it comes to headphone versus interface impedance)

    • @kaine880
      @kaine880 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jasongiese1979 You can listen to these casually since the dt990pros aren’t really good for gaming and leak a ton of audio, same with the 880’s making the 770’s the best option for gaming/music depending on how many ohms you get. 250 ohms is for studio and professional use so you’ll 100% have to buy an external amplifier which is pretty pricey. 80 ohms is easier to run considering most laptops/ phones can run it and the sound quality is also nice for casual use but if you’re device isn’t strong or doesn’t have a good sound card, you’re gonna need to once again get an external amplifier. With 32 ohms, it’s super easy to run so you wouldn’t need an amplifier however the cable is only 3 feet long which is incredibly short compared to the 80/250 ohm ones and people have said that the 32 ohm sound quality is worse. 80ohms would probably be the best option as most devices can handle it and the cable is long. Hope this helped!

      Yes, they work fine for all types of media use. They aren’t an overly flat sound so they can be fun and have a lot of sub bass rumble for gaming.

    Sorry Mike- Not a fan of the DT770Pro - I returned a DT770Pro back a few years ago. it sounded like a really bad cheap headphone set. I currently use the DT880 Pro for all my mixing, and then will double check with my DT900 Pro headphone for the high ends in the mix. All of their headphones are very comfortable to wear. I use a Atm-M50x for closed back- they sound better. Good luck selling those- I liked your video- Best wishes

      You must have gotten a counterfeit one as an actual DT770 80 ohm model sounds much better than the M50x. Better detail, better overall bass response that isn't bloated like the M50x are, and the sound stage is much wider.
