Can you share your custom g-helper profile?. My sister recently purchased the rtx 4060 variant of the g16(2024). Upon unboxing and first use she pointed that it runs hot and I've been looking for a workaround that might help.
Incredibly video TYSM! For me, the built in Silent/Balanced/Turbo profiles have been working perfectly so I don't even feel motivated to risk tinkering with undervolting or anything, plus 100% fan speed all the time while gaming could get a little annoying/wearing. But the temperatures stay around 80ish degrees on high load which isn't bad.
I was lucky enough to not have McAfee or other bloatware preinstalled on my G14, so that was a nice surprise! I have the g14 4060 and installed g helper with your video. This is my first gaming laptop and was wondering how can I display frame rates during gaming and check my oled care settings with ghelper or some other way, thanks.
Ooooh that's an amazing model :) You would benefit even more from undervolting and a slight fan curve tweak, since that 4080 runs a bit hotter that the 4070. I would try it out!
While idle or during light tasks, the CPU should stay around 45-55. Anything above that and either something is running in the background, or something's wrong D:
85-90 degrees should be normal for prolonged sessions of heavy gaming loads. But if it gets TOO hot, I'd consider turning up the fan speed, and undervolting the CPU further (IF you know how that works, and the risks that are attached to undervolting).
I have the Asus TUF a16 with the Ryzen 7 7735HS and radeon RX7700s. Would you recommend the same settings as yours? This is my first gaming computer. I’m moving from console. Is the temp of 90c normal for these to run while playing games like COD?
Ultimate mode switches the laptop's display to the dGPU. This requires a restart, since the iGPU will be turned off completely. A direct connection to the dGPU means less latency, and better performance, but more power draw. If you turn Ultimate mode off, it needs to reboot to route the display back to the iGPU again.
@@crimsontechytI’m going to download it🙏🏻do you suggest any settings on G force before gaming ? Sometimes my G14 runs little hotter. I wonder if it’s related to settings
in the longest battery life profile at the end of the video can the undervolt setting/value be used for the 2023 model as well or should it be higher or lower for it? i need to maximise my battery for college use so I switched from armory crate to GHelper, to keep temps low and improve battery life
I have the 2020 version of the G14 with the RTX 3060, what are the best settings recommended for Turbo mode for best performance while maintaining good temps, my cpu always runs hot
If you uninstalled all Asus apps, it should already be remapped by default. If it's not, there should be an option to map it under "Extra", where it's called the "M4" button (Atleast on the Zephyrus)
I cant find in amazon that deliver to spain. Do you have some link or store? Im looking for the white g14 amd ryzen9 8945 32gb ram 1tb with the oled screen
It does improve battery life :) But normally the G14 (2024) should last around 10 hours doing basic tasks (youtube, word processing etc), so you might have your GPU enabled during whatever you're doing? The Nvidia dGPU drains a lot of power, so it's best to have it in eco mode whenever you need to use it for extended periods of time (disables the dGPU)
I’m about o buy the g16 rtx 4080 model. So if I uninstall armored core and install g helper will solve the heat problem? Or do I have to do some custom profile? Or just use the ones that exists?
Yes you can, but I don't think it supports CPU undervolting. Idk about GPU overclocking and stuff either, since older laptops had more restrictions on that
@@hoangne2512 If you get the RTX 4070 model or lower, absolutely the 2024 model. But the 2023 model can go up to a 4080 or even 4090, so if you can afford those... they're a LOT more powerful. But as a laptop, the 2024 models are just all-round a lot better.
@@crimsontechyt oh I see, since I just need the enough power while being portable enough to travel around so I think 2024 model is good enough, but I hope they fix the hinge. What is your opinion about the hinge, is it worth getting with that? And how much will it be at black friday tho?
@hoangne2512 The hinge isn't a problem at all, unless you type VERY hard on your keyboard :) I've had it for 6 months now, and i haven't had any issues with it. The RTX 4060 model regularly goes on sale, even as low as 1099$ at BestBuy, which is a great price.

Other than that, i always use silent while browsing / doing normal stuff, and turbo/manual for gaming.
@@crimsontechyt ty bruddah
I used the tool and pressed uninstall and it just closed after loading a sec and didnt uninstall armoury crate?
Nvm, the first file you run on isnt the file, extract that file then run on the next file and it works !
thank you so much for this video lol, great format and finally man. I was so worried about bricking this install. Wish there was some guidance for flow x13 too
Glad it helped :))
It's VERY similar for the X13, except that it supports some slightly more agressive overclocks
Hi! I finally got my g14!
How do you update Armoury Crate and my ASUS after deleting them?
Do you need to install them and update sometimes?
G-Helper is a full replacement for Armoury Crate and MyAsus, so there's no need to update them :)
All the updates you need will be available within the G-Helper app under Updates
@ glad to know that! Thanks
Can you drop a photo of your fan profile in silent/balance/turbo as well please? Thanks!
I showed my silent and turbo profiles in this video, and i keep the balanced profile as default :)
@@crimsontechyt Appreciate this! Thank you!!
does the asus armoury crate really affect performance that much? like fps drop wise and stuff
It's not a generational difference, but it **does** affect thermals and 1% lows, since it just has more headroom to work with.
Hey, my zephyrus runs 94-95 degrees on ultimate mode. İs it normal ?
If it's in heavy games, that's pretty normal, maybe a bit on the high end
@@crimsontechyt thank you
Nice video
I am facing the problem of screen retention on the edges of my Zephyrus G15 screen. What is the fix for that? What display settings to use?
I have the g14 4060 and installed g helper with your video. This is my first gaming laptop and was wondering how can I display frame rates during gaming and check my oled care settings with ghelper or some other way, thanks.
I have a g14 2023 4080. Should I leave g helper on default settings? or make some changes. I use for gaming and university
Ooooh that's an amazing model :)
You would benefit even more from undervolting and a slight fan curve tweak, since that 4080 runs a bit hotter that the 4070.
I would try it out!
how is your cpu at 47C while on agressive cpu boost, mine jumps to like 70C
While idle or during light tasks, the CPU should stay around 45-55. Anything above that and either something is running in the background, or something's wrong D:
laptop gets super hot playing Call of Duty MW3,up into the high 90s,what settings in G-Helper will help with cooling??
85-90 degrees should be normal for prolonged sessions of heavy gaming loads. But if it gets TOO hot, I'd consider turning up the fan speed, and undervolting the CPU further (IF you know how that works, and the risks that are attached to undervolting).
I have the Asus TUF a16 with the Ryzen 7 7735HS and radeon RX7700s. Would you recommend the same settings as yours? This is my first gaming computer. I’m moving from console. Is the temp of 90c normal for these to run while playing games like COD?
question, why do i have to restart everytime i switch the gpu profile from ultimate to anything and vice versa
@@crimsontechyt oh ok ty for the explanation, is it bad if i leave it on ultimate most of the time or is that fine?
@aksosa191 It's perfectly fine :)
The GPU fan will stay on, but that shouldnt be an issue.
@@crimsontechyt alright ty :)
Hi mate👋is G helper better than Armoury Crate ?
It's basically a better, lighter version
@@crimsontechytI’m going to download it🙏🏻do you suggest any settings on G force before gaming ? Sometimes my G14 runs little hotter. I wonder if it’s related to settings
@fuat27 As long as the CPU stays under 95, and the GPU under 85, it should be fine and working as intended
My Laptop keeps giving me the popup to install armoury crate even after installing ghelper everytime I press the ROG hot key, What should I do?
in the longest battery life profile at the end of the video
can the undervolt setting/value be used for the 2023 model as well
or should it be higher or lower for it?
i need to maximise my battery for college use so I switched from armory crate to GHelper, to keep temps low and improve battery life
Hi Crimson, I've installed Ghelper and it's been good. but it seems cannot recognize my rog peripherals, can this be fixed?
Unfortunately G-Helper only supports a select few newer peripherals, like the ROG Keris and such.
The dev is constantly adding new ones though!
Hi does it work on Asus Tuf f17
Yes, it should!
Can yo do it for Rog flow with RT 3070Ti? I downloaded G-Helper as Armoury crate had crashes
I have the 2020 version of the G14 with the RTX 3060, what are the best settings recommended for Turbo mode for best performance while maintaining good temps, my cpu always runs hot
Sooo do you think the 4050 veersion benefit from undevorlt too ?
Yes, the undervolt affects cpu performance, not gpu :)
It has the same cpu as this one as far as i know, so lowering heat is always better!
@@crimsontechyt okay thanks!
How do you remap the rog key to launch g helper instead
If you uninstalled all Asus apps, it should already be remapped by default. If it's not, there should be an option to map it under "Extra", where it's called the "M4" button (Atleast on the Zephyrus)
thanks for this video! this would help keep my g14 for long time for my work and college!!!
Hi thanks for the guide. I have ASUS TUF A15 FA507NUR 4050 model Ryzen 7435HS version. Guide stays same?
Yes, but you might not have CPU undervolting, GPU overclocking, or custom fan profiles.
would you recommend the best profile setting on the flow x13?
Yes, it should work great :)
hey @crimsontechyt do u know wherre to get this in Europe in white with the 4070?
Here in the Netherlands and Belgium they're pretty easy to find. Idk about Amazon, but they do deliver globally
I cant find in amazon that deliver to spain. Do you have some link or store? Im looking for the white g14 amd ryzen9 8945 32gb ram 1tb with the oled screen
can GHelper installed in rog strix g17?
Yes it can, but I don't think it supports CPU undervolting. Idk about GPU overclocking and stuff either, since older laptops had more restrictions
My charge limit not working .is it because I disable run on start up ?
Hi mr Crimson, does this custom profiles also compatible with the RTX 4060 instead? Or only slightly bit of a different? 😃 Thanks!
Yes, the settings will be the same for the 4060 :)
@@crimsontechyt on my 4060 i cannott set the GPU Dynamic Boost to 0W. The lowest settings is 5W 😊
@@bayualemania9781 Ahh probably because it already has a lower TGP. No worries
Many thanks!
Does doing all this improve battery life? I really hope it does my zephryus only lasts about 2.5 hours on battery.
It does improve battery life :)
But normally the G14 (2024) should last around 10 hours doing basic tasks (youtube, word processing etc), so you might have your GPU enabled during whatever you're doing? The Nvidia dGPU drains a lot of power, so it's best to have it in eco mode whenever you need to use it for extended periods of time (disables the dGPU)
I’m about o buy the g16 rtx 4080 model. So if I uninstall armored core and install g helper will solve the heat problem? Or do I have to do some custom profile? Or just use the ones that exists?
So, did you get better results than the AC?
@crimsontechyt
What is the minimum value you can put on the coolers? Is it possible to make it passive up to 90С degrees?
You can't force the fans to stay silent above 60 degrees, since that'd be a bit dangerous. Eventually the BIOS fan profile kicks in.
Can i use ghelper on ROG Strix G15?
Yes you can, but I don't think it supports CPU undervolting. Idk about GPU overclocking and stuff either, since older laptops had more restrictions on that
is my animation mode still there if i uninstall my armory crate?
Yes, it even has more slash patterns than armoury crate does :)
Is the G-helper works with the g14 (2023) and maybe asus tuf A14 (2024 with new amd CPU)
G14 2023 definitely, TUF A14 i havent tested :o
@@crimsontechyt thank you so much for your answer, and what do you think 2023 or 2024 is better
@hoangne2512 The hinge isn't a problem at all, unless you type VERY hard on your keyboard :)
I've had it for 6 months now, and i haven't had any issues with it.
The RTX 4060 model regularly goes on sale, even as low as 1099$ at BestBuy, which is a great price.
