So this has been a day i've been waiting for for a while, and to be honest I didn't fully know IF this day was going to come.. but with some mega perseverance, and with the help of some amazing people on the way... WE ARE HERE!
Enjoy the video :)
This is amazing! A roll cage and some strengthening to the floor etc and this would be epic! Please keep it on the channel it's the best build to date
they is a full roll cage already in the relient from factory just not scene do the the fibre body i agree a frame needs meakinga nd a metal floor adding as they is no strngth now to the stock floor even if it just a frame from left side of chassy to the right side to hold the seat and other bits that need bracing
a roll cage is an essential item....I always remember as a kid on my BMX one Sunday playing in a tesco car park (the days when shops were closed) and these lads with a Robin were jazzing around the car park and of course they went and rolled it, and some 5 year old kid went up to them and told em "you crashed because you had a wheel missing mister!"
Del & Rodney said they are proud lee 😂 you gotta spray it yellow now with a trotters decel on the side 😂
Gotta be done
Tit would probably be appropriate don't know if I can say that but I mean Rodney did about dels dream penthouse with the initials on the side mind you the vans got it in full.and then a blow up doll sticking out the back
Naah true rallysaki
That would be cool 😊
Completely the wrong car though :)
lol you need to pull the clutch in every time you change gear 😂
imagine having to explain this....
Not with a bike gearbox you don't!
@@bob521i Only if you know how to.
Not with a bike gearbox …if you are in the right rev range
Which he unsurprisingly wasn’t .
Even as a biker I suspect this would be tricky to change gear on ….especially on this disastrous creation
Not on a bike you don't
Absolutely brilliant lee, best project you’ve ever done, followed you since the early days and can’t wait to see the next project, well done, you should be proud 👍
As an avid biker, i absolutely love this series mate! Keep up the work Lee!
In Tamworth they are everywhere....but it's where they was built.....yep I've got one to...😂
Dont be scared you young pup! Your race survived the Bloody Blitz !
*Excellent. So glad you'll be MOT'ing the resin rocket!*
looking forward to the MOT
U really think this would ever be road legal haha 😂
Depending on the age it might be tax and Mot exempt
Ide seriously think about having one if road legal @CuriousGamer022
@@nitromad3662still needs mot its been modified
😂
pllls take that women out of the car
Why do people show 98% making and 2% driving. It should be 50/50 .
that’s why i always seek to the driving parts
that's why i made it myself
Id definitely be thinking of an external roll cage if at all possibly. Would seem a shame not to be able run this animal to the limits but your safety first of course. Great work, 👍
It's absolutely barking and I want a go in it! 😂
One of the best videos you've made , like this style of vid, well done!!
just remember clutch on shifting too! mental mate glad to see progress! and the ebc clutch is probably snappy too!
You need a gear indicator...cheap as chips and a doddle to fit....and find a way to tie the engine, gear selecting and gear lever solid mounted to each other as they are on bikes.
This is proper determination.
Every single video, with all the stuff that went wrong it's still got done..
If this doesn't inspire you to grab a wrench.. Nothing will.. 👍🏾 🤜🏾
Treat the clutch like a car clutch lad clutch on every gear else you'll fry it quick time lad sick that tho I'd bang some trolley wheels on front corners 😂
They would just break. Better to add a steel bar like on trikes.
Well done Lee - That was awesome ! - It just needs a little more work and it should make a great daily driver ! - You're a smart lad - I'm 100% Sure you'll sort it mate - Can't wait to see it in action in the next video ! - Delboy & Rodney will be so proud of you ! lol 👍👍👍
Great video, great editing and highly entertaining 👌
Gonna be so funny when this machine is fine tuned 😂🤣👍🏼
utter brilliant mate get those gears sorted and your away lee you know it makes sense
Awesome, I would get that clutch on a pedal, looks like you will have enough on your hands without having to think about the hand clutch
So want to drive it ! Great work
Awesome Lee lad absolutely brilliant fare play to ya.. can’t wait for next drive once safer to drive 👌👍🏻👊🏻
This for sure has the quickest 0 to A&e time on draggy😂
Yes the pigs alive 😂 well done dude. You might want to upgrade that rear axel.. One from a MG Midget will bolt straight on.. You might also need the brakes 👊👊 keep up the good work.
Try using the 'working' clutch when you change gear, you'll find it works so much better........
Absolutely brilliant!
As both a biker and car enthusiast, this has definitely been my favourite series on your channel!
Once you get the gear lever mounted more securely and can get all gears id recommend getting a gear indicator so you know what gear your in.
Listening to this makes me really miss my Westfield Megablade. It was so much fun on the road having 10k plus clutchless gear changes, flames out the exhaust.
Rodney you plonker!
Class mate definitelylook at making frame work stronger under the fiberglass for mounting the gear stick and the fiberglass shell... Great fun build....
That’s going to be a beast needs a full roll cage welding into it and I’d definitely want 4 wheels 😂
Motorbike gearboxes are so precise you don't need the clutch, to change up a gear just preload the gear lever and it will find the next gear itself as soon as you back off the throttle. to downshift, preload the lever and blip the throttle.
You might be able to fix the gear shift problem by using another cable, extend the bottom of the gearshift and the lever on the gearbox so that when one cable is pulling the other is pushing and vice versa.
This is brilliant make, please spend the time tidying it all up, this is one of the best series on YT 👍👍
Hope stays on the channel for a long time to come. Great content as always 👏
I think for safety, revision 2 should have a custom chassis/roll cage.
WOW, this build is just amazing 😂😂...but please pull the clutch everytime you shift 🙏🙏🙏
Would be good to make a floor pan for the front welded to the chassis with shifter peddle box seat bolted to that ant cut more of the floor out on the body to suit. You could even hinge the body at the back so it lifts up drag style
Love how this is hilarious….a why wouldn’t it be😂😂……it’ll be great further down the line when you’ve sorted out the botch work😎👍🏼
Like waiting for Christmas as a kid. Been dying to see this Frankenstein move.
The video we all have been waiting for. Good stuff.
Can’t believe you drilled the fuel line, luck you had some spare.
Get a kliktronic unit for the gear shift , lets you change gear via a set of buttons.
This is a quality build... Would love to see this properly kitted out to a decent spec! I'm loving watching this build!
This is fantastic, enjoyed this vlog, interested to see it whip fully and to see how you tidy it up a bit 💪🏻
Yeahhhh boy been waiting since the insta story for this one!!
It moves! This was so funny can't wait to see it get better and better 😂
Great project so far but seriously need to invest a roll cage and wheelie bars then it'll be fine 😆
It been a cool series putting a bike engine in a big green plastic bucket
The build the excitement is just prime e example of how us blokes are so easy to please and will never grow up
This is unreal I just wanna see it go through some gears now ! 😂
Come a long way after being sat on my mates driveway 😂 glad to see dug lives on!!
Hey #TH-cam thanks a bug for dropping this video as recommend....just by watching this video....i was having the blast😂....looks so much, its the driver who has having full oriented FUN...lol...keep up the fun stuff coming ...mate.....
it helps if the gears are moving, it'll be easier to put it in neutral while its running or being rocked back and forth
When you finally get it on the road you will probably need outriggers to stop it from falling over round corners lol!
Loving this build!! you deffo need to weld in a sheet metal flooring of some kind to strengthen it all up
So is that it ? Taking it on the true rally tour ? 😂🤩
That would be pure laughs 😂😂😂
is that it in terms of the build? no way.. we couldn't even go that fast! just wait
No I mean now it’s running and you know you’re onto a winner, is that a candidate on true rally 😂
In case you don't know most Kawasaki motorcycles have a positive neutral, if you put it in 1st gear and the prop shaft isn't turning it won't select 2nd it will only go into neutral.
The prop shaft will have to be turning for it to go into 2nd.
I thought i'd mention it in case you sort out the gear linkage and then spend ages trying to figure out why it won't go into 2nd gear when it's standing still.@@itsleelockwood
Fantastic! It's ridiculously funny and awesome at the same time! Reminded me of Mr. Bean 😃
I literally couldn't love this project more, this thing is incredible and terrifying xD
Mental but not the first Reliant bike engine swap i have seen. Good start, more work needed though. Good luck
Hey bud been following the vids. I'm a biker and watching u trying to change gear the first time u set of u was just trying to slam it into gear. You Guna end up messing the gears up as ur on the throttle as well.
You need to use the clutch for every change it will slip into gear easier once u sorted out the flex in the shifter.
Watch a few videos on how to accelerate on a motorbike.
Simple terms clutch gear power ease the clutch out.
If u wana just slam threw the gears a quick shifter will help not having to clutch gear power.
Also when u wana select N u also wana use the clutch just trying to slam it on won't help.
Keep up the work pal look forward to end result.
Another Fantastic Vlogs ever 👌
Makes no sense. Again
PMSL! Just AWESOME! well done fella, looking forward to more of this!!!!
Just fine tune it and it will be amazing.. great video but really waiting for the e30 videos
Absolute quality video man and a awesome build hats off sir 😎👌🏽
This is epic!!!! Have you seen that one doing hill climbing? its got a cbr1000 engine, wide rear arches, fatter rear wheels, big spolier and looks pretty low. Sounds brillaint
That is awesome! Only issue is are you not worried plod might turn up when you do these projects? Someone on that busy industrial estate is probably snotty enough to report you.
If a copper saw that thing on the road (even in that industrial estate, private land or not, still a "public place") I think he'd have a fit and throw the book at you! Bastards 🤣
I only mention it as I've had the same thing happen to me - on an industrial estate, while testing my just nearly finished noisy motorbike project just up a few yards and back.
Didn't even question me as it clearly wasn't complete, threw me in the back of their car and done me for no insurance.
If first gear on there is one pull back on that lever and the rest are forward, then you'll find it easy to find neutral by pulling back on the lever all the way back to first, then a gentle nudge forward. With bike gears, it's better to have the engine running and the gears all rotating when running all the way through the gears. Easier when the vehicle is moving slightly. You can't just flick through them when stationary like you can with a car. You also need to give them a lot more revs and just feather the clutch to pull away clean without kangarooing down the road😂.
You'll F up your gear selector forks, and that's probably a full engine stripdown to put right on that engine. Once you get the linkage sorted right, you should be able to just gently tap them gears home and back again. If that engine hasn't got a slipper clutch, then be careful on the downshifts in corners because that thing looks like it will just lock it's rear wheels on you if you just dump the clutch on a downshift. If it has a slipper clutch in that engine, it will be fine. When you get the hang of that clutch and gearbox, that thing is going to be nuts!!!
That chassis(and your bones) would definitely benefit from a rollcage😊. That's a fine and dangerous beast!
from looking at gear selection the shift cable needs bracing to the same metal that the selector lever is on and the engine side needs bracing to the engine mount brace that should stop the play would be very easy to do a foot clutch to swap the forwed for up gear flip the gear selector on the engine so the arm is at top rather then bottom this will reverse the selection and make it more what your used to even tho i think forwed for faster backward for slower makes more sense
Cool, love it. Hope you do get it roadworthy 👍
“Can’t select second” at the end, you were pushing it forward as you were before to get it from first to neutral!
All I knew when Reliant and bike engine combine some crazy Englishman was gonna flip it. Please cause carnage.
for the lever try flip the rod around you can then have pull to shift up and push to shift down its called GP shifting and common mod
Place the cable in a pipe lad. Copper pipe is easy to bend and won’t let the cable flex. Saves drilling anymore plates and can be attached to the base of the gear lever.
man, significant fact, spin more then 8k for second gear, normal range between 8-12k, release clutch fully, open throttle fully, on cold oil clutch always slips, twist throttle man, dont be coward. (and, when low rpm, and when you stays on place and younot roll, in kawasaki almost imposible to swich on to second gear)
Mate, this was amazing, but you need to get it safe, well as safe as possible and then give it some at least once, even if only in a straight line, gotta see just how crazy fast it is.
Use the clutch when u change gear bro 😂
Couldn't you just restore it? These cars are getting rarer and deserve to be preserved.
Na this is much better....
@@ChevyS10LSUK Would be if he done it properly.
Well that was definitely worth the wait!!! Fantastic effort 👌🏻.Say this every time but can’t wait for the next video!!!
Nice job mate commin together now.well done.👍👍
Put a second cable on the rear of the gear stick so it has a push/pull cable.
Now thats freaking sketchy!! I like it :)
back in mid 90s my dad took me to school in it and was yellow lol
Can wait to see this thing on the road definitely one of your best projects even though it’s one massive bodge job 😂
Mate I rarely comment! But man I cannot wait to see her finished!!!!🙏🙏 you are smashing these uploads
Lee I think you may have accidentally made a drag racing car here mate 😂 gonna have to take this to santapod!
The legend of Dan!
Need to get on Jamie’s OG battles
This is batshit crazy. And totally, insanely awesome.
That's goin to be a wheely machine I bet wen it's done if your not careful on that handle clutch 😊
Mad Video Lee 👍
Amazing video again lee
For the flex Lee why not carry on do what you’ve been doing make two plates and sandwich the body between the plates and make one big plate to run across the centre spreading the pull across the whole length rather than that one specific spot
Love the pace you get videos out, not waiting months for progress like my videos lol.
I hope you reinforced the mounts for the shocks…
Well done. Now take it to Melbourne dragway near York, with all the other weird stuff. A guy there races a garden shed with an Audi V8 engine. Not kiddin'. 😅
Cant wait to see a steel balled effort driving this thing haha
Pull the clutch in to change gear mate. It doesn’t have a quick shifter or auto blipper like modern bikes.
This is your second most viewed vid of all time.i noticed 👍😉
lee please use the clutch when trying to shift with the car off i wouldn’t be clutchless shifting in that unless at high rpm and letting off the throttle between gearchanges motorbike gearboxes aren’t necessarily like sequential car boxes
