Great video! I may be over thinking this. But you're essentially using the cone spacer to punch out the two bearings? So, you need a bolt that is bigger than the opening on the smaller side?
thanks for the reply. update on this, I just used a small socket for the smaller bearing. I used one that was just bigger than the smaller bearing hole. you do end up using the cone spacer as the mechanism to knock the bearing out. and I was worried about the threads of the bolt notching into the spacer. there was no sign of damage on the cone spacer using the socket. hope this helps!
@@TheATVWorldVideos I think they added a spacer I have a spacer on the shaft that the back bearing is against then the one in the middle also one on the outside bearing.. but my quad is a 660 idk if that makes a difference
Nice!
I know, thanks!!! Once my dad found this way, it's saved us so much time over the years!
@@TheATVWorldVideos For sure! That’s what TH-cam is good for!
@@DUNEATV heck yeah! Not just entertaining but a lot of informative stuff out there for sure!
5/8in bolt with about 3 inches of non-threaded with the threads cut off did it for me. Worked perfect!
Good deal!!
Dude, this is ingenious and literally saved my ass on my 08’ Raptor 250 front bearing removal. Great idea and thanks for sharing! 🍻🤘
Glad we could help 😎
If we didn’t ride so much , I never would have figured this little trick ! Let’s go for another 4000 miles on the 700 Raptor !!
It’s a vicious cycle for sure!

Yes , 2 big to go in but small enough to go in big side , pop small one first then turn over for big bearing !

What type of tires you got on the raptor?
GBC XC Masters
What size socket
What size bolt did you use?
I will have to ask him why size bolt, I’m not 100% sure.
24mm or 15/16 bolt or use a 1/2 inch ratchet extension, Any will work fine!
What about the spacer for the back
Are you talking about the shaft between the 2 bearing?
@@TheATVWorldVideos I think they added a spacer I have a spacer on the shaft that the back bearing is against then the one in the middle also one on the outside bearing.. but my quad is a 660 idk if that makes a difference
It being a 660 could be the difference since a lot was changed from the 660 to the 700.
@@TheATVWorldVideos ok thank you for your time
FYI Thats the same as 700 , has a little spacer on back then big spacer inside hub then small spacer under nut .
👍👍👍

Heck yeah!
You're not supposed to grease these things?
We grease them when we install them, but after installed you can’t grease them.
I used the old bearing to hammer in the new one but now the old ones too far in for anything to grip onto it to take it out 😅
We haven't encountered that issue any of the times we have done this.
