  • By rethinking our experience with the sun, Louis spoke about his personal experiences with our normal working time and he realized productivity is lost in the middle of working hours. He also explained a study that explained how the brain works especially when exposed to sunshine. Linked with having no life after work, Louis shared how moving our sun forward by changing our clocks would aid productivity and lives after work.

This is a textbook definition for how a company fully exploits all usable work energy. After those work hours are over there is no energy left for anything but rest. It literally just shifts the rest period. The problem is how many hours and days a week people have to work.

Exactly, ...I really want to go back to school and get a degree I'm already 35....I work noc shift 12 hours 6 days a week in a group home...after going home and sleeping I only have a few hours to eat and maybe have a small outing then back to work...I have no energy for nothing else I feel so trapped...I even registered for school met with a counselor...I would literally have to not sleep in order to achieve it , it's impossible especially living on my own in California so expensive I never had any support...even when I lived with my parents they made me get a job at 16...I've never had the chance to focus on myself I wish I just could go to school and not work but I can't I pray God guides me to success he is my only hope

We are working full time and living part time. I barely have 4 hours after work to do what i need to do to survive. In the morning i can barely wake up and can easily go days without a proper shower. Energy is too low because of a lack of rest.

I’m in the US and this is so true. I just have 3 hours after work. And even though I have weekends off every other week, and in between a weekday and Sunday off, I feel so unmotivated to do anything. I used to love baking often finding it therapeutic but now I haven’t baked in two years 😢 I hardly have time for myself anymore.

Because I have to drop my family off individually before I go to work, I get up at 6:00 and leave the house at 7 - even though I don’t work until 9:30. I get off at 6:30 and then come home, cook, then prep my next day work clean and go to bed. Don’t even watch tv. Repeat. Thank god I love my job

Yeah working 50 hours a week and getting off 2:00 a.m. makes going to the club a little hard when you're in a state that stop serving alcohol at, 2:00 a.m.

The problem with that is that it would create a lot of confusion if not unilateral.

Do we have day light savings time in canada it turns it back or forward an hour to keep up with light cycle. The problem is humans don’t have the attention span to be doing the same task for long periods of time. The first time I drove machinery it was fun. Now it’s a job

I currently work Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM. 30 mins commute. I’m trying to find a way to be productive since I’ve made it a habit of taking a nap after work and I acknowledge it’s not the best use of my time.
