Hey man, I know a little trick to check points that you might like. Points ignition on small engines dont require any RPM's and if you want to quickly check to see if you have spark you can just rock the fly wheel back and forth across the magnets and it will spark. You cant do this with electronic ignition though it does have to have a min RPM speed. You are probably to young to know this, in fact I am in my mid 40's and I had forgotten this until yesterday when I saw a old timer do it at his shop. It has been a long time since I even thought about this of even had a points ignition briggs in my shop. I only offered this info because you dont have to put the clutch back on, just the flywheel key and rock it back and forth across the mags.

I completely forgot about that. Ya that would have made things ways easier
Any suggestions on where to get that clutch removing tool that you used with your impact wrench.

Probably the fastest method would be Amazon. I ordered mine from jacks small engine. Took about 4 days if I remember.
