- In the events after Revenge of the Sith, Vader was on the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi. He heard a group of Jedi would be meeting with him on a distant planet. Going to ambush his old master and attain his revenge, he was baited into a trap by several remaining Jedi who survived Order 66.

My one problem with Vader and Obi Wan meeting before they do in the movies, is it -really- takes away from the "We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the master." line.

His defeat made sense, his body at that time was still new to him and he did get overwhelmed, I've read other comics and he doesn't go down as easy as of that day even getting jumped!

I believe all it really takes is matching James Earl Jones's inflictions in Vader's speech, and editing it to be lower in post.
I can do Vader's voice perfectly. It's fun reliving certain scenes for my little brothers.

a great insight into sidious character that he works with lies to appear more powerful than he actually is. that's the beauty of his character that we actually don't know how much he had planned and how much just played into his favor cuz of luck and opportunity. the culmination of that is the duel with windu where i think we will never get a clear answer if he actually planned everything or if everything happened accidentally that anakin came to save him as it was the will of the force that sidious will build the empire within the prophecy of the chosen one.

Just shows how powerful Obi was, he beat 2/3 of Palpatine's Sith and then not only that they could never find him or beat him a second time after they got defeated originally

You neglected to mention that Vader was actualy lured by Master Shadday Potkin who "leaked" the information about the secret Jedi gathering. Potkin betrayed the other Jedi, 'cause they had no idea what she had done.

I wonder, Did Sidious actually care for Anakin. I know in the revenge of the sith novelization Anakin cared for Palpatine until his force lightning melted his face and than Anakin felt nothing but revulsion for the Sith Lord.

You should explain why the Jedi killed his ally before attacking Vader. I knew why he did, and could see it in the comics after I rewound the clip as well- however, it's never good to assume things in explanations, it's always better to assume you're explaining something to someone who doesn't know what's going on, hasn't read the comic, etc. but, still a great video! Thanks

I remember seeing the cover of this comic in a magasine alongside a bunch of other Dark Horse comics that predated Legacy, Kotor and Rebellion. Even as a child I wanted to know who these Jedi were and what happend.
Since they're doing stand alone films like Rogue One, they need to make one about Vader hunting the Jedi down it would be super awesome!

The Jedi Vader fought at the start weren't planning an ambush. Shaddy Potkin the one who called the meeting, thought they needed to take action, and led Vader there without telling the rest, planning to kill him with superior numbers.
