We use Taro a lot in Nigeria, it can be used to thicken soup, also can be grated to make a type of dumpling in Nigeria call ekpang . It is known as cocoyam in Nigeria, you can also ground it to make swallow for soups. I enjoy watching you & your husband, I always have a smile on my face watching your videos

Hi Rose! I had no clue what a taro plant actually looked like. I love taro and I would love to try this recipe! Every single thing about this dish looked absolutely delicious! Thank you both for sharing! You know it’s yummy if Anzai loves it!
A little tip…..What I do to keep my cutting boards from getting away from me…..Take a kitchen towel, wet it, wring it out, and put it underneath your board. The damp towel will keep the board from slipping and moving. I hope you’ll give it a try.

Those leaves are very good to make a stew. Wash clean, roll a bunch of then together and cut them up, have your onions garlic and desired spices cooking until fragrant add leaves and sprinkle a little water if they are drained of the water. Cover. The steam will reduce it. Then add your salt and what kiks it up a notch is a cup of rich coconut milk.

    Saw "big hairy worm"-🐛.
🌹Rosa, good to see your son. Good for kids to help in kitchen, they learn to cook parent's great recipes.
Very fascinating how the Taro is picked, boiled, peeled and kneaded into flour.
[Love how you stopped to tell auntie you saw "big hairy worm" , when picking Taro- 😁]
