How many has grievous killed at once?
@@mr.anderson2218 hundreds, although not directly.
Grievous killed about 21 jedi. That is good amount because Qymaen jai Sheelal also known as Grievous wasn't force sensitive character.
@@vxo- but dude still having a hard time killing obi wan or Yoda tho
Ledgends makes a lot more sense than what we have seen so far in the sequel trilogy. 10,000 Jedi killed over 19 years in the whole galaxy during the Empire seems hard to believe. There must have been a hundred or dozens at least remaining during the events of episode 7. Luke being the only one alive seems improbable. You would think after the defeat of the Empire the surviving Jedi would have regrouped.
Lex Zastava nobody gives a shit
Some of the surviving Jedi from the old order eventually joined Luke's New Jedi Order

The problem with the canon storyline is that it focuses on the main characters, instead of fully developing a lore that Legends gave us.
I think it's only a matter of time. The canon is only, what, about 3 years old? The EU purge was in 2014, right?
Anyway, the EU was built up since the late 70s or the 80s I believe, starting with some of the early comic strips. Decades of lore and world-building went into it.
Occasionally I'll follow what is Kanon, but I personally will almost always follow what is said in Legends.
Calvin Matthews this why I only fallow the expanded universe it's clearly better
MDM 1492 They’re already making some seriously boneheaded decisions. The New Republic agreeing to not having standing armies is one of the fucking stupidest and most forced things ever. All for the sake of having the same power dynamic of the original trilogy, instead of a more balanced war like EU did.
“but canon was underdeveloped”
fuckoff, why the fuck would you accept legend to be purged then?

How many Jedi do you guys think should have survived, both for realism and story telling sake. Around 100 to 200 like in Legends, or only around like 10 like in Canon, or somewhere in between?
Fact Free make a video about: Did Rex know about Anakin and padmaes relationship
Did bad batch execute order 66?
I think it makes more sense that around a hundred or so survived because, the Jedi were all over the galaxy and had many temples and bases on many worlds, but we don't see a lot because most are either suppressing their abilities or hiding in extremely remote/unknown regions.
Fact Free kit fisto should have survived if he wasn't on the Jedi council and if he wasn't present for Palpatines arrest
Fact Free I think that canon had the right number. Also, what is Star Wars legends?
200 is too many, 5 is too few, i would go with around 50!

Why is the legends so much better
DXEmpire because Disney runs the new stuff.
DXEmpire cos disney fucked it all up
DXEmpire Because the Disney Canon is still Fresh and not as rich with lore at the moment
Why would you want the new cannon to be bare bones?
Legends had dozens of authors and decades of literature.
Disney didn't mess up anything, as some here would say. It's funny, those who complained about the prequels now complain about Disney messing up Star Wars. Some can never be happy.
Given time, I would say the actual canon will develop just as rich of a history. It was impossible to keep all of the EU because it made it basically impossible to create new films without completely copying. Making it Legends was the only real move they could have made.
If you were a Jedi that survived Order 66, what would you have done? I personally would have joined the Empire and become either an Emperor's Hand or an Inquisitor.

They better make some of the stories of the legends, canon. I mean it's highly unlikely that only five out of thousands of Jedi have survived the order!
Yeah I agree especially how scrubby the Inquisitors are in canon, I highly doubt they could have killed every Jedi beside Obi wan and Yoda.
Jemi Johnson Indeed, i've never been a big fan of the inquisitors or Emperor's hands either, i found the idea of Vader hunting the surviving Jedi down by himself, much better.
I agree but in Canon there where not as many Jedi as there were in Legends
Ronan Shandowninja Kanan mentioned in Rebels that there were thousands of Jedi before order 66, there were plenty of Jedi even according to canon, but most of them were not mentioned by their names!

Starkiller didn't exactly kill her.

I'm not exactly sure in what ways but maybe it allow for more force sensitive children to be born like the life force and mutants in xmen.
I thought grevious killed her in episode 3, it was in the deleted scenes.

This channel REALLY makes me want to invest my time into becoming a “true” Star Wars fan. And by true I mean, just not watching the movies for entertainment. I love learning about characters pasts and the things they went through and all the history.
How does one go about starting on this path?
Read all the comics
Lol.....well no shit. Is there a particular series? The best place to start? Canon va non-canon. Are there comics that arent really “endorsed” by the Star Wars community secondary to being created by some random shmuck who just started random offshoots?!? I need answers man!!!
absolutetuber ok that literally was the worst advice ever. I would recommend the Clone Wars 2008 tv show. It does a great job of balancing the politics of the Republic with the fighting of the War. You get a real sense of what how the Jedi fit into their roles as peacekeepers, and more of what the Republic actually looked like. It’s a great starting place that’s still canon
Plus, your thirst for understanding Anakin and his motives is very much quenched
Awesome! Thanks!!
You forgot Rahm Kota amongst a great many other survivors.
Oh yes! I used to play TFU on DS so much!
Kota was shown in the video
I prefer Legends canon when it comes to this. There’s just so much more depth and rich history there.
Also, does anyone notice that Obi-Wan aged a little too fast by the time of New Hope? Then again, he's lived through a lot, so I can pass it off from the stress and hardships. But if that's the case for him, what's the excuse for Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru?
As I understand, Kenobi aged very fast due to the strong presence of the dark side in Tatooine affecting his body
I don't think it's unlikely that Obi-Wan aged the way he did. No doubt the stress of exile affected his appearance as well as the climate of Tatooine.
@@chrisj984 Actually, in retrospective, I'm glad they did. In the sense that I can easily separate the Disney canon from the Lucas canon. The only ones I am willing to take into the Lucas era (aka Legends) is the final season of Clone Wars (as it was already part of the old canon) and Rogue One. But that's really it. I like the Mandalorian but it doesn't fit into the Legends universe. It's probably the only best thing that Disney has done, outside of the final season of Clone Wars.
@@AemiliaJacobus After some time since I wrote that comment, I agree. Plus, he just got out of a war and a major battle with a former friend, not to mention losing his entire Order and Republic that he had fought so hard for. So yeah, it makes sense that he would age the way that he has during these 16 to 18 years.
If anything, that question should be asked for Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen.
@@chrisj984 Oh, I agree. They should have adapted the books into the new canon, especially with their talk about wanting to have more stronger female characters. The legends lore is filled with them. And the Thrawn novels would have been amazing to see on screen, tv or theater.
Canon=what happened

@@Dollt28 actually that wasn't it. Much better. All Disney had to do was keep the best stories of legends and cut out the weirdness of the EU. Guess Disney does not believe in happy endings and fair fights anymore. Makes little sense that Disney turned its back on family and instead only focuses on mass profits.
Shadow 0440 of course legends is always better
I love Star Wars Univers
I find it hard to believe that out of all these powerful force wielders' only 5 survived and most where killed by the clones, they should've sensed the disturbance in the force or had quicker reactions or just been better soldiers to kill the clones, rather stupid
5 confirmed in the new canon. There could be as many as what was in the old. It's a big galaxy, and the canon is only just expanding.
Lyfe The clones DNA came from Jango Fett who was a bounty hunter and Jedi killer, he once killed 6 Jedi with hand to hand combat. So you can imagine what the clones were capable of and in the video he mentioned there was more Jedi but didn't have time to go over them.
Disney is weak. A force sensitive master Jedi could easily sense the brainless clones and waste several patroons before escaping to the outer rim before lunch.

Jedi life sounds depressing and sad. Just like any other culd member
The 501st I feel as elite as they are, are very underrated. I feel like we generally think of the lowest ranking jedi of being like Achillies, these insanely talented warriors, and the 501st just steamrolled them.
Could you rebuild the Jedi order with 200 jedi?
Luke did it with one
And then Ben Solo fucked it up.
Jel ha
The Order saw much darker days in the past. Almost complete annihilation has happen to both sides of the force. The only problem? Too much of one leads to the other.
Meetra Surik did it with like 5 Jedi
What happened to Kamino After order 66
Charles Harwood Well The population created their clone armies to Fight back against the empire but failed and It was used by the Empire to clone a Force sensitive army and was the sight of a Rebel victory where they capture Darth Vader as seen in the 2nd game in the Force Unleashed series
tfu is non-canon and was dumb anyway (they never captured vader)

canon wise it wouldn't make sense that they captured him just because they did in a shitty non-canon game doesn't make it logical
+Alpha Wolf SO IT NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED! Legends = non-canon. The movies, cartoons, lego star wars games, and some of the comics = canon.
Slender Man 186 Haha, get triggered by canon and non canon. Let's intensify the triggery:
Kaminoians created their own army of clones and use them to fight the empire. Boba Fett, with his knowledge of Kamino, assisted the 501st.
Gizor Delso activated a droid factory on Mustafar and the 501st imperials fought them.
Shaak Ti was killed by Star Killer
AND: Chewbaca died by saving 199 people and sacrificed himself to a flaming sun that was set in a collision course to the planet, in which chewie will burn on and scream his last roar
The old guy with the ponytail is General Koda
Yarrel Poof's death has not been covered in Canon yet, so that says he could still be alive around the time of Order 66. He escaped by getting an Order of 66 Pizzas. And when he returned to the temple he saw dead Jedi and Younglings everywhere. Believing everyone to be dead, he made fun of them and then escaped. Distracting the Clones with the pizza. Five Years Later he worked on the Death Star (In it's early days of construction.) as a chef. With Vader being completely oblivious to his true identity.
I feel I’ve heard of this before…
Something about an autonomous bird
Every time I watch Episode III the part where Yoda clutches his heart as Order 66 is executed always grabs me. He could feel Jedi dying across the galaxy by the clone troops that were supposed to protect and support them.
That and the scene when he senses anakin turn hit hard
Now we know that asoka tano is still alive because of madelorian season 2

Everything that happens in Legends is so much more interesting.

I’ve often thought that a great premise for a live action series would be Darth Vader systematically hunting down the ~200 Jedi who survived order 66.
Yo Yoda looks deformed in rebels tho 😂😂😂
Luminara Undulli (That how you spell it) was killed on Kyysheak (Too lazy to look on the wiki-pedia).

+GRM Master_Trainer She was in Legends, but not in Canon.
she was confirmed dead in star wars rebels. season 1
elykor321 Yes, after she was captured and tortured for a few years.
yeah but I was under the impression she died during order 66 and then just used as bait.
What is Shaak Ti's confirmed cause of death? As it was Star killer, then that became legends, I've heard she was killed while meditating, but that was also a deleted scene. So does she have a canon death? Is Disney claiming a deleted scene as canon?
A galactic atlas full of inaccuracies and an inaccurate force vision made vader killing her canon even though in countless other material she survived one instance being exile on Felicia the other recording a holocron ( in a canon comic) post order 66... it'd be safe to assume that master Ti survived initially and she may or not have survived the entire purge.
Cal Kestis is now another person who survived
Joyce Love I was thinking that too
And in new canon lore Cal Kestis too has survived
4:39 you guys can’t change my mind that, that guy looks like TehTerroriser
There were also Jedi that managed to survive Order 66 in-part because they had removed themselves from the Galactic Community through many different means.
Ikrit was a Kushiban Jedi that was trained by Jedi Master Yoda, discovering the Golden Globe in Yavin IV containing the souls of thousands of Massassai children, Ikrit sought a way to help free them and went into self-imposed exile and a meditative trance for the next 4 centuries, only waking up when Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila found him and helped him break the curse of the Golden Globe. Ikrit would later die during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Celeste Morne in-particular was trapped within Drepya's Oubliette on Taris in 3963 BBY, where she and the Murr Talisman that she possessed remained until the Oubliette was opened by Darth Vader in 19 BBY to find a way to overthrow the Emperor, only to have the power of the Muur Talisman to be used against his soldiers turning them into Rakghouls. Celeste Morne would escape into the galaxy to uninhabited worlds to keep the Rakghoul artifact contained, only being encountered a century later by Luke Skywalkers' descendant Cade Skywalker, who managed to help him defeat Krayts One Sith. By far the (arguably) OLDEST surviving member of the Jedi Order, Relin Druur was thrown forwards in time while aboard the Sith Dreadnaught _Harbinger_ in 5000 BBY, due to a fault in the dreadnaughts' hyperdrive: and would emerge into normal space just 41 years after the Battle of Yavin three decades after the Galactic Empire was long gone.
How did Palpatine and the rest of the galaxy view the clone troopers, did they think of them as disposable pawns or did they respect them for killing off the Jedi
Madman107 The galaxy I'm guessing thought highly of them they killed nearly thousands of Jedi's and plapatine didnt give a shit about the clones.
I don't like Canon's version on this video legends is better
Why do you feel that way?
+Naboo The Stoner Shamen simple, they threw out so much good stuff (the Darth bane and plagues books, the dark horse comics, the thrawn books, FUCKING REVEN) and replaced it with nothing. Sure there was some shit, but it was FAR out weighed by the great stuff.
Legends is always better believe me.
I hope they make a new star wars movie based on clone wars era
Or Tano: A Star Wars story!!!
3:11 avengers star wars crossover
See, and this is why legends, in many respects, was freaking incredible that everything that has now come after Disney's purchase is subpar
I'm literally just now finding this out. I love lore around things and star wars fills in blanks...
Well now you can add Cal Kestis to the list of survivors in canon
4:39 even a terminator was a sith.
4:40 get to the chopper
OK 60 - 70 Jedi, that's great but joining the New Jedi Order would make more of them
Y'know what I want to know? What happened to the clone troopers after Order 66, specifically ones like Cody, Bly and Appo. Because Legends stated that while most of the 501st legion were destroyed (so that rules out Bly and Appo), and Cody was presumably killed by Starkiller on Kamino. But since Legends was wiped from the canonverse, I really want an explanation.
0:15 we now know from the fallen order game which is canon that 4 more Jedi survived
The 200 who survived might not all have survived. The Jedi had another attack if I recall correctly after order 66. So really the most powerful surviving makes sense. But at the same time I think 25-50 should be the right amount. Also I would love if Disney does it to where some padawns survive the media temple. Somehow get smuggled off the planet by a Jedi master who dies or a bounty hunter who has a change of heart. Then so a comic series about the kids surviving the Empire.
"Self exiled themselves"

could you tell me what is the source for the video at 4:23 and who are these jedi at 4:36 and after 4:36 if possible?
Cal kestis
One of the few ways that Canon was better than Legends it really makes Palpatines machinations all the more devastating.
0:41 I honestly think the special editions should’ve added Qui-Gon. He was probably one of the last true Jedi who understood the force and didn’t think much of politics.
He never mentioned Darth Krayt...
1:36 the live action Star Wars rebels
The question now is which meme lords will survive article 13
So your'e telling me that NO jedi who died during order 66 clutched up in the gulag? Not even one?
Knowing how powerful Vader was Luke was able to take him on Luke is a beast
Well Luke basically received both Yoda's and Obi Wan's strength, right?
@AnimeIndo Ofc. Luke is the son of the chosen one.
