Any reason why you installed the bolts from the top with the nut on the bottom? It seems to me the nuts on top would be better so you dont hit something under your truck with those bolts sticking down.

@@edscorsese I have been a mechanic for almost 40 years and I have always thought things through as I look at ways to accomplish what I am needing too. The one thing I have noticed over the years is how many mechanics make things much harder than they need to. Sometimes there is no way around doing something the long way but many times there are. Most these youtube guys are simply following instructions or doing things based on what they have seen in other videos.
For instance, I replaced an alternator on a Nissan Murano the other day and the manufactures instructions say to remove the radiator I showed in the video that it is NOT necessary.
      th-cam.com/video/sNkba5TwkAk/w-d-xo.html
I changed the HID bulbs on a 2008 Infiniti QX56 and the manual tells you to remove the entire front bumper cover, I did it without removing the cover and it is much easier and less chance of messing anything up.
      th-cam.com/video/q6RRlc8L2NQ/w-d-xo.html
My hole idea is if it can be done quicker and easier I try to do it.
As far as the leveling kit, the outcome doing the way I did accomplishes the same thing in the end and it isn't like you leave anything off or un-done.
The nicest thing about youtube is you can watch a few video on the same subject and you can usually get a good idea of how you want to do it.

I have a 2021 Silverado RST Z71. It’s a 4x4. I get I need to measure and stuff to find out what I need. However, I also heard that leveling kit by itself might hurt the CV angles and joints, etc. What do you think about this? And if that is the case are there any complete kits that you recommend?

@@kdssupplyllc2720 if you believe this kit caused your suspension to fail prematurely why would you continue to have it on and replaced your suspension components “several times” makes no sense. Also, you should know that suspension parts will eventually fail from wear and tear even on stock status without a leveling kit. So would you share the reasons why you took the repetitive actions?
