Hilary Hahn has the unparalleled ability to make every note count. Though her playing never lacks for feeling, neither does it ever pass over details or lose the music itself to passion and performance.
And while I'm on the topic, I'm amazed at how utterly unknown Gidon Kremer is / was in the US. I saw him play to a nearly empty auditorium about 1986, just a few months after Perlman completely sold out a much larger venue in the same city.
Hilary Hahn is probably the greatest interpreter of Bach in the world. Her performance of the Sarabande from the first Partita was sublime. So warm and heartfelt!

Such a joy and love listening to Hilary and the Orchestra's she plays with, I have a great appreciation for all the members. I started percussion at 7 yrs old, one might say that all music is a saving Grace for all Humanity, and I praise God for the many talents it takes for such wonderful performance, Bravissimo and Thank You ❤
No words to describe the vigorous strokes, the exact beat, and the affectionate flows of emotion. Literally, she is the embodiment of the Grace ,the exquisite beauty of violins
Von Vieuxtemps kannte ich bisher nur den Namen. Eine Entdeckung. Wie immer ist Hilary Hahn sympathisch souverän. Wie kann man es zu solch einer Meisterschaft bringen?!
Ms. Hahn has such a delightful character and it shows in her performances. She also looks prettier as time goes by. I am watching her over 20 years now
I only discovered her this week via a performance of Bach partita no 2 as a student. What have I missed?? Believe me, it will be a great pleasure to catch up.
I'm so glad to see this entire performance on one video; such a great concerto & she's a spectacular violinist! And wearing a dress with pockets speaks volumes...
Surely God must have said "Let us make a wonderful girl, who will change the world with her musical ability and tone and feeling and let's get her a violin". Bravo Hilary, you always charm and overwhelm with your work.
I have never heard this before, but then I have never studied music. I love it. It is melodic and yet fresh and delightful, and of course it is performed by Hilary and accompanied by an orchestra and and conductor I have admired but I am only now realizing that I am going to be re-appreciating in the coming months. I have known of Hilary for many years as I heard her play at a performance at a Baltimore county park with the Baltimore Symphony at a forth of July Celebration when she was only around twelve or fourteen years of age. She was remarkable even then though she had not yet entered the conservatory of music in Philadelphia. The concert was directed by David Zinman. I want to thank TH-cam and the anonymous person who uploaded it as it has made my winter a more happy one!
For this performance alone, Hillary Hahn will stay in my memory as one of the finest violinists forever. Because of her, this concerto remains one of my favorite of all time,
Classical music has played a crucial role in the evolution of Western music. Composers from different periods, such as the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras, each contributed unique styles and forms. This music often reflects the cultural and social contexts of its time, making it a rich subject for historical and cultural studies.
I just Love Watching Hilary Hahn Perform A Favorite Of Mine And The Composer Vieuxtemps Is New To Me So I Must Learn About His Province And The Orchestra And Conductor Superb,I Am Pleased, Thank You!
She is just money 💰. She makes that violin sing like a disney princess. The composer himself is probably saying "Holy Crap, i wrote that"? I am awesome! 💖🎻🎶🎵🎶💪
I just noticed that the beginning of the first and fourth movement, the orchestra part, are the same. The difference is that the fourth movement is lively but the first is a bit frustrated...
even the principal oboist is trying no to laugh 'cause he is watching this battle between soloist, conductor and the whole orchestra right in the min 19:04
Come on! Hilary Hahn never played in the big violin competitions and the reason is no prizes for Hahn! Ann Sophie Mutter is so restless and out of rhythmic balance all the time! Mutter never played in the big violin competitions and the reason is no prizes for Mutter! Mutter is famous only because Karajan was her friend! Sarah Chang has thin colorless dry cold violin sound like Black and White tv picture! Chang never played in the big violin competitions and the reason is no prizes for Chang!
This is the first time I've heard this piece being played correctly and it doesn't sound right because I'm too used to hearing Heifetz playing it poorly on purpose as a joke.

The greatest interpreter of Bach is Arthur Grumiaux
@@deancorso4630 I disagree Dean. Grumiaux is very good but Hilary hahn has Bach in her blood! Julia Fischer is also wonderful.

Très belle interprétation de Hilary Hahn, conduite sans hâte, sous la baguette d'un grand chef.
