    Thanks for this Ross. I wish I knew this a couple of years ago - it would have made one trip (towing) a lot more easier for the other half (and yes, it is annoying that you can’t turn it off permanently).

      Hi there, no worries at all, and I know, I am seeing that more and more on newer cars, come brands its can be permanently shut off like on Toyotas. Ross

    I've been given a D max car for work and I turn off the keep lane assist every time I start the car. For speed monitoring you can turn that off too and you don't have to do it every time either. When traveling at night time it's very annoying getting chimes and a flashing speed sign when going through 40kph school zones. Kids are not are not going to school at 3am. With a heavy canopy on the rear the Isuzu is quite under powered and requires a good boot full of acceleration to get it moving. The vehicle is a diesel auto as work got fed up with putting new clutches into vehicles. Yes work does all the servicing of the vehicles not an Isuzu dealer who only do warranty work if required. The previous Colorado didn't have all these idiotic "safety systems". Driving on bush tracks sends the system into almost meltdown mode for you drive over a rock and red warning triangles flash on the central display to tell you you're driving over uneven ground. The only reason they put all these idiot systems in is so they can get a 5* safety rating. But with the numerous messages flashing up on the central display these "safety systems" are anything but safe.

      I completely agree with you, all these safety features are just distracting the driver!

    Just got a 2022 D max cab Chassis with the same settings, for my trade I need a front H rack to carry 6-meter planks. Again, you need to turn off collision assist every time the car starts. I've asked them to turn all this off permanently, their answer is our NCAP ratting is more important than the customer’s needs, even though none of this garbage is not mandatory until 2025 equipped for new cars, and then it’s not mandatory to have it turned on.
    Other problems, RPM increase when you release the clutch by 300 extra. They call this idle assist, not much good if you want to creep slowly to a point in reverse, you have to balance the clutch with the brake instead of the accelerator.

      Hi Mr X, I hear you! I find it so frustrating that we are not even allowed to turn the features on and off on our own cars!!

      A mate at work tried that with his and got a constant message flashing up reading " camera unavailable clean windshield" to which he thought get stuffed. We have the latest models and they don't even have day time running lights.

    Hey mate. I just picked up my 2023 X-Terrain and I can’t turn off the 3 beeps it makes every time I come close to a line on the road. Even when I turn off all settings, beep beep beep. Changing lanes after letting the indicator flash 3-4 times before crossing the line, beep beep beep.
    Any suggestions or am I doomed?

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jordan, you should 100% be able to turn it off, its the lane departure alert that provides the audible tone not the assist. have you managed to solve it?

      Hi James, sorry I didn't make a video on that but it should be really simple, I think it is on the far right of the steering wheel, press that to turn on and off. or go into the settings and change the speed to the maximum.
