As for the "why doesn't Bobby just come back after exploding like Bombette and Bobbery do, I believe he actually explains that it's due to Bobby being a mass produced Bob-Omb, whereas the previous Bob-Omb partners are special models.
another theory suggests that Bombette and bobbery are organic bob ombs and Bobby an industrial one, the main difference between both (aside from appearance) is that Industrial ones have a massively destructive explosion but die in the process while organic ones have weaker ones but can be repeated without risk (after bombette and bobbery only cause small holes on already cracked walls while Bobby destroys a massive intact Boulder)
Never forget that there was a Mario game where one of the antagonists dismembered dozens of people, left their bodies lying on the floor in plain sight, and created an abomination out of their still-conscious faces.
I remember that battle all too well... because I experimented by using iron boots on the scissors because the battle system here encourages experimentation and ended up instantly dying and having to redo that battle all over again and the paper macho too...
Don't forget: this is also the game where we: -Punch a Turtle in the guts -Stab an artist with his own teeth -Dehydrate a Dragon and then bash it -Eviscerate an actress/gay actor/trans/whatever and YEET their skeleton onto a wall -Pluck a Phoenix's feathers -Rip a dancer's spine/stomach -Tear the skin of a Mafia Boss -Beat a Snake to a pulp -Froze the anime villain you talked about to death and shattered his worldview(Because you know,Scissors beats Paper and he got beaten BY Paper) -Break a dog's jaw BACKWARDS I love this game to death, change my mind
It's actually relieving seeing someone not "sinning" King Olly's whole reason to why he did this, being scribbled on. While people see this as a puny reason for Olly to do it, in Japan and origami culture, it is EXTREMELY disrespectful to the art and craft of origami if you do even just a scribble or message on the paper, probably because of how delicate the paper itself is (origami paper are more variable than normal paper), or something something art-is-the-shape-not-the-words. Granted idk why it's disrespectful, but it is, and that is why Olly did what he did.
yeah but for people like us, who doesn't know anything about origami culture, how we supposed to know that ? I mean... nobody in this game tells something about "Rules of Origami". if an Origami festival can exist it's logic to have the rules no ? . You supposed to discover this by yourself ? sorry I'm so mad by that when they can just make one dialogue to explain how origami works

Would that last long enough? I mean, given his videos are like… 10, 15, maybe 20 minutes long, you’d think something like that would have worked out, but it’s more like something consistent with inconsistent rules, I think. To put it simply, I agree, but I don’t see it happening. I think a compilation of Charriii5 saying something like “‘My friends are my power’ cliche.” might make more sense, but again, I agree with you.
Still waiting on the compilation of the times he mentioned his ex girlfriend (I don't know if he was playing dumb to the cheating and he knew the whole time, or if it took him a while to figure it out).
And, to TRULY 100% the game, you also have to beat it WITHOUT getting a game over, and beat it without using a SINGLE accessory. But it’s really more of a 102% challenge imo
True 100% for me is gonna be the dictionary definition of hell. I already suck at stapler and doing this without battle accessories is gonna be absolutely brutal. I'll update the the comment when I get it
And with that we've come to the end of our Mario RPG journey for now. Thank you, Charrii, so much for this amazing trip. And thank Fawful's Minion for helping out with the Mario and Luigi games. It's been nothing short of one of the greatest rides.
Yeah, Charriii keeps "sinning" that when really I think it's a great feature. It's good to have both. He's complaining about redundancy, but in cyber security (which I think is a close enough comparison) redundancy is a good thing because it's essentially a back-up plan. Redundancy is not inherently bad, in fact it can be quite good, and I think saving a game like this is a great example of that. It's good to have the player be able to save on a whim /and/ it's good in the event that the game gets turned off before the player can save it. Both, in my opinion, are necessary.
There are also two hidden achievements that you forgot: 1. No game overs. Since the game autosaves after every death, you have to restart your save file if you die, which, considering it can happen at the end of the game when you don't choose Kameks paths, is very frustrating. 2. Don't use any battle accessories throughout the game. This one is just straight up unfair. Unless you know of it beforehand, you will not get this achievement as you would obviously use the items given to you for their intended purpose. Both of these achievements give you icons for your save file, and once you know of them, its going to be hell if you're a completionist since you MUST create a new file if you messed up.
Those don't affect getting the Secret Ending scene or "100%" however. They're just extra 'achievement' bonuses. (...still BS that they aren't even _hinted_ at though).
@@mapleflame9027 there is actually no way you never knew about the battle accessories. The game trailers told you many times you can use battle accessories, and you could see that merchant toad outside many times in the game.
This game establishes that bob-ombs DIE when they explode and uses it for emotional impact with Bobby, but later on has you use dozens of bob-ombs as AMMO. That's a sin for me.
@@chickennoodlegamer915 Shouldn't the game at least acknowledge the sacrifice that all the Bob-ombs made? Like, Olivia genuinely grieves for Bobby once he explodes, but even after she _calls_ the other Bob-ombs Bobby, she doesn't give them a second thought.
My biggest gripe with the game is that advertising made a big deal about partners coming back, but you only get 1 partner at a time and they can only be used in certain areas at certain points in the story. The best thing about partners in the first 2 games is that they join you for your entire adventure. You can choose which partner you want and use different strategies to defeat enemies. They feel like they help you and you get to connect with them. Kamek and Professor Toad never attacked ONCE in my playthrough. The partners in Origami King are next to useless.
Well for what the developers were trying to do with partners and Nintendo being strict and limiting to them on how they could use partners, it's good we even have partners at all. Yes Nintendo's strict polices shouldn't even exist in the first place, but there is very little that can be done about it.
@@Turbulation1 I'd rather have no partners than be lied to and receive halfassed ones that barely contribute to the game as a whole. OK doesn't get a pass just because Nintendo's still being stupid.
@@Turbulation1 We can do something about it, give it bad reviews, refuse to buy it, and tell nintendo to stop snuffing out the will of the artists. Praise the parts of it that shine while being hard and critical of all the broken promises.
I noticed that too!! I decided to look at the wiki bc i thought it was a cool looking enemy, but i didnt find anything though. So i let my sister give it a name, and she named it Cricket. And then i went looking for info in the comments.
I didn't picture her to have a british accent. I kind of expected her not to have an accent and sound like a little girl. Olly kind of fits the British accent, but I didn't expect either of them to have the accent. For Olly, I expected him to sound like a young adult male without the accent. Maybe due to them being royalty in a way (Olly is called King Olly in the game, as per the game title of Origami King), maybe that's why they have the accent? Olivia would also be royalty too since Olly made her, but still, the accent seems off. Olivia doesn't match the accent. Olly does, but it was still unexpected.
I watched the whole video and laughed at a lot of it but I really didn’t want the voices included. Hearing Toad voices everywhere and especially Olivia with a very notable accent like that was so torturous I’m sorry lmao Something I like about the Paper Mario series is that the dialogue doesn’t have voice acting so in my head I can imagine different voices for every character instead of hearing them speak with generic Toad/Snifit etc noises which would become kind of annoying ngl. Also after watching Derrick’s playthrough of Origami King before leaving GX I think Aimee did a really great job of voicing Olivia. Not often you hear it but I loved it.
I had fun with this game, it was enjoyable and unique, I actually really loved the characters and most of the areas were really fun to explore, only thing I can really say I didn’t like was the combat system, yeah near the start it’s fun but near the end you just wanna throw coins at the problem or run away since again, no actual point for fighting since only thing you gain is coins, this game could’ve been a lot better if the combat was actually enjoyable for the entire game and not just tedious and boring near the end, it annoys me because this could’ve been so much better, I just wish they actually built off a certain combat system instead of just changing it every game because people didn’t like it, like the Mario and Luigi series, yeah the combat changed a bit with each game but it still felt similar to the original combat system while still adding new mechanics
It might just be because I'm a sucker for puzzle games, but I liked the battle system. I thought it was fun and required more thinking, I actively tried to avoid using coins in battles only using them when I was completely stumped
@@Grane1234 well it’s not that it’s too hard, it’s the fact they use the same layouts for the battles and don’t actually have that many different layouts for the enemies so eventually you just instantly know the solution but it’s just faster to use coins and be done with it, another thing that actually does annoy me though I forgot to mention, you don’t actually get new attacks or abilities, you just buy them, it’s basically just the sticker system except you aren’t screwed if you run out of those special attacks you just buy

6:47 I think I have the explanation, the other bob-omb type party members were special bob-omb with special abilities that'd let them explode the many times they wanted, Bobby is just a regular bob-omb
Unless that nonsense was established in the game or previous PMs, the idea of "special" Bob-Ombs that do actually die when exploding as more than just a gameplay mechanic is headcanon and doesn't justify Bobby's death. Also, you fight a regular Bob-omb in the Glitz Pit. He's still fine. You also have TONS of regular Bob-Ombs in Fahr Outpost that explode to fire the cannon. They're fine. I think one even says that they LIKE exploding. There's also the guy that has a crush on Bombette and the other Bob-Ombs in that group. Still fine. There's no reason to believe Bobby is somehow special, or rather, that the others are special and he isn't, causing him to die when exploding.
@@espurrseyes42 Could it not be possible that Bobby is MANUFACTURED unlike previous Bob-Ombs in the series that come back when exploding and even then regular and generic Bob Omb enemies that look similar to Bobby in the first two Paper Mario games explode and stay dead like Bobby. And even THEN, could there also not be the possibility that the “Sticker Star” trilogy Paper Mario games take place in a different continuity from the original Paper Mario trilogy games?
@@Rediscool9 It bares the same title "Paper Mario", so I'm judging it under the same rules, and according to early PM rules, Bob-Ombs dying from exploding is a battle mechanic only. None of your partners die. None of the NPCs die. That one you fight at the Glitz Pit doesn't die. There's no reason for Bobby to die that isn't just headcanon and theories.
Sin 34: thank God you mentioned this. If anything Bobby's death pissed me off cuz we've had bomb allies who blew themselves up to attack and were fine. Felt like a unesscary death just for plot.
@@BurningFlamesofDivineDragon same logic as bomb from angry birds movie to be able to explode and not die like in-game i guess Maybe bomb allies are rather bomb-shaped machines that produce an controlled safe explotion around them while normal bob-ombs are literally walking bombs waiting to blow up in your face I mean, the explosion force in both is also different
Well, Bobby was one of the mass-produced Bob-Omb´s made by Bowser´s Workers. And all of those Bob-Omb´s they made are black. Bombette (from Paper Mario 64) and the other pink Bob-Omb´s (from Super Mario 64) were organic Bob-Omb´s because of their different Color.

Actually the game does tell you to go get the hidden block unhider and the Lamination suit in the message system that pops up on the top of the screen. Also most hidden blocks are pretty easy to see with environmental clues like the one in the Water Vellumental Temple.
Since you didn't talk about the gameplay, I feel this needs to be mentioned: >Coins are piss easy to obtain, so you REALLY don't need to do most ring puzzles when you can just pay off the audience to deal damage to enemies and solve most of the puzzle for you. It's bad enough that battles are still mostly pointless, but now the whole gimmick of the combat is pointless. >But let's say you're somehow short on cash or just plain don't want to waste your money. Just ask for a Hint. Not because the Hint is helpful, but because pulling up a Hint pauses the action AND the timer WHILE still leaving the board in view of you to see what moves you need to make. You essentially wind up with the same issue as the previous one: The gimmick is pointless. If you actually run into a challenging puzzle and are worried about the timer, just press a button to get rid of the timer. BOOM. No stress to get the puzzle done quickly and no need to waste your mountain of money paying Toads to do the job for you. Overall, the gimmick is nothing more than a waste of time that you can easily workaround or buy your way out of. It really only exists to slow battles to a crawl that would've been over LONG ago if they just used the 64 and TTYD system instead of pushing gimmicks no one asked for and didn't work the first time (lookin' at you, Color Splash) down people's throats. And I could honestly go into more things like the sorry excuse for Badges and Partners you can't control and only have for the level you get them in and other things that just come off as pathetic attempts to appease Classic fans. These things exemplify the same thing Know-It-All Toad did in CS: The problem with modern PM isn't getting fixed. Nintendo/Intelligent Systems is just creating unneeded stuff to workaround the problem (while causing others in the process). They're still drinking all that water to piss out the soda they drank instead of just not drinking the soda anymore.
Also, if you literally take a screenshot of the board, the puzzle is literally useless, because the game pause when you get to the home screen, and you can solve the puzzle on the photos
The worst for me is How and Why the gimmick battle system is pointless. It's 'cuz you don't earn anything exept coin.... that you alredy use to get the thing to attack your enemies! So, no Exp system that could.... you know, give you more time to do the puzzle or give you more atk stat since you deal a lot of damage in this game... or even something else. At least more than NOTHING! (And also, really like your Profile Picture and Username)
@@dieghautdeforme5049 Even SPM had an EXP System that encouraged kill enemies. It wasn't anything remotely as freeform and deep as the 64 System, but an alternating +5 HP and +1 ATK is still something. Also, thanks.
6:44 My theory is... he used the FULL power of a Bob-omb. We can see Bobbery getting hurt after an explosion (if we don't land the Stilish move), meaning that exploding could be fatal for him. So, with this logic, I presume Bombette and Bobbery didn't used their full power: they cointained/limited their explosions. And also I don't recall those two exploded rocks that where that big, so my theory can be valid. HOWEVER... in PM2, when the Bomburg cannon shots us to the Moon... I doubt those Bob-omb wouldn't use their full power. Sure, if they cointained their power to shoot someone in the sky, I GUESS it can still work, but why risk it?
8:57 actually the reason why the stairs still work is that the part of the tower that rotates is the outside walls, not the stairs itself that is rotated.
6:35 I've heard a fan theory about why bobby dies permanently here. The theory states that there are two kinds of Bob-Ombs, the "Natural" ones and the "Factory/Synthetic" ones. This could explain why some Bob-Ombs explode while others don't, because the Factory Bob-Ombs were specifically created to be one-time use explosives mass produced with what are basically modified blueprints of how a Natural Bob-Omb is made.
I want to quickly toss in my own extra sin for this game, leaving Olly and Olivia almost completely irrelevant in the game's plot (and dare I say, its themes) even though they're supposed to be _siblings._ Your companion has a direct relation to the game's main villain and yet it does almost nothing with it - Olly and Olivia interact with one another twice, maybe thrice throughout the entire story. If they leaned into this dynamic more, they could've created the most interesting character relationship since SPM, but instead you don't see either of them do anything significant until the ending. If I were involved in this game's writing, I would've suggested just making Olivia fold Olly instead of the other way around. Then Olivia messes up somehow, maybe not doing the Fold of Life correctly or being too immature to know better than to write some sappy message onto Olly's body. Now when Olly becomes vengeful and evil, it's Olivia's fault for creating someone who's done only bad for the world, and it lets her have a character arc where she learns to take responsibility for her actions, and how to be a better big sister/mother for Olly. Boom, now Olivia is an actual main character instead of a kid that Mario takes along on his adventure, and Olly has some more depth to his character than just blowing up over one injustice.
1:28 I think I can provide a reason I actually watched a video by ZXMany that explains it: Olivia has to be in close proximity to Mario in order for the circles to activate, before hand Olivia was behind a barrier but still nearby, here and later when Olivia is grief stricken, Olivia is very far away, meaning the circles won’t work
I have a theory why we could use the thousand fold arms before we meet Olivia. Olivia was using the magic from where she was, which was behind the wall, but in knocking off the tree, shes not as close as the last time
Well it's kinda sad that this serie is coming to its end but at least I had a ton of fun watching your "reviews" some of my favourite games, thank you !
3:10 Oh my god, all those separately coloured letters...all the command codes needed to do that...the text file must be a bloody nightmare for this section.
22:17 Ah yes, Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam Jokes aside, this video was well done. Nice job Charri and congrats for completing the Mario RPG Marathon (at least for now lol)
16:15 Luigi thinks the key to Bowser's castle is the key to peach's. We learn what peaches key actually looks like and it's almost nothing like Bowser's. Which means that he ether doesn't know what peach's key looks like and assumes Bowser's key is peach's based on some vague description he has gotten at some point. or he's seen Bowser's key open peach's castle the assumed the key IS peaches. if the latter that means bowser's key opens peach's castles or did at some point. So why did bowser at any point have a key that opened Peach's castel? The implication that peach at any point thought the man who constantly tries to kidnap and marry her as well as conquer and oppress her kingdom might have been trustworthy enough for or have a valid reason to need access to her castle at one point is.... interesting. also he (Luigi) mistakes many other keys for her key meaning either all THOSE keys work on peaches castle or the key has been so vaguely described to Luigi that he CAN'T assume any of key's he finds aren't it. interestingly we don't seem to ever test any of the keys we have on the door to peach's castle, we know it's locked when we try to open it and can't and we naturally assume that all our others keys only open the doors that they have opened and not the one to peach's castle. It would be hilarious if any old key that we had opened peach's castle, and who knows maybe that is the case, it could be a lock that any skeleton key can open, maybe because some parts peach's castle is open to the public? IDK it would be funny and on brand for paper mario tho.
I find this was a decent game. I would replay it if it wasn't for that jeopardy like game near the end. I hate memory games so much and that broke me. The music was awesome but the combat system was lacking. Aww, Mario petting Olivia's head in the thumbnail. 6:47 - 6:57 Bombette and Admiral Bombery were unique kind of Bob-ombs, that could explode WITHOUT dying. But the thing about Bobby is that, he wasn't unique. He was just a regular Bob-omb with an unique *kind of lifestyle* only. That's why he died.
@@uroskesic6117 That's literally what I brought up. But physically, he was just another regular Bob-Omb created in a factory. He wasn't as physically strong as the other characters I mentioned.
No mention of the fact that they get us emotionally invested in the death of a Bob-omb at the beginning of the game, only to have Mario commit mass Bob-omb genocide as a means to an end in order to get to the final dungeon? For the in-game puzzle solutions, I wondered if the developers even knew that online guides exist. Then I remembered that it's Nintendo and I'm not entirely convinced that they know the internet exists.

I will say one thing that is kinda sin worthy not mentioned in this video is the 102% completion. On top of what's mentioned in this video for 100%. There are two end credits pictures that only show up when the conditions are met. The first is not using the battle gear, such as hp booster not equipment. Which does mean you would probably stock up on more healing than normal since you cant regen health via one shotting fights. Not a big deal in that regard. The other one, which is an issue, is that you cannot game over once in the entire play through. 1 up mushrooms are fine but the game over screen cant be triggered. This is the problem as their are many instances where you just game over immediately and not even the 1 up stops it, such as paper macho unchained chomp. You get all the way to shy guys finish last, whiff the bonus round, and have to restart the run in its entirety because of that. It's such a painful moment. I get that these are meant as more of a challenge reward and aren't mandatory or even needed for completion. But it just feels like a slap to the face once you know of these as you likely break them pretty quickly in a blind run.

another theory suggests that Bombette and bobbery are organic bob ombs and Bobby an industrial one, the main difference between both (aside from appearance) is that Industrial ones have a massively destructive explosion but die in the process while organic ones have weaker ones but can be repeated without risk (after bombette and bobbery only cause small holes on already cracked walls while Bobby destroys a massive intact Boulder)

People that don't trust autosave: "this is fine"
Snowpoint City Gym wants to say "Hi"
With autosave, you never know when it is safe to turn off the game.
@@davinchristinoyou do though, every time a game auto saves at all it allways shows that using a save icon in the corner. Haven’t you noticed that.
@@starrypines590but the game auto saves whenever you go into or out of any room, so you can already save on a whim just by using a loading zone
There are also two hidden achievements that you forgot:
To be honest, I thought exactly of this as well. But I dont know if Charriii5 knows about those, otherwise the game deserves at least two more sins.
Those don't affect getting the Secret Ending scene or "100%" however.
They're just extra 'achievement' bonuses.

This game establishes that bob-ombs DIE when they explode and uses it for emotional impact with Bobby, but later on has you use dozens of bob-ombs as AMMO. That's a sin for me.
thats the point. Bobby was representative of every bobombs life. theyre short. all they could ever hope for is a chance to make a difference.
Not to mention your bomb-omb partners from 64 and TTYD don’t die after exploding.
False, glitzpit. They Come back. Bobby was just thrown out because of terrible writing.
Hearing Toad voices everywhere and especially Olivia with a very notable accent like that was so torturous I’m sorry lmao
Something I like about the Paper Mario series is that the dialogue doesn’t have voice acting so in my head I can imagine different voices for every character instead of hearing them speak with generic Toad/Snifit etc noises which would become kind of annoying ngl.

I think I have the explanation, the other bob-omb type party members were special bob-omb with special abilities that'd let them explode the many times they wanted, Bobby is just a regular bob-omb
It bares the same title "Paper Mario", so I'm judging it under the same rules, and according to early PM rules, Bob-Ombs dying from exploding is a battle mechanic only. None of your partners die. None of the NPCs die. That one you fight at the Glitz Pit doesn't die. There's no reason for Bobby to die that isn't just headcanon and theories.

Actually the game does tell you to go get the hidden block unhider and the Lamination suit in the message system that pops up on the top of the screen. Also most hidden blocks are pretty easy to see with environmental clues like the one in the Water Vellumental Temple.
Since you didn't talk about the gameplay, I feel this needs to be mentioned:
>Coins are piss easy to obtain, so you REALLY don't need to do most ring puzzles when you can just pay off the audience to deal damage to enemies and solve most of the puzzle for you.

6:35 I've heard a fan theory about why bobby dies permanently here. The theory states that there are two kinds of Bob-Ombs, the "Natural" ones and the "Factory/Synthetic" ones. This could explain why some Bob-Ombs explode while others don't, because the Factory Bob-Ombs were specifically created to be one-time use explosives mass produced with what are basically modified blueprints of how a Natural Bob-Omb is made.
4:37 My sister and I got to this part and she got viscerally angry about how much you have to chase Bobby around.

I think I can provide a reason
I actually watched a video by ZXMany that explains it:
Olivia has to be in close proximity to Mario in order for the circles to activate, before hand Olivia was behind a barrier but still nearby, here and later when Olivia is grief stricken, Olivia is very far away, meaning the circles won’t work
If by grief stricken, you mean stuck head first in the ground

I guess that makes it closer to Ho-Oh which is also based on the Vermillion Bird of the South (I mean both Arcanine and Entei are based on Chinese guardian lions)
Ok, who the heck is that dark guy at 13:56?
Even if you don’t like this game you must admit the soundtrack is glorious
I never get tired of the accents you give the companions!😂
3:34 If this was the Italian version, I would have problem in saying "yes is the tin". For the other version in which the boss is called "Colored Pencils" I would say... maybe is still the tin, judging by the text that from rainbow becomes grey.
19:31 charrii vocals, god bless
Aww, Mario petting Olivia's head in the thumbnail.
6:47 - 6:57 Bombette and Admiral Bombery were unique kind of Bob-ombs, that could explode WITHOUT dying. But the thing about Bobby is that, he wasn't unique. He was just a regular Bob-omb with an unique *kind of lifestyle* only. That's why he died.
Yeah but bobby has more character and charm then them and talks about serious subjects with mario like death
@@uroskesic6117 That's literally what I brought up. But physically, he was just another regular Bob-Omb created in a factory. He wasn't as physically strong as the other characters I mentioned.
I love the voice acting. Perfectly encapsulates everything. Great job
No mention of the fact that they get us emotionally invested in the death of a Bob-omb at the beginning of the game, only to have Mario commit mass Bob-omb genocide as a means to an end in order to get to the final dungeon? The game even brings Bobby back up right before hand, in case you forgot that Bob-omb death is real in this game, and the legion of them on Bowser's ship just tell you that they're happy to throw their lives away for you! Well, for Bowser, but in this instance, it's the same difference, and it's Mario who's at the kill switch!
thats the entire point of Bobby. to bring character to the disposable bomb characters with insanely short lives. they all just hope to make a difference, and by helping their master make it to the castle then their lives had meaning
Really liked the voices you gave to the characters, kinda made me wish we had a dub of the whole thing
I really enjoyed Origami King. It might not be what the Paper Mario fanbase wanted, but it's still a pretty good game

@@SpringyGirl69 Nintendo should remove the turn based battles then. They're pointless and bog down the game.
For the in-game puzzle solutions, I wondered if the developers even knew that online guides exist.
Then I remembered that it's Nintendo and I'm not entirely convinced that they know the internet exists.
Why would they need to be concerned about guides? Its a single player game. You want to ruin the point of playing a game following a guide the whole game, that's on the player not the developer
@@gabeskai But would using the in-game solutions be any more… honorable?

22:16 Ah yes, thank you so much for watching the last Paper Mario switch game : Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
Ok sorry that happens to the best of us
I'm surprised you didn't Sin the game retconning the fact that draining a character of color is supposed to kill them.
What are the rules dammit?!
IMO Jr didn't die because he came out at the last moment before the Spring could kill him
Like Bowser at the end of the fight in Color Splash,he still had a drop of Color left which kept him alive
This is what I did to top off my paper Mario marathon leading up to this game, and playing the game was amazing. honestly the different battle system made me WANT to fight, even if there wasn't a purpose.
And one more thing: I know this sort of comes off as a joke, but if you're reading this Charriii, can you do a Everything Wrong with Bug Fables video to make sure you get *Every* paper Mario game?
YES PLEASE bug fables next. Granted I loathed the battle system of this game (bosses were a treat).

Okay got to ask, on game sin number 57 which starts on 13:36 what is that "paper shadow creature" on the left of the dialogue bubble? Cause I've seen this part of the game and that thing does not exist. To further my point when they finish their conversation the thing disappears, so what is this thing a easter egg?
Your guess is as good as mine, and I thought I was going crazy when I saw it
I was about to make a comment asking about it myself, because I have no clue
I swear Charii put that in themselves. It doesn't look like anything in the game I've seen and I did have to fight all the foes in the game.
I actually looked at the wiki for info on it bc it looked cool and i thought it was a enemy.
And i let my sister give it a name because i didnt find any info. *she named it Cricket.*
6:00 Not to mention, as soon as Olivia realises they're tied up in Rubber Bands, THAT'S when they start to make noise
Why WEREN'T they making noise before then?
16:00 It's kinda clever in a way. In a 3D world, you have 3D portraits but also 2D portraits. I guess the same is true for the 2D paper world; they have both types there as well.
Wow, a video over a year in the making, this was a great time going through all the stories of paper mario with you chariii, can't wait for your next long term series
Charriii5 16:02 I’m pretty sure Nintendo mentioned that the normal and paper version of characters are canonically the same character so if that’s true then Paper Jam wasn’t canon
7:09 well actually, the real question is how is the spool, or, well, the entire THING IN THERE. I get the temple in the sand is a safety mechanism, but what about everyone else in the temple? SPECIFICALLY THE DJ HOW IS HE NOT SUFFOCATING

5:27 the Steve jokes have evolved
I’m not sure if it was intended but I always thought that only thinking all toads look the same was supposed to be a reference to the fact that the previous couple paper Mario games roads were all exactly the same unlike the first two. But maybe I’m looking into it too much
3:05
If I had a nickel for every time you referenced Dr. Doof, I’d have two nickels, but it’s weird it happened twice.

I mean, he literally shoots fire which he gains from one of the most ICONIC power-ups/items in the Nintendo universe (there's also the fact that there are TONS of other power-ups in Mario Games, including mario maker, that makes him shoot projectiles)!
6:33 My theory is he died because of the fuse of his friend. it was a Steel-like looking fuse while the normal Bob-Ombs have a normal hanging rope-like fuse, if that makes any sense. But this fuse certainly was different looking than the others! RIP though! >
