If you don't remove the dust seal from the new bearings and pack them with grease you are waisting your time.the new bearings come with very little to no grease at all.
I would grab the top of your tire and see if it pushes in and out every couple oil changes. Once a year jack it up, remove tire, and spin the hub by hand making sure it it nice and smooth. Bearing should last for some time but in my case they have not. I would say at least every other year, pull off the hub and check by hand to make sure they are good. Only takes a couple minutes and you can clean all your brakes at the same time.
I ordered them as a nice kit from Rocky Mountain. I did this video a while back. I have been having so many issues with aftermarket parts that are made in China, I am switching to OEM for all my critical parts. These have not failed, but will continue to monitor every race.
Great video thanks showing us . I ordered bearings but didn't know I needed seals. Back to the store . lol
Thanks. Pretty easy job overall.
Are you going to make it to Ironman this year ?
Not racing it, but I may go there to see folks and do a little filming. You going?
@@Team2Gils If all goes Good At the Mountain State Hare Schramble race this weekend we will be out. We have never been there before
@@wittracing72davidwitt74 great, if you haven't been to Ironman, you want to make it at least once.
Great video Rick…yea
I believe it’s time for me 2 change mines out I felt that play on the left side on my quad the other day
Pretty easy job overall.
Nice video Rick! Where can you buy the spacer that the seal rides on? Thanks. Looked for grandsons yfz450 and I couldn't find them!
Try Shock Parts on ebay or Google
Sorry, thinking about the wrong spacer. This is an oem part I got from rmatv.
I think you should work some grease in the bearing before you put it back together
Add bas as parts are today, you need to double check everything for sure. Bearings have been crap lately.

Getting cheap for sure
Is there an X amount of hours when those should be replaced?
