      +Kaitlyn Cleary it's a thing in japan to say "yes" to let the people know you're listening, apparently, so "yes" doesn't mean "yes you're right" or "Yes i agree" but mostly "I listened to what you have to say", as far as i know :D

    Way to go Sharla! The horses in Iwate are indeed huge, not in height but I guess more muscular than the ones we're used to see in the West, because they were most used to carry weight in the snow. (So I was told when I went there!) lol.......

    Tono is known as 遠野物語 and Folklore. actuallty, it may not so popular for young people, and a lot of youth people leave from Iwate too.

    Mountain villages in Japan are among the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The village I visited was so beautiful I couldn't stop smiling from how beautiful it was.

      I know it's been 2 years, but I think watching English channels helps with learning the language 😊 I sometimes use English subtitles if someone has a strong accent and it's harder to understand them 👍

    here in Denmark we have some attractions similar called "frilandsmuseet" where you can go into original/relocated buildings from time period: more modern times all the way back to viking age and stone age.

    LoL, that horse was actually pretty small, maybe 10 hands (40 inches) tall. The smallest one my parents have is 12 hands (48 inches) tall, and most were closer to 15-16 hands tall. Horse height is measured at the top of the shoulder.
    The village was quite interesting, and I hope you get to do more like it.

    I like your new opening banner- and it looks like you (well, if you were taller!) But it's cute, so whatever. The village was really interesting- how long ago were the structures you visited built? Seems like there were many places in the world where people and animals were housed together, maybe that's why the houses are so big.

    Why do you do random noises when they tell you information? What do they mean? I'm assuming they mean that you are listening. But wouldn't a normal head motion suffice? I plan on visiting Japan so I want to make sure that I am doing things correctly and respectfully.

    懐かしいな。もう五十年も前になるけど、同じタイプの木の風呂だったよ。
    薪割と風呂を沸かすのは子供の役目だったんだよね。それと井戸水汲んで風呂沸かしてたんだけど、硬水だったのか?チクチク刺さるような感じで風呂が嫌いだったねw

    I've been to Iwate before and yeah the area was more like a village. The people were nice too :D hope can go there again. Your video is cool too
