@rarejd I have been reading up on it for a while. I've narrowed it down to the STI or the 5.0 Mustang. @rarejd the spec C in this video isnt a 2.5 litter engine.. JDM subaru engines are and always be 2.0 ( hope so) . they use the ej20 engine no 2.5 you can easily figure that out cos the jdm revs up to 8k+ and the usdm at 7 something? aprox? I own an ej20k myself and my redline is 8300 rpms bro!
The lotus is the only car there with track focused ao48 tyres, worth a couple of seconds a lap at least, so it's an unfair contest. The bmw is the most powerful but can't get the power down. All on sticky rubber, it would have been a really interesting race!
but the point is not to have to mod the car. I think the problem was that Subaru wanted to "Americanize" the car to make it more comfortable, but in the end they ended up making it less fun. Sure, it's WAY faster round corners than the previous gen, but, as KT says, the point of a fast tuner car is NOT to sacrifice fun for lap times.
7500 RPM launch for the STI. Dayum!
And the Lotus driver had a pretty damned good launch too, especially considering that the car is RWD.
The Lotus is incredibly light though... must have helped with the launch. The STi launch made me cringe seeing the shifter wobble like that

This video was awesome. Why did I find it that late?😅
I wish the Z driver rev’d to the real 8200rpm redline, might of had a better chance.
@rarejd the spec C in this video isnt a 2.5 litter engine.. JDM subaru engines are and always be 2.0 ( hope so) . they use the ej20 engine no 2.5
you can easily figure that out cos the jdm revs up to 8k+ and the usdm at 7 something?
I drive on this track! In forza motorsports
but the point is not to have to mod the car.
I'd take the Z any day. I don't care how slow they are, a convertible 370Z is one of the sexiest cars in existence. And they're fast enough. :)
@BarnettMotorsport if the Lotus didn't, what would the battle outcome be?
