Is it just me that flinch evertime he put his finger in the middle of the compressed spring?
Recently, I did the Bilstein 4600s on my 2017 RAM 1500 and would I DEFINITELY recommend installing NEW strut mounts. If your going to be in there taking apart the strut you might as well replace it with new parts. It'll save you going back to fix it down the road.
I think I'll just return my order now
Lets look at the back of his head, so we get at a clear view of how to do the job.
My 5100s did not come with new spring perch's. The instructions showed that you have to take the perch of the factory struts. I did it, and it wasn't that hard.
You really could have not picked a worse video to put up for this. I laughed when he said to not put your fingers in the spring coils then does just that.
Really good shocks for the weekender. If they wear out, just remove then and send it back to bilstein.
By chance, do they sell a full assembly set?
If you opt for the higher strut setting does it require the upper control arm to be changed (to a modified type)?
In order for the alignment to be done?
Thanks for any clarification on that.
Why didn’t he replace his cv axle while he was in there???
If you lift both front wheels up and set the front on jack stands i bet you could avoid taking apart the sway bar links right?
Always sus when a ‘mechanic’ is using a claw hammer.
Or when they don't realize the vehicle is metric...
So all the weight is on the spring seat clip? No spring seat adapter
