I love Japanese history when it comes to the warring state period. My first ever experience of the history was of me picking up a book on the topic from the school library as a kid because "It had funny writing" on the spine.
Book was about Oda Nobunaga, and I fell in love with all the detailed pictures of weapons and armour.
Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'll be visiting the graves of the 47 Ronin.

Took me by surprise the Naginata class was only imparted by old ladies, but I did some research and it looks like is mainly a woman's art and is studied by women more than men in Japan, is the opposite in Europe. I guess I learned something new thanks to this video, thanks Sharla.

Nice outfit! I like it! :)
A castle is usually ready for 1 or 2 months of siege, however there are differences between European castles and Japanese castles. For example, a western castle often had just 4 or 5 occupying it and did NOT have a huge army in it as movies make you believe. It is obviously impossible due to needing the food and space for all those people. In some cases castles could hold out for a lot longer, in rare cases even up to 2 years.
Yet Japanese castles are usually having a lot more people in them. Which takes down the food and other resources that you can store inside your walls and thus decrease the time you can stay inside while under siege. This would cause the castle to be all out very quickly and you are forced to open your doors within a month.
I seen 4 of them before, the one pointed at, the 9 dots, top left and second from the right.
