    Wow ! That place is fantastic. I have seen a lot of very good places but I think this one probably beats most of them 👍 Enjoyed every second. Let us hope that no vandals find it !!

    Just catching up watching more of your explores after a break for a few years. In the last few days I've watched this one, Silent Pool mansion, Hope Mausoleum and the so sad one- (the substantially trashed it seems house full of the masses of hoardings of an old person)- Arthur's mansion. A big thank you for showing us all these amazing things. Deepdene World War 2 shelter (original video) is still my favourite and I keep coming back to it knowing the area well.

      Thank you for watching & commenting, I really do appreciate it, I only recently found Arthur's house was being posted on youtube as 'sleepy hollow' as Adam Mark & Dave from AWE & 'The ghost trail series' have all covered it nicely. Thanks again & stay safe!

      @@AbandonedUK Thanks, yes we love your work. By the way I should have mentioned- I thought when I watched your Hope Mausoleum outside of video- There's a tour you can go on 1 hour + round much of the Hope Family old Deepdene estate including round the top terrace and passing the (blocked up again -probably just as well) top, and bottom entrances to the Southern Rail WW2 shelter AND THE GUIDES ACTUALLY TAKE YOU INSIDE THE MAUSOLEUM and chat about all the caskets a good deal, I took my cousin & his wife on it a year or two ago, its arranged by the Dorking Museum, alas no doubt suspended for the moment, but in case you didn't know & ever want to go see here dorkingmuseum.org.uk/the-deepdene-trail/

      Thanks Darren, I went back a few day's after my visit & workmen's tools were inside & a dumper truck parked in front of the house, so I guess it's lucky I got in when I did. All the best for 2021, regards Steve.

      Thanks Wayne, I was searching for weeks, before someone posted the location, it's had a few different names already, went back for another look a few days later & ground clearance had begun around the house, I got lucky on this one!

    There's always thrilled when I see that you've posted a new adventure. It seems like it was quite a happy home for a time. Books, toys, games and a lot of original artwork suggest that there was a family of interesting people living here. Were they related to the actress Olivia De Havilland? Cheers, friend. Happy Christmastime and a Merry New Year.

    • @AbandonedUK
      @AbandonedUK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, I do believe they were related in some manner, I am quite busy, but I'm sure someone will tell us. Seasons greetings & hope a healthy new year!

    • @AbandonedUK
      @AbandonedUK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I managed to do a little research today & Actresses Olivia & half sister Joan Fontaine descended from Charles, brother to Lt Col Thomas Fiott who were born eleven years apart, the history is pretty interesting & is an Anglo French family belonging to landed gentry that originated from mainland Normandy & settled in Guernsey in the middle ages, A branch of the family resided for many years at Havilland Hall near St Peter Port in Guernsey.

    • @OhBudel1965
      @OhBudel1965 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AbandonedUK thank you for looking into this a little further. It seems like anything of real interest was removed from the home and what was left seemed of little importance. Have you seen the great documentary "Grey Gardens"? I kept thinking about that film while watching your footage.
      Cheers! Here's to our health. Best regards to you and your family from Wisconsin.
