And i say this as a Jobless Concept Artist (thanks to Ubisoft)
I'm not gonna make any promise, but someone earlier gave me the inspiration and later this week I might write a community post about it - I'm thinking I might want to start helping small indie devs (and artists like you), through promotion on my channel.
Stick around if interested, I'll share more details once I've thought things through.
I hope that speech makes those greedy developers open their mind of what the consumers wants
It won't, but that doesn't take anything away from it, things needed to be said regardless
This speech is AMAZING… if it is heard by good people.
The industry has been infected by parasites.
They will make games for themselves… but not because they are gamers that play games, but rather because they are parasites that want to spread the infection.
Since they are monsters and not gamers, they aren’t creating “something new” born of creativity, but created a monster.
They don’t care about market share… because they are evil and their actual goal isn’t to partake in the gaming industry but the opposite. THESE MONSTERS HAVE PUBLICLY SAID THAT THEY WANT TO SEE THIS INDUSTRY CRASH AND BURN.
So gamers, let’s protect games like Baldur’s Gate 3. Let’s protect games like Wukong. And let’s protect games like ATRO! THAT 100% DESERVED THIS AS MUCH AS THE OTHER 1-2 AMAZING CONTENDERS THAT WERE ALSO WORTHY!
Interesting way of putting it
I'm saving this for a new cringe Le Epic Gamer Copypasta.
@@josetomascamposrobledano4618 You're referring pretty vaguely, but I'd like to ask you to be a bit more specific. What you are referring to, and why.
I smiled from ear to ear his entire speech. He gave them the answers even though theyve been in front of the them the whole time. Its easy. Just love what you do and do what you love but remember the fans.
Well said🙂👍👏
Completely agree with the guy on every bit of the statement, but unfortunately this speech has no value for the forthcoming 2025-onward winners since 2020 saw The Last of Us part II winning over Ghost of Tsushima.
We'll see I suppose, the oracle could be right just as she could be wrong
And this year saw AstroBot win
But I guess it wouldn't matter if Ghost of Yōtei wins in the future because female protagonist "agenda" is "woke"?
Kudos to Swen Vincke. Too sad that neither EA, Ubisoft or Microsoft care for any of it.
Its GTA6, we already know it will win 2025 goty
Imagine it gets delayed
This was the best tga for me
I enjoyed it myself, overall, definitely much better than last year's
"They didn't treat their players as users to exploit." Love how the camera pans over the audience after that and you can see the guys from blizzard are amongst those who are NOT clapping and cheering to this xD
I really wanted a separate view with JUST the audience, during the whole speech, to look them in the eyes.
Last year after the Game Awards someone mentioned 'Belgians do it better'. I start to believe it.
lmao
He was talking about blizzard from 1995 until 2006. After that Blizzard forgot who they were.
Plenty studios would fit the description tbh
