@@the_unknown.chronicler I think from 2007 to 2012 ish during that year, the first Nissan GTR (CBA) before, has some Transmission issues. After 2013 model (DBA) above, Nissan fixed the transmission issues and better proves the car and less problems. Since first Nissan GTR R35 came out in 2007, wasn't that really refined car first and foremost.

Apart from the gearbox overheating, which can be easily solved by an additional oil cooler. That's the most balanced and well tuned GTR I have ever seen!
To be fair to my car after every 3 launches or so you have to do a clutch re learn to look after the clutch. But due to the amount of launches (about 7)that was carried out during this shoot without a re learn the car performed well considering

The great start traction and braking performance was by 95% caused by the fact that this GTR was on nankang ar-1 semi slick tires - google about them, they are formally street legal but no one in the world drives on them anywhere save the track, as they are soft clicks. But the rest GTR is also great)
I was Surprised to see how well it performed. Definitely didn't expected this result. Absolutely mind boggling perfect tuned Nissan GT-R. Looks mostly stock, but crazy fast with those hidden tune. Would love to see more races with this same GT-R
The moment I saw it looked stock I knew it was going to be doing business. I know those kind of tuners and they are always the most balanced and functional cars. He probably didn't go for 1600 hp because it would make the car slower in many ways outside of high end acceleration.
They used the wrong shot at 4:15 and switched to the Ferrari vs a 911 Turbo S 😂😂 should also add that the GTR with that sort of tune is my dream build, such good use of the power

That GT-R sounds absolutely epic!!! I know it’s fully tuned but still, the mighty Godzilla is STILL kicking ass and taking names after well over a decade of production! There’s just something about the sound of a Nissan V6 that I have always loved (like the 370Z and G37 both come to mind for me).

They can't do anything against carwow for broadcasting this but they could perhaps track down the owner and ban him from buying another Ferrari. They also have done that in the past.

@@South4153 exactly. Those 100tw AR-1s are barely-legal street tires that realistically would spend 95% of their time on a track or auto-x circuit. All of these things have brakes that are more than capable of locking tires up. Stickier tires dictate these brake tests almost every time.
Its all about how much power you can put on the ground. This was a proper tune no wheel spinning which is what usually happens when tons of power is added.
There’s no way to not launch the car perfectly lol it’s a brand new modern car, every person would launch it the exact same. Even someone who has never driven one before granted they don’t get scared and let off the gas as soon as they launch.
@@Smzxe The GT-R won with the same amount of power and has a *better* lunch control. Despite the SF90 having hybrid lunch the GT-R was faster.. Just prove how much better the ATTESA system is. And no, it has 1000HP, not 1200HP, stop downplaying the R35 with that.
The brake test seriously blew my mind, that was a huge difference. Even with upgraded rotors and pads the Ferrari still should have easily taken that one on paper. Very interesting!
I think the Ferrari has carbon ceramic brakes, which I think are better suited for racing, not for one-off sudden stops. You simply need to warm up the Ferrari brakes and they would probably stop before Godzilla : )
more likely due to the Ferrari being 'brake by wire'... I suspect the SF90 is trying to regen during braking making less effective than a good old fashioned pedal+master cylinder
In this one-time braking scenario brakes do not matter that much. Even the worst brake can lock up the wheels. Its more influenced by the tires and ABS tuning.

For what you get, that GT-R is a bargain compared to the SF90 Stradale at £90K. Thank you very much JDM Imports for bringing one of your insanely powered vehicles to drag race against this beast of a hyper car. I would be interested to see who would win out of a Bugatti Chiron or this Ferrari SF90 Stradale, as they both have very similar Quarter Mile Times. Still, Awesome Drag Race!!! This is one of my top 10's.
And has been for over 13 years at this point! Nissan just changed the entire game when they launched the R35 back in 2009! It’s been kicking ass on the drag strip for well 0ver a decade at this point! Remember when Jeremy Clarkson actually injured his neck testing the GT-R on Top Gear? And that was a fully stock one! Hell, the Stig’s lap in that car remains very impressive even to this day!

If you buy a new GTR today it costs about 100k, so with the tune that's 150k...which is still less than the Ferrari but then it's still a Nissan and not a Ferrari, and of course after you spend 50k on mods and double the engine's power output you're on your own if a conrod decides to go its own way, the Ferrari has warranty.

While, on the SF90's side, bet its not that comfy as a gtr on common roads. Lets say $150k for the GTR with the tunes applied, still more worth it lol. In my country you get a proper Black Edition used one (so not from the bottom of the list) for $130k
I work in the supercar sector, I can assure you that there is no great skill involved in this process! Once you have mastered launch timing on any car then you only need to practise, after that it is plug and play. To quote a auto journalist from some years ago, "....just driving a racing car does not in itself make you a racing driver".

This has to be one of if not the best tuned GTR I’ve ever seen. Every other GTR previewed & raced were poorly tuned. The owners just tossed a bunch of upgraded parts & “cheap” tunes to have a 1000+ hp number but this beauty actually performed. I was sure the Ferrari would win since it was engineered & built for 1000hp. This GTR was amazing.

Wow probably the first 1000hp tuned GTR that doesnt break down. And one in a very ‘sleeper’ appearance (well as much a GTR can be a sleeper) without massive body kit or wings. Proper tune that is.
That's because most of them are bone stock, they slap on plug-n- play tunes without upgrading the the internal engine components , suspension, brakes , transmission, driveshaft , axles, etc.
@@kingGfour there are at least a few hundred of these in the US. With a couple hundred more being over 1500 whp. Upgraded trans by PPG or Shepherd and they can do hits all day long

That is very very impressive indeed but I think the tyre difference is also a big factor here. r35 was using semi slicks whereas sf90 was using regular road tyres.
Awesome GTR performance, crazy sound and amazing braking from a car that is 16 years old versus a half million euros Ferrari. I can only imagine what next gen GTR will be capable about! Fantastic tuning without any body modifications! Gongrats to the tuning team

It’s the ETS overheating. This is a common issue with the GTR AWD unit, which is sealed and not able to be cooled via an additional oil cooler.

Daily driven 1000hp GT-R's is nothing new.They have been doing that in the US for years without issues.
The suspension is standard mate but the brakes are so much better than standard and was a must!!

While, on the SF90's side, bet its not that comfy as a gtr on common roads. Lets say $150k for the GTR with the tunes applied, still more worth it lol. In my country you get a proper Black Edition used one (so not from the bottom of the list) for $130k

I work in the supercar sector, I can assure you that there is no great skill involved in this process! Once you have mastered launch timing on any car then you only need to practise, after that it is plug and play.
To quote a auto journalist from some years ago, "....just driving a racing car does not in itself make you a racing driver".

This has to be one of if not the best tuned GTR I’ve ever seen. Every other GTR previewed & raced were poorly tuned.
The owners just tossed a bunch of upgraded parts & “cheap” tunes to have a 1000+ hp number but this beauty actually performed. I was sure the Ferrari would win since it was engineered & built for 1000hp. This GTR was amazing.
This level of tuning GT-R is my dream car. Love it!
Those shifts on the GTR even at low speed are brutal and I love it.

Wow probably the first 1000hp tuned GTR that doesnt break down. And one in a very ‘sleeper’ appearance (well as much a GTR can be a sleeper) without massive body kit or wings. Proper tune that is.
Usually you're lucky to get a single run out of these supertuned GTRs. This one slaps, though!
That's because most of them are bone stock, they slap on plug-n- play tunes without upgrading the the internal engine components , suspension, brakes , transmission, driveshaft , axles, etc.

1000 hp is daily driver level for a GTR. Supertuned is 1500 whp or more.
@@kingGfour there are at least a few hundred of these in the US. With a couple hundred more being over 1500 whp. Upgraded trans by PPG or Shepherd and they can do hits all day long

That is very very impressive indeed but I think the tyre difference is also a big factor here. r35 was using semi slicks whereas sf90 was using regular road tyres.
Awesome GTR performance, crazy sound and amazing braking from a car that is 16 years old versus a half million euros Ferrari. I can only imagine what next gen GTR will be capable about! Fantastic tuning without any body modifications! Gongrats to the tuning team
