G'day mate I'm looking at doing the egr blank mod to my 03 GU ZD30DI and I'll also be removing the butterfly valve, I was just curious how you blocked the vacuum line for it without it throwing any codes? :) Thank you!
Hi mate you won't get a code on an 03, for the vacuum line to the swirl valve I put a short section of thin rod into the hose to seal the vacuum and for it to still connect to the diaphragm so it looks std from the outside. for blocking the EGR I would block at where the pipe across the back of the engine connects to the EGR valve and also at the top where the alloy riser bolts to the manifold. I have actually just removed the complete cross pipe, making a plate to cover where bolts to the exhaust manifold as well as the plate on the inlet manifold. I left the EGR valve itself in position so basically it still appears to be std.
