    A doctor once told me
    *“Because you didn't want to lose them, you lost yourself in the process. Find yourself again and you will find happiness”*

  • @lovemecom3832
    @lovemecom3832 7 ปีที่แล้ว +160

    Eventually you will realize that happiness is not the absence of problems, but simply the ability to deal well with them. Imagine all the wondrous things your mind might embrace if it weren’t wrapped so tightly around your struggles. Always look at what you have, instead of what you have lost. Because it’s not what the world takes away from you that counts; it’s what you do with what you have left.

      All right, thank's also yours, were words I needed to hear and loved to! Thank's because I'm gonna do something good with things, animals and people including family, who are always with me, because those are the ones who really count in my life meant to make with and for me the best things!!

    What hurts is that their opinion of us has changed. They once had a good opinion of us and now they don’t. That’s where the pain comes from.

    • @KenjiiSykes
      @KenjiiSykes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While it is true that the pain of someone changing their mind or opinion of you is real, we must not forget that change is the only constant in life, nothing in nature is the same all year round. And in just the same way people change, grow, discover their true needs and wants and have different desires in different phases of their life. I know how much it hurts to love someone and consider them everything you ever wanted and them not being able to reciprocate, but never are our needs more important than somebody else's, and so we must accept the pain with grace and not make it mean anything about us or our worth and lovability.

    I tend to think that once the damage is done your best bet is to pull the plug on the relationship. No matter how hard it might seem. People are cruel and chasing after someone who does not love you is like chasing the wind. Love yourself and move on. Men are a dime a dozen and he's not the last coca cola in the desert

    my boyfriend of 1 year broke up with me saying I mistreated him. even tho I gave him everything I had. I put in so much time and effort into trying to make him happy. he seemed happy too tho... he cheated on me when it hit 8 months. I was crying and everything. I told my family, friends. and they told me to leave him. but I didn't. He told me I wasn't enough for him. then blocked me on everything. I tried talking to him. but that made me cry way more. my advice is to block them! stop talking to them! thats the sign that they aren't the one. so now you have to move on and find the one. and trust me, it will be hard. but in the future someone will love you way more.

      @@chocolatewheelchair i was told once that it takes the half time. It takes individual time...depending on the ppl, the relationship, the amount of drama 😁 etc... Fe. I had a seven year long relationship. We were 18 when we met and we just developed in totally different ways. I realized that during the relationship and it didn't really needed long (maybe 3 months) to get over it. Two months ago I moved out from a covert narcissist after a year relationship and I'm still sometimes having flashbacks and outburst in tears...I don't really know how long that one will last...emotional abuse is without compare. Life is slowly getting colorful again,but it may last a bit longer than the one before. Hope not two years... I would kill myself 🤣

      @@patricklewis5676 how? What is rousing through your mind? How long have you been together and how did it end? I'm sorry that you are suffering. Hope you can soon find a way to get through it :/
      I moved to another town, so I'm alone a lot. My friends are not too far away, but I feel the need to spend time with myself. Music and arts help me a lot. I take good care of my needs and my body with healthy food and exercise. When I'm tired I take a nap. I go to the forest when my mind is too active, that helps heaps to slow it down. When I feel like it I take a bath fe. I started meditating in the mornings (which brought also very unpleasant feelings to the surface, but I feel that my days are somehow smoother when I do it) Just be kind to yourself. You're not alone and you deserve it to be appreciated!

      Rosa Guzman I really feel for you, same thing happend to me. My girlfriend went back to her ex husband, she stopped returning my calls and then I got a text about her wanting to be single and not to ever text or call her anymore. I stayed in bed crying for 3 days and finally I got a call from her, I was so happy but it was to tell me her and her ex husband decided to work things out. I was so hurt, but now looking back on it, it was a blessing. You don't want people like that in your life, you deserve better than that. Stay strong.

      Try to change the narrative and see this chapter and experience as a gift. Use your suffering to transform you into who you want to be, how you want to feel, and what you want in your life. We often hold into bad relationships in order to avoid facing parts of ourselves that we don’t want to look at or that we don’t want to do the work to improve.

    This video really points out how one-sided relationships can be. It seems to me that most relationships exist so that one partner can make the other feel better about themselves. Not that this has any negative or positive connotation, I just think that this is a great way to understand how people develop dependencies on relationships.

    Thank you. This is what I needed to hear today. My boyfriend called me up earlier and said that I don't make him happy. Watering it down to the very basic gist of why, he said it had to do with issues surrounding his feelings about him being homosexual and the reasons "why" he is that way which he attributes to things that happened in his childhood. There is no way I can make those thoughts go away. I wish there was. I wish there was a way for me to convince him that I cannot and make him want to stay in my life. I am so scared right now but this video is definitely something I needed to see.

      Noah Elkrief This did help. Thank you so much! I think it was in another video where you said that there is no way you can make someones negative memories go away, and I basically told him the same thing. That no matter what I cannot remove his memories of his trauma. I can be there to lend a shoulder for him to cry on but I cannot take away his memories. Once I told him this he realized he was expecting me to remove his bad feelings which I cannot nor anyone else do. This changed his mood toward me and things are much better now. Thank you so much!

Moreover, I can't look to them nor anyone for my happiness.

    Thank you so much for what you've done, Noah. You have enlightened me. At least, I can think about suicide less often. I can now view a relationship from another perspective - hoping that I can get over this miserable feeling caused by my ex soon.

    wow thanks for the new perspective. i watched a few videos and this one is extremely great. in a bigger picture this is about how to be happy with who you are and stop constantly seeking for approval and caring about other opinion which in fact doesn't have anything to do with me. this video was like a meditation session for me, thanks. i feel better now.

    I needed this. Thank you so much. just an hour ago I was shouting and crying and breaking things but now, basically from now onwards, I'm sure I won't be affected by these mere issues much.
    Thank you.

    I smiled because I can literally relate to that example. @8:34-9:51 resonated with me, but not about hair color. My specific example, which is one of my most vivid childhood memories is when I was on a playground on some jungle gym with my sister nearby, and a boy said to me, "I like your sister better," and then went down the slide. Now, we looked even more identical as children than we do these days. I just remember feeling like I had been violently accosted and that it was nonsensical for this little boy to say something that stupid to me. I like this video, but as I listened to it, I thought, I wasn’t unhappy when I got broken up with because I believed I'm not worthy, lovable, good enough, etc., I was unhappy to be broken up with because he couldn't see how worthy, lovable, better than good enough, etc. I am!

    This totally overhauled my perception of my breakup, thank you so much. I went through so much with my ex, she always broke up with me constantly and hooked back up, she always thought I was cheating I wasn't aloud to talk to any female friends so I cut everyone off and then eventually she stopped calling me as much, started going to bars and then she told me she decided to go back to her ex husband. I blamed myself for the longest time but now I realize your right I couldn't make her happy. No matter how much I love her and wish I could take her hurt away I can never make her happy..
