Based on the new triology - which is a bad trilogy - and the older comics about after palpa-death, the whole chaos thing became truth. The Republic never came back again. No central or side power came even close to Republic or Empire level. The galaxy became divided, with constant fights, rebellion, pirates and whatever. So basicly chaos.
"The aim of a Stormtrooper and missed Alderaan"? The aim of a Stormtrooper is a good one. Look at the attack on the Tantive IV (the Rebel ship near the beginning of A New Hope). They have a very good aim in that scene. Later in A New Hope, we see dead Jawas and hear Obi-Wan Kenobi say "And these blast points, too accurate for Sand People. Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise." Pay attention to the latter part of that statement and the Imperial attack near the beginning of A New Hope. The Stormtroopers on the Tantive IV and those that killed the Jawas are not Clone Troopers, because most of them are retired by the time of A New Hope. The whole meaning of their bad aim on the Death Star was because they got orders from Darth Vader to let Luke, Han and the other main characters get away so they could lead the Empire to the Rebel base. So the Death Star actually had the aim of a Stormtrooper, just not the aim you would think. The question actually is just "What if the Death Star [section deleted because it contradicted with facts] missed Alderaan?"
Then Luke would have woken up, had Mara Jade chew him out for drinking unpasteurized green milk and then trained Rey properly with his son and remained, not evil nephews and niece.

The Jedi created the very thing they feared by the dogmatic application of the Jedi codes. The Force, in their reality, is a natural element to life as we all know. So it made no sense at all that to become a Jedi one must forego all of the things that make life not only possible but enjoyable. I mean, what does a Jedi do for fun? It seems they exist as a cross between warrior monks and a secret police force. In their off time they don't do much more than train and perform force tricks. The very thing that started Anikin's fall was the fact that he learned of love before he began training and encountered the object of that desire as a hormonally-fueled giant teenager. He was already on the way to Vader because he couldn't openly have a girlfriend. And how did Obi Wan miss that? Or the Jedi council? Ultimately, since the Jedi could never have possessions, attachments, family or even a place to call home, what was the point? Light or dark; choose grey.
The super boring explanation but completely true one is George Lucas was far too over inspired by Joseph Campbell. Instead of picking one religion and basing Jedi off them, Lucas based Jedi off of what amounted to a completely averaged out blending of everything. That's why sometimes Hallmark greetings cards are more profound than Star Wars.
It is kinda weird that "ancient prophecies" seem to follow the Skywalkers everywhere. This isn't the first time that Vader has had an ancient prophecy be about him. And I'm not just talking about "the one who will bring balance to the force" prophecy from the prequels. Star Wars Clone Wars (2003). Near the end of the series, Ankin Skywalker and Obi Wan find themselves on an arctic and fridged planet. There they find a local tribe that shows the two jedi an ancient prophecy painted upon a cave wall. The paintings depict a long haired figure, missing their right arm, and using "magic" to defeat his foe and save the tribe from the great evil. (if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend watching that episode, if not the whole series.)

Anakin would definitely be captured and the droids would eventually detect Obi wan after he goes where Anakin was, but they would focus on the chancellor and Anakin so Obi wan would be able to catch up. If Obi Wan died then Anikan would still not get the honor of killing General Grievous. Instead Mace would personally hunt the General because he wouldn't trust Anakin with that task. Mace would then kill Grievous and would attack with his 187 legion. When Mace jumps down in front of Grievous he would say "This party's over". Shaak Ti would temporarily be put in charge and Anakin would end up telling Shaak Ti what happened. Shaak Ti and the same three Jedi Mace took with him would confront Palpatine and attempt to put him up for trial. Palpatine would swiftly kill the first three Jedi then he would toy with Shaak Ti, but he would not allow her to overpower him before Anakin comes (he knows she is not as hot headed as Windu and might let him stand trial which Palpatine would just win anyway but it would be easier and more likely to stop the Jedi if he can just say it was an assassination and the trial still wouldn't create as much of a legit reason to wipe out the jedi he would lose time and need a better reason to justify order 66 and would expose himself as an enemy to the jedi) so he would just kill her plus he doesn't want a useful Jedi surviving witness. Then Anakin would find the corpses and Palpatine would say that the Jedi attacked him and he had to defend himself. Anakin would ignite his lightsaber again and point it at Sidious saying that Sidious will be taken to trial. The evidence would support Palpatine and he would win the trial and would say that the Jedi are no longer fit to protect the galaxy. He would plant fake evidence to make it look like Jedi wanted to overthrow the Republic then he would just use that as an excuse to execute order 66. The Jedi would hear about the trial and they would have more discernment. Mace Windu would survive but most Jedi would still die. Palpatine would still convince Anakin to help him and Anakin would be guilty about letting Obi wan die. Anakin would lead the attack on the temple But, this time the attack was more delayed since Palpatine actually went to trial first. Yoda would challenge Palpatine But, after Anakin kill his first handful of Jedi and the 501st infiltrate the temple he would run into Mace Windu. It would be an intense duel but, Mace Windu would use Anakin's confusion and rage against him. During the duel Mace would cut Anakin's legs off and capture him. While Mace was fighting Anakin, Cin Dralling and the temple guards helped the other Jedi wipe out the Clone invaders. Anakin would be held captive by Jedi that take him into custody. Yoda would still tie with Sidious But, then Mace would jump in the fight late with a few Jedi knights. The Jedi would swiftly kill the shock trooper reinforcements while Mace duels Sidious and once Yoda gets back in the fight they would kill him. The Empire would be destabilized but the clones would still be hunting Jedi and the temple would be evacuated and would eventually be destroyed by orbital bombardment.
Padme would be broken by the events and would visit the captured Anakin and forgive him. A non-force sensitive group of elites would use the situation to take over. They woukd start recruiting soldiers in addition to their clones. Yoda, Mace, and the Jedi would have to go into exile for years to come. Eventually the Jedi survivors would keep training new Jedi to help Rebel Alliance forces overthrow the Empire. Anakin would be pardoned and given a chance to help undo the wrongs he caused. Anakin would get robotic legs and would go on various missions to find out how to deactivate the Clone chips. Mace would want the device to be used to kill all of the clones but Anakin would find a way to deactivate the order 66 function without killing them (if we are going by the legends storyline then the Jedi just have to wipe most of them out) and the would also need to make a campaign to improve their image.
Vader's revenge fantasy as depicted in the comic is everything a good comic should be, those are some of the coolest panels I've ever seen. Vader's suit turning white is a brilliant touch and extremely emotive imo. It's amazing to think that Vader wants revenge more than he wants his natural human body back and even more than he wants to be reunited with his wife.

sand cannot kill a person, unless inhaled to the point of suffocation. i don't beleive anakin would inhale sand to the point of suffocation unless he was suicidal before he became vader. in that case he could've found hundreds of ways to commits suicide without the use of sand.

Vader's revenge fantasy as depicted in the comic is everything a good comic should be, those are some of the coolest panels I've ever seen. Vader's suit turning white is a brilliant touch and extremely emotive imo. It's amazing to think that Vader wants revenge more than he wants his natural human body back and even more than he wants to be reunited with his wife.

sand cannot kill a person, unless inhaled to the point of suffocation. i don't beleive anakin would inhale sand to the point of suffocation unless he was suicidal before he became vader. in that case he could've found hundreds of ways to commits suicide without the use of sand.
